Chapter 148

  Jordan.

I felt someone try to sneak up behind me and I immediately turned around, digging my hand into the person’s chest.

It was Kyle. He groaned as my hand entered his chest and wrapped around his warm beating heart.

“No. Don’t!” Nicole screamed and I looked at her with a fierce glare before facing Kyle again whose lips quivered as he tried to plead.

“Go rott in hell.” I seethed and immediately tore his heart out of his chest.

“Nooooooo!” Nicole screamed and I looked a the pumping heart in my hand before dropping it to the ground and letting go of Kyle’s body.

I looked around this side of the basement. It was only Nicole and one Wizard left and I would make them pay, especially the Wizard who made me forcefully siphon the life out of Lycian.

I glared at the two of them with my eyes filled with rage and I could see the fear in their eyes.

“Jordan, there’s no way for them to escape now,” Darell said from behind the barrier spell and I faced him. He was trying to convince me not to kill them and he seriously thought that I would listen to him after they killed Lycian.

“We can make this one accountable and pay for all their sins,” he continued, still trying to persuade me, but I shook my head.

“They’re going to die, and it’s going to be because they attacked us,” I said and looked away.

I walked towards the Wizard and he stretched out his palms that began to glow in a bright blue color.

“Moticus,” he chanted and as I felt the invisible force coming to hit me, I absorbed the magical energy of the spell.

He stretched out his both hands this time and clenched his fists.

I stopped moving and held my head, groaning in pain as the aneurysm spell hit me. I could feel my blood vessels swelling up and burst, heal and then start all over again.

I fell on my knees, holding my head as the pain continued.

I used my hand to search the floor and my fingers finally touched the wooden edge of a stake. I picked up the stake quickly and suddenly threw it at the Wizard.

The stake hit him but because I was disoriented, it only managed to strike his leg an that was enough to make him lose hold of the spell.

I quickly got up on my feet and zoomed towards me, but I stopped on hearing Nicole’s voice.

“Stop there right now!” She yelled and I faced her.

She was holding a keg and she poured it’s liquid content all over Lycian’s body.

I could smell that it was diesel. What the hell is she doing?! I felt my heart beat fast as I suspected what she wanted to to.

She reached into her pocket and took out a lighter and ignited it. No!

“Step away from him right now, or you’re never going to see the precious body of your dead boyfriend,” She said in a threatening tone and I had to do as she said or else she’ll burn Lycian’s body to ashes.

The Wizard who had been stabbed in the leg with a stake groaned as he struggled to get up on his feet and he dragged himself away from me, walking towards Nicole.

I watched the flames at the tip of the lighter as she held it over Lycian’s body and I gulped in fear.

The Wizard finally reached her after a painful dragging and blood trails all over the floor. Not like that mattered in the pool of blood we were standing in.

“Open a portal to get us out of here now!” Nicole instructed the Wizard and be nodded.

No! I can’t let them leave or get away with this.

Still, I can’t do anything right now. She was holding a flame over Lycian’s body that was soaked with diesel.

The Wizard stretched out his hands and gusts of wind slowly formed in the air. I have to do something about this.

I tried moving closer to them, but Nicole glared at me and she dropped her hand closer to the floor.

“Okay.” I said and moved back a little. I watched as the gusts of wind turned into blue waves that whirled around in the air and I stared at the portal as it formed.

I won’t let them get away with this.

The portal finally fully formed and I looked at Nicole as she suddenly threw the lighter towards me and she zoomed into the portal.

I caught the lighter in relief and watched as the Wizard also crawled into the portal. I smirked as the portal closed and I crushed the lighter between my palm.

I turned around and watched as blue sparks ripped through the air. The sparks turned into blue waves and they whirled around in the air to form a portal.

While the Wizard was creating the portal, I tapped into his magic and influenced it with the magical energy I had absorbed. I changed the location of the portal and he didn’t notice because of the distraction of his pain.

The portal fully opened and I watched as the both of them stepped out of the portal.

I saw the shock on their faces as they looked around and saw that they were back here.

“Well. Hello.” I smirked and suddenly zoomed towards them. I smacked the Wizard against the wall and ripped the bracelet off his hand.

I began to siphon the magical energy out of him and he groaned as I did so. Soon, the magical energy in him finished and I went on to siphon the life force out of him. The same thing he made me do to Lycian.

I watched in satisfaction as he began to turn grey and I could feel his body being drained of life. He finally turned grey completely and I let go of him, allowing him fall lifelessly to the ground.

I turned around to face Nicole and she slowly walked backward. She looked scared and she should.
