Chapter 191

  Jordan.

I grunted as Roderigo threw a punch in my abdomen and I bent backward. I was about to retaliate when I sensed a presence at the door. Two.

I turned around to see Karen and Garr standing there and I wondered what they wanted.

I quickly put on my shirt as Karen called me and I walked up to them.

So, the hex is back," Karen said and Garr showed me his wrists. I was surprised to see the same sigil mark that I had wiped away barely 3 hours ago on his wrist again.

"How is that possible. I absorbed the magic of the hex," Jordan said, and looked at the both of them, waiting for one of them to give an explanation.

"It's a magic that keeps regenerating itself, but it would go completely if you peel off the magical layers," Garr said.

Immediately he said that, I remembered that weird feeling I had after absorbing the magic of the hex earlier. I wasn't comfortable with that feeling and it scared me, but I knew that he needed my help for this. I nodded and grabbed Garr's right hand.

I closed my eyes as I absorbed the magic and I could feel my head going blank as the magic swept through it. It was chilly and it felt dangerous and dark.

"Continue. Now you need to get rid of the Magic's persistence," Garr urged and I continued while trying to fight the strange feeling.

"I can feel my own magic draining now, Stop," Garr said, but I felt this dark urge to continue and drain every last bit of magic in his body. It scared me and I fought the urge, suddenly taking my hand away.

I shook my head and Karen was about to say something, but I quickly zoomed away. I stopped as soon as I was away from the corridor and I sighed.

I closed my eyes and touched my forehead as I made my way back to my room. I don't know what's happening to me.

The last time I absorbed the magic from Garr's hex, I felt so weird, but this time it was worse. It was like my mind was being clouded with darkness and I couldn't think straight.

'Do you know what's happening??' I thought within myself, reaching out to the Reaper.

'I can't say what it is, but all my emotions are super heightened at the moment,' he replied and I stopped walking as I reached my room. I grabbed the doorknob and I opened the door, quickly walking in and going to sit on my bed.

'i think it's the magic I absorbed from Garr's hex,' I said, closing my eyes as I could hear a loud buzzing sound in my head. My hands clutched the bedsheet and I shook my head as I could feel a strange darkness eating away at my mind.

I opened my eyes and gasped as I saw that my bed sheet was evaporating into the air in tiny particles.

I looked up as someone knocked on the door. I remained sitting on my bed as I didn't feel like I could talk to anyone at the moment.

The person knocked again and I looked up again.

"Jordan, are you there?" I heard Lycian ask from behind the door and I finally stood up to go answer the door.

I opened the door and he stared at me for a while before walking in and closing the door. .

"Are you okay?" He asked, closely observing me with concern in his eyes.

"No, I've been feeling so weird since I absorbed the magic from the hex placed on Garr," I replied and went to sit on the bed.

"Does absorbing magic always have an effect on you?" He asked and I shook my head.

"No. I usually feel stronger when I absorb magic, but this time it is different."

"It's like the magic is trying to get into my head and mess with it even when I'm constantly fighting it." I explained and shook my head.

  "That doesn't sound good."

"Come, let's see if Garr can find out what is causing this." Lycian stretched out his hand to me and I stared at it for a while before holding his hand and standing up.

We walked out of the room and I closed the door before walking next to Lycian. We stopped by Garr's room and Lycian knocked on the door, but there was no response.

I grabbed the door knob after Lycian had knocked several times and I opened the door slowly. I looked into the room and saw that no one was there. I saw he and Karen earlier.

"Let's ask Karen if she knows where he is," I said and Lycian nodded. I closed the door of his room back and we both walked to Karen's room.

Lycian attempted to knock on the door, but his fist bounced off the air before he could touch the door.

  "Ouch."

I looked at the door and tried to touch it too, but the same thing happened. She must have casted a protection spell there so she isn't inside.

My hand was still close to the door and suddenly, I felt a strange urge to absorb the magic of the door.

It was the same feeling of blood lust after long deprivation, but I wanted the magic in the spell instead.

I quickly took my hands away as I fought the urge to do so and I moved away from the door.

"She's not here, let's go," I said and turned around so I could go back to my room. I suddenly stopped as I heard the door down the corridor blast open and I quickly covered my face to avoid being hit by the pieces of wood flying the air.

  "What the hell??!"

I turned around and quickly stood in front of Lycian. I looked outside the door to see about a dozen men dressed in black and holding heavy weapons. I glanced at all of them, wondering what the hell they wanted when I spotted two faces I had seen before.

  Bloody Hell.
