Chapter 197

  Selena

I blinked as I stepped out of the portal in front of the pack mansion.

I looked around and saw that nobody saw me. This time, I had decided to use a different strategy. I have to find a way to get my hands on the Tribrid without any confrontation.

The first thing that came to my mind was a illusion to look like someone else, but If I am to do rhat, I have to make sure the real person is unavailable.

This is a pack full of Werewolves so to make anyone of them unavailable, it would also require confrontation that might draw unwanted attention.

I suddenly remembered when I was at the wedding venue. There was one person among them that was human. It was the bride.

I smiled at that. It would be so easy to use her illusion.

"Invisitum." I chanted and I immediately became invisible. I climbed up the short flight of stairs and I opened the door of the mansion slowly, afraid that someone would be there and would be suspicious to see the door open on it's own.

I peeped in and saw that no one was there and then opened the door wider and walked in. I closed the door and walked down the corridor slowly. There were several rooms around and she might be in any of them.

I need to find that human lady. If I'm right, she might be alone because of how I ruined her wedding.

Something I'm trying sorry about especially when I never got to even get wedded to Jackson before accidentally killing him.

Hoping that she would be the only human in the building, I closed my eyes, doing a magical scan to detect an human presence.

I finally sensed a sole human presence and I opened ny eyes.

  Gotcha.

I began to follow the presence and I finally stopped walking before a room. I stared at the door for a while and placed my hand on the door knob.

I tried to open the door, but the door was closed. I sighed and looked at both sides of the corridor before knocking on the door.

There was no response for a while and I knocked on the door again before someone finally came to open the door.

It was the human lady. She opened the door and because I was invisible, her eyebrows folded as she looked at both sides to check who had knocked.

Before she could close the door, I brushed past her, entering the room.

As she closed the door and walked to her bed, I snapped my fingers.

She flinched back in fear as I suddenly became visible, looking for somewhere to hide.

Standing on her bed, she glared at me as a look of recognition lit up on her face.

"You!" She yelled, pointing her fingers at me with a fierce gaze.

I looked over my shoulder, worried that someone would hear her and I sighed.

"Inaudia." I snapped my fingers, casting a spell that would prevent any sound from leaving this room.

"You're the one that ruined my wedding!" She yelled, her eyes filled with pure hatred. If she could, I'm very sure that she would burn me to ashes.

"What are you doing here?" She asked loudly and I stood where I was, unbothered.

"Sorry, I have to do this," I said and stretched out my hands towards her.

"Paraclyes," I chanted and she suddenly fell unconscious to the bed.

I walked to the bed and I placed my glowing palm on her forehead. I needed to know everything that has happened recently so I can be able to pull off acting as her.

Memories of things that happened within a few weeks flashed through my mind and I gasped, suddenly taking my hands off her head.

Wow. So she really had a fight with her best friend because i ruined her wedding. That would make it harder for me to get close to her. On the other hand, she's loose and self absorbed so I can just behave like she has shaken it off.

"Illusire Phesmato." I chanted and immediately, scarlet waves began to dance around my body. As the scarlet waves disappeared, I walked to the large mirror at her dressing table and I looked at myself.

I looked just like her. I was dressed in the same cloth she was also wearing.

I breathed in deeply and walked towards the door. I opened the door of the room and walked out. Fortunately, just as I came out, the Tribrid's mother, Karen walked by.

Just the person that I needed to see.

Our eyes met and I smiled at her, walking next to her. My reaction seemed to surprise her, but I ignored it.

"Karen, have you seen Lucas??" I asked, knowing that Stella's husband or Fiancee was Lucas. She stared at me like she was looking at an alien and I knew that she was thinking about the fight they just had less than 30 minutes ago.

"Oh, sorry, let me rephrase that," I said and stopped walking. Karen stopped walking too, looking at me.

"I'm sorry about how I acted earlier, I overreacted and I acted extremely selfish," I apologized, faking the most sincere look I could.

"It's okay," Karen replied and smiled faintly.

"It's actually my fault that Witch crashed tour wedding. If I hadn't been there she wouldn't have come," Karen stated and continued walking in the direction she was going earlier. She's actually right, but Stella didn't have to be a bitch about it.

"Lucas is in the training room, something's wrong with Jordan, his Reaper abilities absorbed the wrong kind of magic," Karen stated and I nodded. Wait, they have a Reaper?? Then, I remembered the attack at the wedding when one of them stepped forward to protect them from my fire spell.

So he's actually a Reaper, I automatically thought he was a Mage, and didn't didn't consider my instincts. I looked up and saw that she was already walking to where she was going. It'll be way easier if I'm alone with her.

"Wait!" I quickly stopped her and she stopped walking.

"Where's your baby, I've not seen you gave birth." I smiled. According to the memories I got, Stella hasn't been here since Karen woke up from the hibernation. Plus all the guilt that she left Karen out of the whole thing.

"He's in my room. He's sleeping," Karen replied and I nodded. Good. Alone in her room. They knew that his life was in danger so they wouldn't leave him all alone at this time without protection. I have to get her to take me to him herself.

"Okay. Let's go and see him," I said, pointing at her room down the corridor.

She also glanced at her room and looked at me again.

"I thought you wanted to see Lucas," She said, pointing in the direction of the training room, but I shook my head.

"I was just looking for him out of curiosity. It's nothing." I smiled. I can't let this opportunity slip. The longer this takes, the more the possibility that someone would figure out that I am not Stella. Especially when I meet Lucas. What if I have to kiss him.

I quickly hid the disgust I felt that moment.

"Oh okay, but Jordan is really affected and Garr might need my help in casting the purging spell," Karen persisted, pointing in the direction of the training room again.

I sighed internally. Can she just make this easier for me..

"Come on Karen. I just want to see him for 2 minutes and we'll go and meet the others," I I said and she stared at me for a while before nodding.

"Okay, let's go," she said and turned to face the direction of her room. Great. Now, nothing will be able to stop me from completing this mission and getting my reward.

"Celeste." Karen suddenly chanted and stretched her hands towards me. Before I could react or defend myself, an invisible force immediately hit me and it flung me to the floor. I groaned in pain, gritting my teeth as I lost my magic concentration and the magical illusion covering me slowly peeled away.

  "You!"
