Chapter 179

I walked down the empty corridor trying to remember where Kaden's room was. I looked up and saw someone approaching.

He stopped as he spotted me and he stared at me.

"I remember you," he said and I sighed in relief. I didn't need a confrontation now as I need to get Karen out of here before that Witch arrives.

"Yes, I'm a friend of your Alpha. Do you know where he is?" I asked.

"Yes, he left for Lucas' wedding," he replied and I tapped my foot against the floor. If he was not here, what about Karen, had she woken up.

The members of the pack weren't informed about that plan. They all thought Karen left for a business trip.

"Okay, do you know if Karen is back?" I asked.

"Yes, she came back two days ago. They all went to the wedding," He replied and I sighed.

Great. The Witch doesn't know where they are now so I have to get to them and get us to a safe place.

  "Do you know the venue?"

  "Yes." He nodded.

"Okay. Hang on," I moved closer to him and before he could react, I placed my hands on his head. The venue's location flashed through my head as I did.

He suddenly pushed my hand away and stared at me angrily.

  "Dude, what was that?"

"Sorry, I just read your mind. You can go," I said and he shook his head in annoyance, staring at me for a while and walking away.

Okay. I need to portal myself to the wedding now.

I stretched out my hands to create a portal, but I slowly lowered my hand as I saw scarlet waves whirling in the air to form a portal.

Shit! She's here. I could remember that scarlet magic signature anywhere I go. Scarlet, Gold, and White are for powerful Magicians, or for Magicians with the potential to be powerful.

Purple, Green, and Violet or Blue were the next powerful. I had a purple magic signature.

I stepped back slowly as the portal fully formed and the Witch stepped out of the portal.

Her forehead creased into a frown as she spotted me.

"How are you here?" She asked as the portal behind her closed up.

"You didn't think I'll let you cause my family any harm, did you?" I scoffed, even though I knew that there would be nothing I would be able to do if Katherine hadn't come to rescue me.

"And you also aren't delusional enough to think that you can fight against me and win," she smirked and slowly walked towards me.

As she walked closer to me, I also began to walk back slowly.

It continued on and on with the two of us walking down the corridor before she finally stopped walking. I stopped walking too and she faced the door on the left side of the corridor.

She placed her hand on the door and it opened before she walked inside. I looked I to the room to see her searching the room for something.

She didn't find anything and she turned around to face me.

"Where's the coffin??" She asked with a cold, threatening glare.

"Sorry, you're too late. She woke up and gave birth already," I said, smirking at her. She sighed and closed her eyes briefly.

She seemed frustrated, but more importantly, scared.

Why was she scared. What was she scared of??

"You can't kill the Tribrid now," I added just to annoy her.

"I'll find him. It'll be hard, but the ancestors will find a way," She said, breathing in deeply and her expression returned to the smirk she had.

"Now, where are they??" She asked and in a blink of an eye, she was standing right before me.

She suddenly placed her hand on my head and I groaned as I tried to fight her magic trying to infiltrate my mind.

Her hand remained on my head for about a minute as I kept fighting her, but slowly, I could feel her cold magic creeping into my memory.

I gasped as she suddenly took her hands off my head.

Damn! She now knew where they were.

"A wedding-" she said softly, and there was a trace of emotion I couldn't figure out in her voice.

"It's going to be worth it," she said before walking past me, her shoulder hitting mine. She stopped in the corridor and she glanced at me one last time before stretching out her hands. They glowed in a bright scarlet color and scarlet waves flowed out of her hands, whirling around in the air to form a portal.

I have to do something. I can't let her get to them or disrupt a wedding at that. My palms subconsciously began to glow in a bright purple color and I swiftly fired a purple blast at her.

The blast hit her and sent her smashing into the wall. It also disrupted her magic and the forming portal closed up forcefully.

She grunted as she stood up on her feet and she glared at me angrily. I knew she was going to retaliate.

"How dare you!" She bellowed angrily and I watched a scarlet fire ball form on her right palm. I walked back slowly so I could get car enough to cast a spell and she suddenly tossed the fire blast at me.

"Defensritum." I chanted and a purple shield formed before me. The blast hit the thin shield and dispersed into the air. As the shield disappeared, I saw another blast heading my way, but it was too late to defend myself and it hit me in the chest, flinging me across the corridor. I groaned in pain as I landed on the hard floor and I felt my rib crack.

"Uurrgh," I groaned and rolled over to look up. Her hands were stretched out and a portal was already forming in the air.

She glanced at me and rolled her eyes before stepping into the portal.

  God No!!
