Chapter 136

  Jordan..

I blinked as I stepped out of the portal. I recognised everything around me just as it had been in my mental world. The same silence and the same feeling of the lingering of air on my skin.

I looked over my shoulder as the portal closed and Darell looked at me in uncertainty..

“Are you sure about this?” He asked and I nodded. I looked up with my Vampire sight and spotted the same building from afar up.

I walked slowly down the street, and I suddenly stopped when I spotted something familiar on the floor. It was the same ruffled newspaper I had found on the floor in my mental world and it had the exact same details.

This was a good sign right?

I heard a car coming from behind and I quickly got in the middle of the road. The car came to a screeching halt and it had barely avoided hitting me.

I could hear the heartbeat of the man in the car beating fast and he looked annoyed.

“What the fuck man!” He yelled and opened the door of the car, climbing down.

“What the heck did you do that for?” He asked in anger as he walked closer to me.

As soon as he was close enough, I locked my eyes with his and he immediately stopped talking.

“You’re going to get in the car now and drive to the that building,” I said softly, pointing at the house.

“I want you to knock over their mail box with your car the you’ll knock and show them the broken mail box, apologizing,” I added and he nodded.

  “Good.” I patted his shoulder.

He walked back to his car immediately and he got in, igniting the engine of the car once again.

I faced Darell and the Sanctum official and shrugged.

“I would use that cloaking spell now,” I said the Elder Wizard nodded.

He walked closer and stretched his both hands towards me.

“Invisique havenum,” he chanted and I felt a spike in the magical atmosphere. Wow, until now, I had never had that feeling and that wasn’t all.

I felt like I could absorb the magical energy of that spell and render it useless.

I could have sworn I was about to do that but for my dark replica’s image flashing in my mind and controlling me.

“Okay.” I said and zoomed towards the building. I looked as the man drove closer and then, just as I had instructed, he knocked over the mail box with his car. He stopped driving immediately and he got out of the car, walking forward and picking up the broken half of the mail box.

He looked at the building and he walked up to the door, knocking on the door.

Okay, let’s see how this goes, I thought to my nervous self and looked at the door as I waited for someone to answer it.

I finally heard the door click open and a young woman stepped out the house. I could sense her. She was just human.

What if Darell was right and I was wrong. She had such a sweet smile and she looked at the man before her with curiousity.

“Hello, how may I help you?” She asked the man sweetly.

I was suppose to zoom in when she opens the door, but she closed the door as soon as she opened it and came to attend to the visitor outside.

  Wasn’t that suspicious.

“I was driving and I accidentally knocked over your mail box, I’m really sorry,” the man explained and apologized just as I had asked him to.

The lady frowned a bit before putting on her sweet smile once again.

“Oh. Thanks. I’ll take that,” she said and she collected the broken half of the mailbox from the man.

The man nodded before climbing down and walking back to the car. The lady remained at the door and watched as he climbed into his car and drive away. She kept staring at the car as it drove away until it disappeared out of sight.

Okay, that was also suspicious. She dropped the mail box by the side of the door and dusted her hand. I breathed in as I prepared to take the only chance I had.

As soon as she opened the door, I zoomed forward and slipped into the house by zooming past her. I sighed internally as she closed the door. I looked around and saw that the inside of the house looked exactly the same as it had in my mental world.

Okay, what do I look for now? Just as I asked myself that question, I saw someone approach.

I could sense that it was a Vampire and I got nervous as the person got closer and closer, hoping that I wouldn’t be detected.

The person finally walked into the living room and the lady smiled at him.

Hell! I was right! I thought to myself as I looked at the man standing in the room. It was Nicole’s brother, Kyle.

There was a tiny camera attached to my shirt so I hope they were watching this.

“Oh my god! You were right Jordan,” I heard Darell’s voice through the earpiece in my left ear.

“That’s Kyle Speranzini. His uncle is the leader of the Speranzini syndicate,” Darell continued and I nodded.

“What was that?” Kyle asked the lady who smiled sweetly at him.

“Some man accidentally knocked over our mail box,” she replied in a soft tone and he glanced at the door suspiciously.

“Did he come in?” Kyle asked.

“No, he didn’t. I attended to him outside and I watched him leave,” She answered and he nodded in satisfaction.

“You look tired, Mr. Speranzini. Would you like a drink?” The lady asked and I watched her tilt her head to the side and expose her bare neck.

Kyle nodded and smiled before leaning in closer to her and sinking his fangs into her neck.

She only let out a tiny whimper as he fed on her and he finally moved away from her, wiping his mouth.

She touched her neck and looked at the blood on her fingers.

“I’ll go clean that up,” she said before walking away and Kyle stood in the room, resting his palm on his waist.

I knew I was right. This was their base of operation and they were compelling humans so that they can hide their activities from everyone.

  Not anymore
