Jordan.
The portal fully opened and I watched as the both of them stepped out of the portal.
I saw the shock on their faces as they looked around and saw that they were back here.
“Well. Hello.” I smirked and suddenly zoomed towards them. I smacked the Wizard against the wall and ripped the bracelet off his hand.
I began to siphon the magical energy out of him and he groaned as I did so. Soon, the magical energy in him finished and I went on to siphon the life force out of him. The same thing he made me do to Lycian.
I watched in satisfaction as he began to turn grey and I could feel his body being drained of life. He finally turned grey completely and I let go of him, allowing him fall lifelessly to the ground.
I turned around to face Nicole and she slowly walked backward. She looked scared and she should.
“Not so tough now, Hungh?” I asked and slowly walked towards her as she also took slow steps backward.
“Please,”she pleaded, stretching out her hands.
“Please? You killed the one person that was preserving the thread that still held me on to my humanity!” I yelled at her, clenching my fists subconsciously as I kept walking slowly to her. The distance never reduced as she also continued walking backwards.
“I never commanded them to do that,” She said with her voice breaking in fear.
“You want me to forgive you?!” I asked and scoffed.
“Jordan. I promise she’s going to rot in jail forever,” Darell said, trying to persuade me not to kill her, but I knew within me that no matter what anybody says, I will end her life.
“She doesn’t deserve such mercy. All she deserves is to rot in hell,” I replied and when I faced Nicole, I saw her zooming at me with a stake in hand.
Swiftly, I stretched out my hands and concentrated all the magic I had absorbed my hands. Immediately, a big red blast fired out of my palms and I watched as it tore through the air and hit Nicole in the chest, digging into her and pushing out her heart.
She stopped moving immediately and groaned in pain as there was a large hole where her heart was supposed to be.
I watched her fall lifelessly to the floor and I looked at all the bodies on the floor, breathing in.
I looked at Lycian’s body and ran over to his body. I lifted his head up and made him lean on my hand.
“No! I shouldn’t have let him stay. I should have forced him to leave the moment he came here!” I cried and felt tears trickle down my face.
It felt like I had been stabbed in the heart and I couldn’t handle the pain I felt.
I can’t handle this. I sniffed and the despair and rage I felt pounded against my heart, giving me the urge to make anyone on my way to pay for this in the most gruesome way possible.
I wanted to lose control, but I can’t. I closer my eyes and breathed in as I switched control of consciousness.
I cried as I touched Lycian’s lifeless face. The image of him groaning in pain as I siphoned the life out of him caused my heart to ache and I wished I can bring back the Wizard who did this and make him suffer over and over again.
Bring him back! That’s it. What if I can bring Lycian back. He is only dead because the life was drained out of him and not because he was damaged.
What if I can return that life to him. I sniffed ans wiped the tears off my eyes as I prepared to try what should be considered impossible.
If I was able to release the magical energy I had absorbed as a blast, I should be able to release the life energy into his body.
I closed my eyes and placed my hands on his chest. I searched myself for the extra life energy coursing through my body and I concentrated every single bit of it into my palms, releasing it into his body.
I kept my palms on his chest and continued doing this until the only life energy I could feel was mine.
I opened my eyes and saw that his body was still grey and he didn’t seem alive. I felt tears bite at my eyes as I felt my hope come crashing down again.
I stood up and wiped the tears off my eyes when my enhanced hearing picked up a low beating sound.
I looked at Lycian’s body as I heard the beating sound and I realised that it was coming from Lycian.
Suddenly, he gasped and opened his eyes, jerking up. I laughed as I saw him open his eyes and look around in confusion.
I felt relief wash over me and I stretched out my hands to help him up to his feet.
“What happened?” He asked.
“You just defeated death,” I said and suddenly pulled him towards me, kissing him. We broke the kiss and I faced the Sanctum officials standing at the other side of the barrier wall.
I looked at the invisible wall and slowly stretched out my hands to touch it. As I felt the barrier, I placed my hand on it and siphoned the magical energy of the spell.
I felt the spell break and I slowly walked to the other side. It worked.
Darell rested his palms on his waist and looked at all the dead bodies and the blood on the floor of the basement before glancing at me and he nodded.
“You’re free to go. My men will clean this up,” He said and I nodded. The Elder Wizard stretched out his hands and I watched as he slowly created a portal.
I faced Lycian and he held my hand as the portal fully formed. I sighed loudly before walking into the portal.
We all stood in the room and I was anxious about the news of am entire Clan of Magicians waiting outside to kill Valerie.
“Before Miranda died, she gave me some instructions in case some things like this happened,” Garr stated and I remembered seeing Miranda talking to him that day when I arrived at the coven.
“It might be hard to do, but we have to put Valerie into an hibernation spell that’ll break only when she’s about to give birth,” Garr said and I didn’t expect that to be the kind of solution he was ready to offer.
“How does that help. They’ll keep trying to get to her and they’ll kill her in her sleep,” Xavier said and I nodded in support of what he said.
“The hibernation will completely shield her and the baby’s aura,” Garr stated, but I wasn’t convinced. Unless they saw with their eyes that the baby’s life was taken, they’ll suspect a foul play and would only find a way of countering the magic.
“And she also gave a solution that’ll keep everyone away and end the hunt for the baby’s life,” Garr added.
“What?” Valerie asked.
“She gave me a cloning ring that create a physical and spiritual replica of you. I’ll show your dead body to the Mages and I killed you because I’m a Wizard who also wants the same thing,” He explained and his hands glowed. A golden ring appeared in his palm and he held it out for us to see.
He faced Xavier who in turned faced Valerie and they stared at each other. They were probably thinking what to do.
Valerie would have nearly 9 months taken from her, but it’ll probably look like she slept briefly when she wakes up. Xavier on the hand would have to wait for all that period for her to wake up and give birth.
It was the only solution though and those Mages would soon start attacking and searching for her.
“Do it,” Xavier stated and Garr nodded. He stretched out his hands and I watched as he conjured a coffin up.
The coffin slowly dropped on the floor and it opened up.
He gave the ring to Valerie and she put it on.
He grabbed her hands and began to chant.
“Jeruso Halestro Diromio. Jeruso Halestro Diromio.” Suddenly, I saw a clone of Valerie appear next to her with eyes closed. Garr letr go of Valerie and grabbed the lifeless clone before it could fall to the floor.
Valerie also closed her eyes as she went unconscious and Xavier caught her in his hand.
“Place her in the coffin,” Garr said and Xavier slowly placed Valerie in the coffin, making her lie on her back.
Garr stretched his glowing hands attjr portal and he began to chant again. I watched as the coffin glowed and the lid slowly dropped, shutting the coffin.
With Valerie’s clone in his hand, he faced us.
“I’ll show her to them now,” he said and walked out of the room.
