Chapter 201

  Selena

"Moticus." I chanted and I instantly teleported to the border. I looked at the large board and I stretched my hands at it. A thin scarlet beam fired out of my hand and hit the edge of the board, breaking off a piece of it's edge.

I picked up the small piece of wood and snapped my fingers, teleporting back inside my house. I dropped the wood on the table and images of writings on a wall flashed in my head again.

I picked up a knife and gently cut my left palm, squeezing small drops of my blood into the wooden bowl.

I dropped the roots that appeared out of nowhere in my closet into the bowl one after the other.

"Lumiveris." I chanted and the roots dissolved into my blood, releasing white fogs that soon disappeared into the air.

I dropped in the piece of wood next and I began to chant.

"Tribite Rinonsa Viros ol' emi. Tribite Rinonsa Viros ol'emi. Tribite Rinonsa Viros ol' emi," I chanted and I felt massive power surge through my body.

The inside of the bowl began to glow brightly. I gasped as I felt all the power flow out of me into the bowl and when it stopped glowing, there was a tiny drop of a thick black liquid in the bowl.

I looked sideways as I saw a familiar purple portal open in the room.

Shit! I cursed as I saw the entire crew step out of the portal.

"Draco!" Karen gasped as she saw her baby lying on my couch and she immediately rushed forward.

"Not so fast!" I flung my hand at her, throwing her into the air and slamming her on the wall. She groaned in pain as she hit the wall and fell to the floor.

Her mate immediately moved forward to meet me, but I clenched my fist, casting a spell that'll make him unable to move.

"Why are you doing this?" Garr asked and he stepped forward.

"What did the Ancestors promise to give you and is it really worth killing an innocent child?" He asked and I gulped. I didn't know what to say and I felt so guilty. I didn't think it'll be this hard to get myself to kill the Tribrid. I didn't know it'll be this hard to do something that meant being together with my family.

Immediately, images of Jackson and me playing with our children flashed through my head. I knew it was the ancestors showing me what I stand to loose if I refuse to do what they want. If I don't do this, everything I've done so far would be a waste. All my raised hopes, all my determination, all my desperation. They would be for nothing.

I looked at the bowl on the table and picked it up, my hands fidgeting.

"Immediately this liquid touches him, he is going to die, you can't stop me," I said, showing them the bowl. I didn't know why I told them my plan, but I did. Somewhere in my subconscious, I wanted them to be able to stop me so I wouldn't blame myself for refusing to get my happiness.

They all stared at the bowl in my hand and glanced at the Tribrid baby on the couch. I knew that one of them would act and try to stop me.

"Risindia." Garr suddenly chanted and the bowl I was holding floated out of my hands.

I watched as the bowl rose into the air and floated towards Garr.

For a second, I wanted to let him have it, and loose the only way of killing the Tribrid that I had, but I remembered what I wanted and I quickly stretched out, pulling the bowl back towards me and catching it.

I walked towards the baby slowly and Jordan, Lycian, Lucas and Karen rushed towards me.

Everyone of them looked so determined to stop me from hurting the baby, but I was also doing this for my family.

"Celeste Oblit." I chanted and a wave of energy blasted all of them away. The Alpha was still frozen in place because of my spell, so there was no one who could hinder me now.

I was now standing before the Tribrid baby who was staring at me so innocently and with no idea of the harm I was about to cause him. Why did the ancestors want something so innocent dead. I heard about all the prophecies and visions, but he was only a baby and should be allowed to decide how he lives his life and the actions he takes.

I didn't want to do it, but I had to. I looked at all of them one last time, especially the mother who would feel the most devastated as she struggled to crawl towards me.

She was probably feeling the same way I felt when I heard that my babies would be raised away from me, but at least, I knew that they were safe and alive.

They were already getting closer and I knew I had to do this. I slowly turned the bowl over and the thick black liquid slowly slid down the ball before dropping.

Just as the liquid was about to touch the bay, I felt a whooshing and I gasped as Jordan stretched out his hands and the liquid touched his hand.

Immediately, Jordan froze in place and he groaned as his body began to turn grey before falling to the floor.

  "Jordan!!"

I gasped and moved backward as his whole body dried out. I knew that was the only thing I had that could kill the Tribrid, and I felt somehow relieved, but it was also sad knowing I had just killed Jordan in front of his sister and his lover.

Distracted, I didn't see the large golden blast heading my way and as it hit me, I crashed to the floor, falling unconscious.
