Chapter 117

  Jordan.

I looked at the dress I was wearing. It was a fitted shirt, but it was a little wrinkled at the front and had little color shades.

The grey pant I was wearing also looked so old.

I remembered these clothes, they were exactly like a set I had when I was still with Nicole. They duplicated them and made them old so I would look like I was really desperate.

I touched my face and looked into the mirror. After the spell a Wizard just cast on me, I looked like a mess.

“Do I really have to look so miserable?” I asked with a frown that made me look even more horrible.

“You picked the game you were going to go with yourself and now you have to look perfect for the role,” Hardin, a Elder Wizard said and I nodded with a sigh.

I was the one who told Nicole that I was broke. I should have gone with something else, but really, what else could I have said. I also couldn’t afford to stutter and I had to say the first thing that came to my mind.

“You still look hot to me,” Lycian said with a smile and placed his hands on my shoulder, adjusting the collar of my shirt.

“I wish I could kiss you right now,” I leaned closer to him and whispered softly.

I looked up and the two Sanctum agents standing by glanced at each other awkwardly.

I smiled realizing they could hear us, and I looked at the door as it opened. Darell stepped into the room with five Sanctum officials behind me and he looked at me, observing how I looked.

“Good.” He nodded, but I sneered. I looked horrible.

“We have just 25 minutes now,” I said, looking at the time on a wall clock. They even took away my wristwatch.

The most painful thing is that they had to change my haircut. I loved my hair the way it was.

When this is over, they’ll have to magically restore it to the way it was.

I heard my phone buzz in my pocket.

“Excuse me,” I said and reached into my pocket. I looked at the screen to see a notification of a text from Jenna and I clicked on it.

Jenna; is a wine tuxedo okay?

Wine? Absolutely not. The keyboard popped up and I quickly replied her.

  Jordan; No. Blue.

  Jordan; Navy blue.

I switched off the phone and dropped the phone in my pocket.

“It was Jenna,” I told Lycian and faced Darell. We were running out of time already.

“Okay,” Darell said and brought out the portal device. As it was switched on, blue waves flowed out of it and whirled in the air, forming a portal.

I faced Lycian and he nodded. He had to wait here since he couldn’t follow us.

“Be safe,” he said and nodded with a smile.

The portal fully formed and the others would who stay around and follow Nicole as soon as she left came forward and stood beside me.

“Here goes nothing.” I sighed before stepping into the portal.

I grunted and groaned as my hands held on to the rock. I looked down briefly at the endless pit of darkness beneath me.

I can’t fall into this. No I can’t! I grunted as my hand struggled to maintain the grip of the shallow rock edge.

“Help!” I shouted and took a brief glance at the endless pit beneath me again, fear eating away at my heart.

“Someone help!” I shouted again and grunted as one of my hands broke off the edge it was holding on to.

I was now holding on with a single hand and I looked down again. All I could see in the pit was darkness and it appeared to have no end.

I began to hear heavy footsteps and I intensified my cry for help.

“Help me!” I screamed at the top of my voice, not minding my dry throat.

I saw someone walk towards me and I could see his legs. I raised my head a little more bit and I was surprised to see who was standing there.

It was an exact replica of me except that his eyes were dark, his hair was long and his lips were a darker shade of red.

  Who was he?

“Help me,” I cried, forgetting all of my questions for now.

He stared at me with disdain and hissed.

“You’re so weak,” he said with irritation in his tone.

“You can get all the power in the world, but all you do is live a normal life and depend on blood,” he continued and I glanced down again, grabbing tightly onto the rock.

  What was he saying?

“Only one person deserves to survive and it won’t be a loser like you.” He looked at me disdainfully and bent down.

“Please help me,” I cried, but he looked like he didn’t give a damn about what happens to me.

“GoodBye,” he said and I watched his claws extend from his fingers. He suddenly stabbed my hand with his claws and I cried in pain.

“Please,” I pleaded, but he refused and suddenly removed his claws, throwing my hand away. I screamed as I fell down into the pit of darkness.

I continued falling down what seemed like an endless pit, with my arms and legs flailing in the air.

I suddenly felt my hand grab something and I grunted as I hung onto it. I looked up and my hand was holding on to an iron rod. I couldn’t see what the iron rod was attached to because of the stark darkness, but I grunted as I stretched out my other hand and wrapped it around the rod.

My both hands were holding on to the rod and I closed my eyes. I let out a deep breath and I felt filled with anger and determination.

I summoned every last bit of strength in me and I cried loudly as I leaped into the air.

Bouncing up with every strength in me, I grunted as my hand grabbed onto the top rock again.

This time, it was a more stable one and easy to grip. I cried loudly again as I jumped up and I landed on land.

I opened my eyes and looked up to see myself standing in an open land. There were trees around and they all blossomed with beautiful flowers.

My gaze landed on the dark replica of me walking up ahead. He suddenly stopped walking and turned around to face me.

His lips curled up into a devious grin and I panted heavily as I looked at him with hate.

He suddenly began to zoom towards me and I also zoomed towards him at full speed.

We clashed together with our arms and we continued moving at super speed, throwing punches and countering them.

I groaned as he suddenly threw a punch up my jaw and I flew into the air before landing on the floor.

He smirked as he stood over me with all sorts of dark aura coming off him.

“You’re weak. This is all part of your mind, and you’re responsible for what happens here.” He sneered and I grunted as I slowly got up on my feet.

“You’re right. I’m responsible for it all,” I said and I looked at my hand as a large sickle appeared in it.

Before he could react, I moved at full speed and swung the silver metal at him, striking him in the heart.

He gasped and groaned in pain as I drove the sickle into his heart and his heart bled as he fell on his knees.

I let go of the sickle and watched as he slowly got weaker and weaker. I thought he’d die, but the sickle in his heart suddenly disappeared.

I looked around as the green plants and flowers around slowly got drained of their color and turned into grey ashes.

I looked back at my dark replica and he had already stood up on his feet, looking like nothing had happened to him.

“I am the Reaper and I’m also in control,” he said as a sickle with a blood red handle appeared in his hand.

I slowly moved backward and raised up my hand as the swung the sickle at him with a loud cry.

I slowly moved backward and raised up my hand as the swung the sickle at him with a loud cry.

I braced myself for the impact of the sickle when suddenly, the sky turned dark and I felt a hand grab me from behind and pull me into the darkness.
