Jordan.
I suddenly started moving twice the normal speed of Vampires and I grabbed Dean by the collar, sinking my fangs into his neck and drinking his blood.
It was Vampire blood and I was absorbing every bit of energy in me. He groaned helplessly with my fangs buried deep in his neck.
Kyle charged at me to save Dean, but I merely stretched out my right hand and grabbed his neck, lifting him up in the air.
I felt Dean go limp in my hand and I finally let go of him, allowing him drop lifelessly to the floor.
“Dean!” Nicole shouted, looking at his grey body on the floor.
Everyone else in the room was also looking at me in surprise and I could feel Kyle trying to struggle to break away.
I used my other hand to wipe the blood on my lips. I looked at Kyle and saw that his neck was glowing faintly as I absorbed the energy him.
“Oh. He’s a Reaper,” Darell said and I faced him. He just realized what I was.
I looked at Kyle again and decided that this was not the best way to let him suffer. I let go of him and he gapsed as he fell to the floor, rubbing his neck.
“What’s a Reaper?” Lycian asked and I glanced at him.
I smiled. “Let’s finish up first,” I said and faced Kyle who was sitting on the floor. Part of his neck had been already turning grey and slowly, they regained their color.
He moved backward slowly as I walked closer to him, but I suddenly felt a whooshing sound past me. I turned around and saw Nicole wrapping her hand around Lycian’s neck and holding a stake directly to his heart.
“Step away from him now!” Nicole said in a threatening tone. I glanced at Kyle who was on the floor and back at Nicole as she pressed the stake tighter on Lycian’s chest.
“Don’t you dare do anything to him,” I said with my hands in front of me as I slowly walked towards her.
“Well, that depends on you,” She said and looked at my legs as I slowly moved towards her.
“Don’t you take a step forward!” She threatened and Lycian winced in pain as she pressed the stake to his chest even more.
I nodded and stopped walking.
“Now, I want you and everyone you brought to leave this place immediately,” She said and moved backward with Lycian.
“Once you go, I promise I’ll send him over,” She said and I smiled.
“But I don’t trust you,” I said and she scoffed, pressing the stake against Lycian’s chest again.
“I only trust myself.” Immediately, I stretched out my hand, concentrating all the energy in me to my hand and releasing a transparent blast of energy at Nicole.
The energy hit her in the chest and she groaned as it pushed her away and the stake flew out of her hand.
It worked. I didn’t think it would, but it worked.
Lycian quickly moved away from Nicole and she groaned in pain.
“You dare threaten me!” I yelled and I suddenly zoomed towards their youngest sibling, Nate who was standing with the Magicians.
I moved so fast before they could notice me and I grabbed him by the collar, lifting him up in the air and suddenly, I dug my hand into his chest and pulled out my heart.
“Nooooooo!” Nicole and Kyle screamed and I smirked as I held Nate’s beating heart in my hand. I let go of the heart and let it roll to the floor while his body dropped lifelessly to the floor.
“What are you waiting for?!! Kill him!!!” Nate shouted at the Magicians and since the fight began, they finally moved forward.
They grabbed each others hands and stretched out their free hands towards me, their eyes glowing in similar blue colors.
“Lorem Calatha Numevirum. Lorem Calatha Numevirum,” They began to chant and I pressed my lips into a tight line as I tried to determine what spell they were casting.
I felt the air around me begin to fuse together with blue sparks and I realised what they wanted to do.
They were going to create a boundary spell that would trap and suffocate me.
I looked at them again and breathed in deeply. I felt the magic in the air surge considerably and my hand began to glow as I absorbed the magucakr energy of the spell.
I grunted as the energy filled me and yet, the spell continued to process. They were channeling each other and the magic was too dense for me to completely absorb.
My body was taking in energy, but there were still remnants going into the creation of the boundary spell. I need to break the connection.
I groaned as I pushed my limits and absorbed as much energy as I could. Immediately the spell got a bit weak, I zoomed out of it and dashed at the Wizard at the center.
“Moticus,” he chanted and an invisible force pushed me backward causing me to land on my back.
I got up again and they continued their chants , creating a boundary spell. I looked around me and spotted a stake lying on the floor. I swiftly picked it up and threw it forward, making the stake lodge itself in the heart of the Wizard at the middle.
I felt their connection break that instant as he fell lifelessly to the floor and I absorbed the remaining bit of energy that was forming the boundary.
I looked sideways to see that Elijah was still on the floor with that stake injury in his stomach that kept bleeding. That couldn’t kill him, it was painful and thanks to me, it can’t heal itself.
“Let me just end your misery.” I smirked and walked closer to him. I saw Kyle stand up from the corner of my eyes and he zoomed at me. I suddenly grabbed him by the neck and tossed him away before bending down to meet Elijah. I smirked and he gritted his teeth in defiance before I dug my hand into his chest and pulled out his heart.
