Chapter 154

  Garr.

I looked at sideways as someone walked up to this table. It was Professor Parker.

He smiled at me and pulled back the chair on my left and sat down.

I looked at my wristwatch and saw that there was still 15 minutes till the contest begins. I would have used all this time to give the Taurus House participants one last instruction and guidance, except that it wasn't allowed.

"Oh, Katherine, I didn't know Michael would come," Parker said, sounding surprised and he pointed at Michael who was sitting among the crowd opposite our table.

"Oh yes," Katherine replied with a smile, "The Laforza holiday extends till today so he decided to come join us," She stated.

I was sitting between the both of them and they just had to raise that conversation. I moved the chair I was sitting on backward and stood up.

"Excuse me," I said and I walked away. One thing I hate so much is just randomly sitting around and doing nothing. Maybe I can find something doing in the 15 minutes left till the event begins.

I remembered I haven't eaten anything today so I decided that I should go and eat in any nearby restaurant.

The Academy's Arena has no entrance or exit. The only way to go in or go out was through a portal. For those who can't use portals properly, there are places with general portals created by personal individuals. Of course, they aren't free.

As I got out of the main area, I stretched out my hands and began to form a portal in the air. As the portal fully formed, I took a look at my wristwatch one more time and walked into the portal.

I stepped into the building of the Gemini Clan. This was the clan that Miranda belonged to when she came to Maldoria.

I had moved to Maldoria long before every other Magician did so I was in a different clan. I came to

Maldoria then to take up a teaching job at a Magical institution in South Maldoria.

I heard some years later that a particular dark Mage had committed some abominable dark magic arts that polluted Earth's magical environment and Maldoria's population increased by two times.

I greeted the Mages that passed by me with a slight nod as I made my way towards the green chamber. I was here to see some few friends of Miranda who could help me find some answers I needed.

I was about to turn into the last corridor that led to the green chamber when someone stopped me.

"You!" A Witch pointed her fingers at me and I turned around to face her, adjusting my hood.

I looked at her and recognized her as one of the Witches who came to the island and threatened to attack unless Valerie was released to them.

"You look familiar, have we met before?" She asked.

Only Miranda was known here. I hardly came to this side of Maldoria since I was always away at the

Sentient Academy of Magical Arts where I taught as a a professor.

"I.....it's likely," I said and she stared at me inquiringly.

"I come here sometimes to see my sister, Miranda Griffin," I said and she nodded in realization..

"Oh. Sorry, about your loss," she said and I nodded, watching as she walked away.

I sighed in relief. It wouldn't be good if anyone here recognizes me for helping the Hybrid escape.

They wouldn't escape to crucify me and dig Valerie's location out of my mind.

I continued walking and I spotted the golden arches doors of the Green chamber up ahead.

I opened the door of the chamber and looked inside. The chamber was made with glass walls and there were green plants climbing up the walls with blossomed flowers.

The chamber was very large and I scanned through it until my face stopped on the table with the group of people I just needed to see.

  *

I blinked and stepped out of the portal. I was on the street outside the domain of the Academy and I looked around, putting my hands in my coat.

There were restaurants in the academy, but I was pretty much sure that they would all be closed right now because of the event going on.

I looked left and right of the street, trying to remember where I can find a restaurant. I decided to go left and I slowly walked at the side of the streets. The air was magical because of the intersecting rays of the two suns.

Yesterday was Larforza and for the whole week, the suns will overlap in the day, and the moon, in the night.

There were magic powered vehicles flying around, portals opening around the corner and everything was perfectly normal.

I finally spotted a restaurant at the other side of the road and instantly, I became a spark of light, flashing to the other side of the road, and re-materializing in my normal form.

I walked to the restaurant and opened the door, walking in. The restaurant was filled up and I walked to a table, sitting down. A waiter soon came to take my order and left.

My meal soon arrived and the waiter handed a tablet like device containing my check. I placed my thumb on the screen and waited for it to completely scan.

The screen turned green as my payment was made through my bio-data. I looked as my wristwatch again as I completed my meal and I drank some more water before standing up.

I had just four minutes till the contest starts. I walked out of the restaurant and stood by the side of the street.

I stretched out my hands to create a portal when I saw another portal forming near me. I stopped and watched as the portal fully formed, with a woman covering her face with a scarf stepping out of it.
