Chapter 186

  Karen.

The car slowly came to a halt I'm front of Raphael's house. I opened the door quickly and climbed down. I missed Draco so much already.

I wondered if Raphael's wife had found something that could make him stop crying and vomiting.

I walked up to the door and grabbed the door knob, opening the door. As I was about to walk into the house, I felt an invisible force push me back.

  "What the..."

"Sorry, I placed a protection spell on the house so no one can go in unless when invited," Garr said and walked forward. He pointed his hand at the house and they glowed in a bright purple color.

"It's down," He said and I walked in to see Nate and Lily in the sitting room. I looked around and couldn't see Draco.

"Where is he?" I asked and Lily smiled.

"He's sleeping in the other room," She replied and I sighed. Wait, sleeping!!

"Did you finally get him to eat something and stop crying?" I asked and she nodded in affirmation. Thank goodness.

"Wait, what did you give him to eat?" I asked out of sudden curiosity. I had tried literally everything my mind could think of and I found nothing.

"Human blood," Garr replied behind me and I turned around to face him, my mouth hanging open.

"Are you crazy?!" I asked and immediately closed my mouth as I realized the words that just came flying out of my mouth.

"I'm sorry," I apologized, but I was still annoyed. Basically all Vampire babies who are introduced to human blood at a young age always end up with blood lust issues.

I don't want that for Draco or allow any thing that could bring the fear of the Mages to fulfilment.

"He's going to be okay," Garr said and I shook my head.

"Are you sure about this?" Kaden asked Garr and he looked calm in a way that annoyed me.

"I am. Draco is not just a Vampire, he's also a Wizard and a Werewolf, so his body needs the maximum source of energy it can get," Garr said and I sighed.

"Whatever, I'm not going to give him that again," I said and Kaden faced me with an unreadable expression.

"I'll find something else, or better still, mix it into something else," I said before walking off into the next room.

Another portal opened and I saw a familiar woman run out of it.

  Jackson's mother.

"Jackson, Jackson," she said with fear in her tone and she looked around in disorientation.

She finally stopped looking around and she stared at me before her eyes darted to the shredded piece of Jackson's cloth I was holding.

"Where's Jackson? What happened to my son?!" She screamed and I could hear her heart rising and falling in her chest.

I sniffed as the tears kept rolling down my eyes. I couldn't contain the pain and guilt I was feeling.

"I'm.......s....... sorry," I said with my voice breaking and I sniffed.

"What? What happened to him?!" She shouted and tried to move close to me, but my dad pushed her back.

"He's......g.....gone. Jackson's dead." I said and immediately, I saw the woman stagger backward in shock before falling unconscious.

I killed Jackson and I would never forgive myself for it.

My father grabbed my hand and he pulled me up to the floor.

"Selena, we need to go now," He said as I cried. I looked at Jackson's mother who had fainted and collapsed to the floor.

She never liked me before and now she was going to hate me so much.

"Carry her, let's go," my dad said and one of the Mages stepped forward, carrying Jackson's mother up.

"Selena , let's go," My dad said and I nodded slowly following him behind and walking into the portal.

At the other side of the portal, I stepped out into the Trinity House. The house where the Master of the Coven, their families, and other top Mages live.

"Take her to the healer," My dad instructed the wizard carrying Jackson's mother and he nodded.

Everyone soon went off in different ways and I was left with my father.

"He was trying to protect me and I killed him," I sobbed, sniffing and wishing I could just turn back time and prevent all of it from happening.

"Selena, don't cry. At least it didn't happen when you were around so many people," My dad said and I suddenly flared up.

"I don't care about others. I lost the only man who loved me, my Bethrothed!" I yelled.

"Selena. I'm right here and I love you," he said and I shook my head.

"Don't you lie to me. Ever since you found out what mom did, you never looked at me the same way again!" I yelled and my dad looked stunned.

"That's not fair," he said and he sounded hurt.

"I should have forced him to go when I had the chance," I said, breaking out in tears again.

"I shouldn't have waited till he had to feel the need to protect me and our babies," I sniffed and My dad placed his hand on my shoulder, making me to face him.

"Babies?" He asked and his eyes slowly travelled to my stomach.

"Selena, are you pregnant?" He asked, looking at me curiously and I sniffed.

  "Yes."

I looked up as someone walked towards us and he bowed slightly before my dad.

"Jackson's mother is awake," the man said and my father nodded, gesturing with his hands that the man can leave.

As the man walked away, my dad faced me and he sighed.

"I need to go and see her, stay in your room till everything dies down," he said and I nodded before he walked away.

She never liked me before, now she would hate me so much for killing her only son.

I stepped out of the portal and looked around me. I was back in Washington. I have to find somewhere to stay while I device a plan to use against them.

They now have two Mages on their side, so I would have to be more tactical this time. I can't miss this opportunity. In two days, the La Forza crossing of the heavenly bodies will no longer be there and I would lose my connection to the ancestors, so I have to act quickly when I can still access their power to grant me control.

If I'm able to complete what they want me to do before then, they'll still have access to this plane and they'll be able to break my curse and bring back Jackson.

There is nothing that I dream of to happen more than that. All I want is to be with my family happily again, even if I have to kill an innocent child to get that.

I looked at both sides of the street I was standing in, trying to decide on where to go and what to do.

I decided not to waste much time anymore and go back to the pack where they live. The earlier I complete this mission, the faster I'll get my reward.

I didn't want to draw attention to myself so I walked away ftom the street and walked into a quiet alley. I stretched out my hands to create a portal when a large blue portal suddenly opened up in front of me.

I moved back a bit and watched as several uniformed men stepped out of it holding weapons that they pointed at me.

"In the name of Sanctum, you are ordered to stand down!"
