Selena.
I blinked as I stepped out of the portal and I dragged Garr out of it. I sighed as I let go of him and the portal closed up.
I bent down and grunted as I put his left arm around my shoulder and I helped him up. I grunted again as I dropped him on the couch. I made him sit straight on the couch and I stretched out my hands to create a binding spell around the couch so he wouldn't be able to stand up.
I took off my scarf and sighed as I walked to the kitchen. I snapped my fingers and everything I needed to make a cup of coffee appeared on the counter.
I was so tired.
I mixed the coffee as I finished preparing it and I walked out of the kitchen with the mug in my hand.
I really need him to wake up quickly so I can do what I need to do, find the information about the Tribrid that I need and be on my way to complete the assignment.
I sipped the coffee as I stared at the total stranger sitting across me in the same room. I thought I was the only one who had this loneliness in the soul, but I had felt the same thing when I infiltrated his mind earlier.
He was hurting about something that happened and he was so lonely.
I dropped the mug on the table and stood up, walking towards him. I gently used my hand to push aside his hair as I studied his face. I placed my hand on his forehead and my fingers glowed in a bright scarlet color.
He moved a bit and I quickly moved backward, watching as he stirred back to consciousness.
He slowly opened his eyes and he looked disoriented for a bit before finally coming to terms with what was happening around him.
He gritted his teeth in pain and looked at the burning sigil on his right wrist. He looked around the house before finally landing his gaze on me.
He studied me for a while before sighing.
"It's you," he said and groaned in pain, "you're the one who came asking about me," he added and I nodded.
He tried to stand up, but the invisible force from the binding spell I had cast pushed him back into the couch.
He gritted his teeth and looked at the couch.
"What do you want?" He asked in annoyance.
I picked up the mug on the table and sipped a bit of the hot coffee before dropping it on the table again.
"To be happy with my family. That's all I want," I replied and he just stared at me like I was crazy.
"To be with your family? Am I supposed to know who your family are and how that is connected to you hexing and abducting me," He yelled at me and I glanced at the hex once again.
"I'm sorry about the hex, it was necessary," I said apologetically, knowing that an hex was a powerful spell that couldn't be reversed even by the one who cast it.
He'd have to find professional help quickly or else that thing would run him mad.
"Necessary for what??" He asked, gritting his teeth in pain and sweating profusely.
"To complete the assignment of the ancestors!" I yelled at him and he looked stunned.
"A.....assi.... assignment?" He asked, stuttering and looking scared. Good, looks like he might have an idea about what all this is about afterall.
"There's only one thing that the Ancestors can be after right now," he said and his lips quivered.
"Yes. The Tribrid," I completed his statement.
"What do they want?? I killed the Tribrid 8 months ago," he said, glaring at me.
"Well the ancestors do not agree and that's why you're," I said and he scoffed.
"I told you already that I killed The Tribrid myself and I'm not going to tell you anything," he retorted and I nodded.
"Fair enough, but I didn't plan to make you confess," I said and I moved closer towards him.
"All the information I need is in your mind. You should be thankful I didn't take the information I needed out when your consciousness was still drowned in your mind," I said and he chuckled between the pain he was feeling.
"You must be crazy, Mages have great mental power and we can't read each other's minds," He stated and
I smiled.
"Let's try that out shall we??" I smirked and I placed my hands on his head, closing my eyes.
I summoned all the magic in me to boost my mental energy and I could feel his mind resisting my infiltration now that he was aware and prepared for it.
He groaned in pain and shouted as I forcefully dug my way into his mind and as I expected, his mind finally gave way to my force.
"I love you Katherine."
"Garr, there's something you need to know . Michael is my Betrothed."
"Miranda, you need to tell me what happened,"
"Before Miranda died, she gave me instructions about what to do if something like this ever happened,"
"We'll clone her and put her in a deep sleep till she is ready to give birth,"
"The coffin won't open until it's time for her to give birth,"
"I'll show them the clone now."
I gasped and suddenly let go of his head upon the influx of his memories into my own mind.
"The Tribrid and his mother!" I gasped and looked at Garr who looked so scared and shocked about what I had just done.
"They are still alive," I said and he sighed in frustration. I placed my hands on my waist and walked around, thinking about what I should do.
It has been nine months already and that coffin would open at anytime for her to deliver the baby. When that happens, The Tribrid would be in flesh and would have no weakness.
I have to do something about this quickly. For the sake of Jackson and my children, I have to find them on earth and end that child's life as soon as possible.
