Chapter 189

  Karen.

I looked over my shoulder and the door of the opposite room opened, Lucas walking out in a grey shirt and black sweatpants.

He glanced at me and looked at Stella, walking towards her and placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Calm down Stella," he said in a soft voice, but she shook her head and shook his hand away.

"Don't tell me to calm down, I don't want to see her here!" Stella yelled angrily and Lucas put his hand on her shoulder again.

"Okay, you need to rest," Lucas said and she gently turned her around and took her into the room.

Lucas walked out of the room soon and he sighed as he closed the door. I was still standing where I was, unable to move and still trying to process what just happened.

"Karen." Lucas voice snapped me out of the state I was in and I blinked, looking at him.

"I'm sorry about what just happened, but I think you need to give her some space for now," Lucas said and I nodded.

"Right," I nodded again and gulped.

"She's stressed right now and I'm sure she didn't mean everything she just said," he added and I simply nodded.

But she said it and that thought must have been buried deep in her mind all these while.

"Okay, thank you," I said with a faint smile.

"I'll go now." I walked past him and continued walking until I heard him walk into his room and close the door. I stopped walking and sighed, leaning on the wall.

This shouldn't have happened. That witch should have waited till the wedding was over before attacking us.

I looked up as I saw Garr walk towards his room and I immediately, leaned forward and ran after him.

"Garr-" I called him and he stopped walking, turning around to face me..

"Sorry to disturb you, were you going somewhere?" I asked, but he shook his head.

  "No, I was actually-"

"Great. I wanted to ask if you had any spell books or Grimoires that you could borrow me so I can practice using my magic," I said and he nodded.

"Ah, yes, I do," he said, but he looked like there was a clause to that.

"But they are all at South Maldoria," he said and I sighed.

"If you're not busy, we can both go and get it at my office and we'll come back quickly," he said and I nodded.

"Yes, let's go that," I said and he nodded. His palms began to glow in a bright purple color and he stretched them out. Purple waves began to whirl around in the air, but then, I noticed that the waves began to move around randomly and fade in and out.

I faced Garr and he also looked surprised. He dropped his hands as they stopped glowing and he winced in pain.

  What was happening.

"What's wrong Garr?" I asked him and he winced again before pulling up his right sleeve. I gasped as I saw the same sigil that had been there yesterday on his wrist again.

It looked just like it did yesterday.

"I.....I. I thought Jordan absorbed the magic of the hex," I said, confused and wondering if he had been hexed again between that time and now.

Garr winced and stared at his wrist before looking up.

"He did," he said and I stared at him for an explanation.

"But the magic regenerated itself," he said and he began to walk. I followed him by his side and faced him so he could explain what he just said by regenerate itself.

  "How does magic regenerate itself?"

"She cast the hex with persistent magic so the magic would keep renewing itself," Garr said and I nodded.

"Jordan just has to absorb the layers of magic used to create the spell," he said and he stopped walking as we got to the training room.

I looked into see Jordan sparring with Roderigo. They stopped as they noticed us and faced us.

"Jordan, can you come real quick?" I asked and he nodded. He picked up his shirt and put it on before walking towards us.

"So, the hex is back," I said and Garr showed Jordan his wrists.

"How is that possible. I absorbed the magic of the hex," Jordan said, glancing between the both of us with an inquisitive stare.

"It's a magic that keeps regenerating itself, but it would go completely if you peel off the magical layers," Garr said. Jordan stared at us and looked reluctant for a while, but he nodded and placed his hands on Garr's right hand.

He closed his eyes as his palms glowed in a faint red color and I watched as the sigil slowly disappeared.

"Continue. Now you need to get rid of the Magic's persistence," Garr said as the sigil disappeared and Jordan kept his hands on Garr's.

"I can feel my own magic draining now, Stop," Garr said and Jordan immediately took away his hands.

He sighed and shook his head and I looked at him closely. His eyes had this same disorientation like the first time he did this.

"Ummm. I need to go," he said and before I could say anything, he zoomed away.

"Okay, let's hope that it won't come back," Garr said and I nodded, looking at the direction Jordan had just zoomed off in again before walking after Garr.

"So let's go and get the Grimoires in Maldoria," I said and he nodded. He stretched out his glowing hands and purple waves from his hand whirled around in the air to form a portal.

"Let's go," Garr said as the purple portal fully formed and I sighed before walking into the portal with my eyes closed.

It's been long since I've gone to Maldoria.
