Garr.
The Witch suddenly placed her hand on my head and I groaned as I tried to fight her magic trying to infiltrate my mind.
Her hand remained on my head for about a minute as I kept fighting her, but slowly, I could feel her cold magic creeping into my memory.
I gasped as she suddenly took her hands off my head.
Damn! She now knew where they were.
"A wedding-" she said softly, and there was a trace of emotion I couldn't figure out in her voice.
"It's going to be worth it," she said before walking past me, her shoulder hitting mine. She stopped in the corridor and she glanced at me one last time before stretching out her hands. They glowed in a bright scarlet color and scarlet waves flowed out of her hands, whirling around in the air to form a portal.
I have to do something. I can't let her get to them or disrupt a wedding at that. My palms subconsciously began to glow in a bright purple color and I swiftly fired a purple blast at her.
The blast hit her and sent her smashing into the wall. It also disrupted her magic and the forming portal closed up forcefully.
She grunted as she stood up on her feet and she glared at me angrily. I knew she was going to retaliate.
"How dare you!" She bellowed angrily and I watched a scarlet fire ball form on her right palm. I walked back slowly so I could get car enough to cast a spell and she suddenly tossed the fire blast at me.
"Defensritum." I chanted and a purple shield formed before me. The blast hit the thin shield and dispersed into the air. As the shield disappeared, I saw another blast heading my way, but it was too late to defend myself and it hit me in the chest, flinging me across the corridor. I groaned in pain as I landed on the hard floor and I felt my rib crack.
"Uurrgh," I groaned and rolled over to look up. Her hands were stretched out and a portal was already forming in the air.
She glanced at me and rolled her eyes before stepping into the portal.
God No!!
I grunted as I stood up from the floor. I have to go after her and do everything I can to stop her. I stretched out my hands to create a portal, but I stopped and looked sideways to see someone approaching.
It was the same man I had seen earlier. He looked suprised to see me.
"You're still here?"
"I thought you were going to meet them at the wedding Venue or something," he said and shrugged before walking past me.
I stretched out my hands to continue creating a portal, but his voice stopped me.
"Wait."
I turned around to face him.
"Since you're a Wizard, I think you might know this, and I'm tired of looking," he said and I looked at him inquisitively.
"What?"
"Do you know what a Tribrid baby can eat and like not puke everytime??" He asked and I dropped my hand in surprise.
What??
"What'd you say your name is?" I asked, pointing at him and praying it was what I was thinking.
"Nate," he asked, looking confused.
"Nate, what Tribrid are you talking about?" I asked him.
"The Alpha's son. He was left here because he keeps crying and vomiting," Nate replied and I sighed in relief.
"Great!" I exclaimed in excitement, grabbing onto Nate's arm and shaking it excitedly.
"Dude." I suddenly let go of his arm as I realized how I had acted.
"I'm sorry, take me to the baby," I said, stepping back a bit.
He nodded and began to walk down the path he had just come from. I followed him behind and we walked out of the mansion through the exit.
The entire pack was at the back of the building. There were houses scattered around, kids playing on the streets and few trees.
If I'm right, the pack mansion should be facing the pack, not backing it. They probably had their reasons.
I kept following Nate through the street and we finally walked to the front porch of a house.
Nate opened the door and I walked in after him. I smiled as I saw a woman sitting on a chair and carrying a baby in her hands.
That must be Draco.
"Who is he?" She asked Nate, giving me a suspicious glare.
"He's....."
"I'm Karen's uncle," I replied instead, interrupting Nate. I moved out of the way as two little kids chasing after each other ran past me.
I walked into the sitting room and sat down next to the woman while looking at the baby in her hand. He was crying loudly.
"What have you given him to eat?" I asked.
"Karen gave him some baby food, but he vomited it, we tried dove blood, rabbit blood, deer blood, and so many things, but he vomited them all," she replied and I shook my head.
"Have you fed him human blood??" I asked and they both stared at me in surprise.
"But he's just a baby," She said and I sighed, shaking my head and standing up.
"A Tribrid baby," I said and faced Nate.
"Is there any human blood around??" I asked him and he nodded.
"Yes, we started keeping some in the fridge after Karen got here," he replied.
"Get it," I said and he nodded before walking out of the house. I sat down again and stared at Draco.
"Do you?-" The lady asked and stretched Draco towards me. I smiled and nodded, carrying the baby from her.
Soon, the door opened again and Nate came in, holding a bottle of blood.
"Do you have a feeder?" I asked and they nodded. The lady held out a bottle towards Nate who collected it and poured some of the blood into it.
He covered the feeder and handed it to me. I held the feeder to Draco's mouth and allowed the blood drop into his mouth. He stopped crying immediately and began to suck the blood from the feeder.
Soon, the feeder became empty and Draco was no longer crying, instead, he closed his eyes and fell asleep immediately.
I smiled and looked up. I handed him back to the lady and stood up.
"Okay, I have to go. Right now, a crazy Witch is on the hunt for the baby and she's going to attack them at the wedding," I said and stood up.
My palms began to glow in a bright purple color.
"Fortranim." I chanted and snapped my fingers.
"What did you just do?" Nate asked.
"I cast a protection spell. No one will be able to come in or go out apart from those any you invite in," I said and he nodded. I walked out of the house and sighed as I stretched out my hands to create a portal.
