Chapter 182

  Karen.

I sat down on a wooden chair outside of the hall as I watched Kaden talk to Sanctum officials. Apparently, while I was unconscious, another supernatural organization had been formed.

I just hope that they are nothing like Nexus Services.

I looked sideways and saw Lucas and Stella standing together. Stella's expression was completely blank and she rested her head on Lucas shoulder.

I felt so bad for her. Her wedding was ruined and she was not even yet married to Lucas. I didn't want to walk up to them as I didn't know what to say so I looked away. At the other side, Garr was standing alone and watching Kaden talk to Sanctum officials. I stood up and walked up towards him.

"Hi," I said and he faced me, smiling.

"So you know that Witch before?" I asked remembering what she had said after he came in a portal.

"I don't know her. She's attacked me earlier at Maldoria so she could force the information she needs out of my mind," He replied and I nodded.

"But you don't know there's a wedding holding here today," I stated..

"Yes, she went to the pack and I followed her there, so when someone told me you were here, she got the information too," He explained.

"So, let's talk about your Magic," Garr said and I smiled. It came as a surprise to me too.

Apparently, I have been an Hybrid all my life, but this was the first time I had actually been able to use magic.

"Yes, I was surprised too," I said, looking at my palms.

"Do you know why they are just manifesting??" I asked him and he looked straight up, remaining silent for a while.

"I think it has something to do with you giving birth to Draco. Miranda locked away that side of you, so it must have been triggered again," He explained and I nodded. I noticed that he looked uncomfortable and he occasionally winced almost silently that I wouldn't hear without my Vampire hearing.

"Garr, are you okay?" I asked him and he faced me again. He remained silent again, before sighing.

"Remember I said that Witch attacked me?"

  I nodded "Yes."

"Well, she hexed me," he stated and pulled up his right sleeve. I gasped as I saw a sigil engraved into his wrists. It was red in color.

"Is there no spell to like cure the hex or reverse it??" I asked and he shook his head.

"An hex is irreversible even for the one who cast it. There are some loopholes, but I'll need the help of several knowledgeable Mages," he said and I folded my arms across my chest, looking at the ugly sigil on his wrist.

"There's a lot happening now so till we know there's no threat, I'll just keep letting you do a suppression spell," he said and I nodded when an idea sudde the popped up into my head.

"Or........." He faced me, staring at me curiously. I looked around and spotted Jordan standing with Lycian by the door to the hall.

"Follow me," I said and walked towards Jordan and Lycian.

"Jordan, I need your help," I said and the two of them stopped talking facing me.

I faced Garr and gestured with my hand for him to show them the sigil on his wrists. He pulled up his right sleeve again and showed him to them.

"Damn! That looks ugly!" Jordan exclaimed, looking at the sigil on Hare's wrist.

  "What happened?" Lycian asked.

"He was hexed by that Witch so I wanted to ask if you can siphon out the magic of the hex," I said and Jordan nodded.

  "I think so."

"Wait. Siphon? What are you talking about?" Garr asked, glancing between me and Jordan with a questioning look.

"Just another one of my mom's secrets. Jordan is a Reaper," I answered as briefly as I could and Garr's forehead creased, his eyes widening and staring at Jordan in surprise.

"Let me see that," Jordan moved closer and he held on to Garr's arm. I saw Jordan's palm glow in a faint red color and nothing happened for a while until the sigil began to fade slowly.

"It's working!" First the red flesh of the sigil returned to Garr's normal tan and then the shape began to fade out till the sigil was completely gone.

Jordan finally let go of Garr's end and I noticed that he touched his head, closing his eyes for a while.

"Are you okay?" I asked Jordan and he nodded.

  "I'm fine."

He obviously looked like something had happened to him and I didn't believe him, but I forgot about it as I saw Kaden approaching.

"So, are we free to go?" I asked.

"Yes, they interrogated some of the humans guests present at the hall too and we're clear."

"They are going to track down the Witch after this," he said and I nodded in satisfaction.

I looked up to see Stella and Lucas who were standing far away from the rest of us. Stella in particular didn't look well at all. Her expression was void of emotion and she just rested her head on Lucas.

"She's going to be okay," Kaden assured as he noticed that I was looking at her.

I really hope so. When this is all over, maybe we'll reschedule the wedding. But what about all the guests who were present and our friends knowing what we are.

They know supernaturals exists, but they don't know who is who. Some of them might look at us in different ways, and some might be scared of us and don't let me get started on the metaphobics.

"What about the guests who saw everything?" I asked.

"I spoke to Darell and he said he'll take care of it. They'll remember what happened, but won't remember the part where we used our powers," Kaden replied and I nodded.

  "Okay, let's go back now."
