Jordan.
I blinked as I stepped out of the portal. We were back at the Sanctum Headquarter and I had a smug smile on my face as I looked at everyone present in the room.
“So you were right, Hungh?” Stefan asked and I smiled, nodding and stretching out my hands in a cocky manner.
“Oh. Come on,” He scoffed and shook his head. I looked around the room as I realised a face was missing.
“Where’s Mr. You’re Guilty?” I asked, staring at Stefan.
“He has something else to do, so he left,” he replied and I nodded.
“We have to carefully plan our attack on them so they wouldn’t be able to slip out of it,” Darell said and I faced him, shaking my head.
“Unfortunately, we do not have enough time on our hands,” I said and Darell stared at me inquiringly..
“There’s a whole cargo of V being transported to Carlifonia this evening and we have to do this before we let out another badge of that thing I to the public,” I said and watched Darell’s eyes widen in surprise.
“But we need enough time to prepare on how we’re going to attack them,” a Sanctum official in the room said.
“Let’s pretend like we haven’t discovered them, and let this batch go so we can make proper preparations,” Another Sanctum official said, supporting the first one.
“But we can’t just let them!” I yelled and everyone looked at me in shock. Realizing how angry, I had just sounded, I calmed down and breathed in deeply.
Lycian walked closer and grabbed my hand to calm me down, but all I could feel was the energy coursing through his body and how it would feel so good to add it to mine.
I quickly pushed his hand away and he looked shocked. I had no choice and I couldn’t give an explanation here so I only looked at him apologetically before facing the rest.
“How would your conscience fair if you let another set of lives get wasted when you know you could have stopped it?” I asked calmly.
They all looked at each others faces while Darell remained silent the whole time, resting his palms on his waist and staring blankly into the air in indecision.
He finally stopped staring and he looked at me.
“Going to attack them without proper planning is dangerous and it’s like going on a suicidal mission,” Darell said and I sighed in frustration, shoving my fingers into my hair.
“I don’t want to lose any more of my men to that syndicate, but you’re right,” He added and I sighed on hearing the last part.
“We’re gonna need to gear up if we’re going to attack them,” He said and I smiled.

We were in the ground floor of the Sanctum’s headquarters and I sat by, watching as Vampires, Werewolves and Magicians working for Sanctum filled the floor, gearing themselves up and dressed in a khaki grey uniform.
“Do you mind explaining what happened back there?” I heard Lycian’s voice behind me and I looked over my shoulder to see him approach with his arms crossed over his chest.
He was referring to when he grabbed my hand and I pushed it away.
I moved aside to create a space to sit next to me on the couch.
I intertwined my fingers, toying with them as I didn’t know what to do. I was angry and frustrated then, and I felt this urge to siphon the energy out of him.
“Lycian, I’m sorry,” I said, looking at him apologetically and he swallowed.
“I’m sorry, but you need to trust me. I’ll explain everything to you as soon as this is over,” I added and he only stared at me.
He tried talk, but he stopped and simply nodded, then he faced me again to talk.
“Just make sure you’re doing the right thing,” He stated and we looked up as Darell and an Elder Wizard walked towards us.
“We’re ready,” Darell said and I nodded, standing up.
“We can’t go through the house this time, we need to be able to hit the basement directly with a lot of men,” Darell stated and I nodded, staring at him, curious to know where he was heading.
“We need a portal directly to the basement and we need the blood of someone who’s been there,” he added and I nodded. I stretched out my hands and the Elder Wizard was about to cut my palm with a knife, when I withdrew my hand.
“Isn’t it enough that I’m coming with you?” I asked, staring at the Elder Wizard for an answer.
“Yeah. I guess it is,” he replied, but Darell seemed surprised and disapproving.
“Jordan, it’s too dangerous, you can’t come with us,” He said shaking his head and Lycian also stood up, walking closer to us.
“Did you just say you want to go with them?” Lycian asked and I nodded.
“Yes, I’m a part of this mission right? I want to do this,” I stated, facing Darell who looked like he wasn’t ready to agree.
“This is dangerous Jordan. You do not have the experience that they had had on the field,” Lycian said in a disapproving tone, but I also wasn’t ready to agree with any of them.
“Yes, but I’m going with them!” I remained adamant and Darell sighed in frustration.
“It’s either that or you’ll have to find another way to portal to the basement,” I stated and crossed my arms over my chest.
“Okay. Fine, but I didn’t make you this,” Darell said and I smiled.
“No, you can’t let him do this,” Lycian said, trying to convince Darell.
“I’ll be fine Lycian,” I said in what almost sounded like a shout down. Lycian looked at me in surprise and nodded before going to sit down..
I hurt him again and I was about to go and apologize when Darell called me.
“Let’s go.” He said and I glanced at Lycian one last time before following him.
I saw the Elder Wizard join hands with a witch and they stretched out their other free hands into the air.
Hmn. No portal device this time.
“Transpositum Deterilium,” They chanted and a large portal began to form in the air.
Here goes nothing.
