Chapter 118

I looked back at my dark replica and he had already stood up on his feet, looking like nothing had happened to him.

“I am the Reaper and I’m also in control,” he said as a sickle with a blood red handle appeared in his hand.

I slowly moved backward and raised up my hand as the swung the sickle at him with a loud cry.

I slowly moved backward and raised up my hand as the swung the sickle at him with a loud cry.

I braced myself for the impact of the sickle when suddenly, the sky turned dark and I felt a hand grab me from behind and pull me into the darkness.

I screamed as the darkness sucked me in and soon, I landed on the floor with a grunt and I slowly opened my eyes.

I looked around where I was and I felt fear crawl under my skin. I was no longer in that serene and beautiful grassland. Well it was beautiful until my dark replica sucked all the life the green plants to replenish his strength.

What kind of mind fantasy was I living in.

I stood up on my feet, taking a look around again.

I was in a place filled with dark and large rocks. There were holes in the floor and they were all filled with bubbling red hot liquid.

  Magma, I think.

I looked up at the sky. It wasn’t your normal blue sky. It was dark purple in color and it cast a dark glow everywhere.

The only light in it was a blood red sun with a small part of it peeking from behind the dark purple clouds.

  Where was I?

I turned around suddenly as I sensed a swift movement.

There was no one there. I was feeling uneasy and fear crawled under my skin, every nerve in me being on alert.

I sensed another movement from behind again and I turned around again only for me to meet with an heavy punch to my face.

I groaned as I fell to the floor and I cried as the tips of my finger entered one of the holes in the floor and touched the hot magma.

I quickly took my fingers away and watched as they sizzled, the flesh on them burning away.

I looked up to see my dark replica standing over me with a wide grin.

“Why the heck am I seeing you?!” I asked, shouting at the loudest my voice could go.

“Why do you keep appearing to me, why can’t I erase you from my mind?!” I asked and his lips curled up into wicked smile.

“Because I’m also a part of your consciousness!” He yelled at me.

“A consciousness that wants to be given freedom and take decisions too!” He yelled again and I scoffed. I slowly stood up on my feet and glared back at him.

Pftt. Take decisions? Part of my consciousness?

“What the heck are you saying?” I asked.

“I’m saying that I’ve been kept locked up for too long and now you need to go so I can take over,” He seethed and his eyes hot darker.

I glanced at his hand as a sword appeared in his hand and the blade gradually got longer and longer.

“You have to die!” He yelled and the sword was now a long sword with a red glow at the centre.

I moved backward slowly, occasionally glancing behind me so I wouldn’t fall into any of the magma holes.

He kept walking towards me and I knew I had no choice but to run or fight him back.

I stopped moving immediately and I stared defiantly into his visor. I breathed out loudly and I imagined a similar sword appearing in my hand too.

Soon, a similar sword formed in my hand except with a blue glow running through this one instead.

My dark replica dashed at me and swung his sword at me. I moved out the way at super speed and tried striking him with my own sword from behind.

He turned around suddenly and swiftly brought his sword forward too to counter my sword.

Our swords clashed against each other with a loud sound and blue and red sparks flee into the air.

Our swords remained locked and we glared at each other.

We suddenly removed our swords at the same time and he tried to strike my leg with the sword..

I bent quickly and used my sword to counter his sword, the sonorous metal clashing filling the air.

I pushed up his sword and tried to slash his neck with the sword, but he zoomed out of the way and kicked me from behind with force.

I grunted as my hand flailed in the air and I lost my balance.

I looked over my shoulder to see a magma hole directly behind.

If I fell, I would land directly inside it and it would melt my bones and flesh immediately.

I looked up and saw my dark replica glance at the magma hole behind me and his lips curled up into a wicked smile.

I screamed as he kicked my leg with force and I immediately lost balance, falling on my back.

I expected to fall into a magma hole, but just as I landed, the magma hole disappeared and I landed on a rocky ground.

I sighed in relief. This was all my mind afterall so I could control what happens.

I looked up to see my dark replica frown at that, but then he glanced at my sword that was lying on the floor.

It fell when I was about to loose balance.

The frown disappeared and quick got replaced by a smile.

He began to walk towards me, but quickly, I focused on the floor before him.

He quickly stopped walking and moved backward as the floor before him turned into a large hole filled with boiling hot magma.

“Not bad,” he shrugged and then smiled wickedly, “but It’s nothing special either.”

Immediately he said that, the magma hole once again changed to the rocky floor and as I was still on the floor, he dashed at me with his sword.

“Good bye,” he said and raised up his sword, bringing it down for me.
