Chapter 204

  Garr.

I stepped out of the portal directly in front of the elevator that led to the administrative floor. The elevator opened and Katherine stepped out of the portal..

"Garr." She sounded surprised to see me here. Shit! I didn't want to meet anyone now.

"I came here to see Bastien," I said and she stared at me curiously.

"It's probably none of my business, but recently, anytime I see you, I feel like there's something big you're hiding from everyone," Katherine said and I pressed my lips into a tight line, not knowing what to say.

  "I do?"

"Yes," she nodded in affirmation, "but don't just get yourself into trouble. I have a class now. I'll see you later," she said before walking past me and I nodded. I sighed and winced in pain before walking into the elevator.

The elevator closed and took off to the administrative floor, the doors hissing open.

I quickly walked out of the elevator and I nearly bumped into someone else. I looked up and saw that it was Professor Milian. He stopped walking as he saw me and he placed his hand on my shoulder with a smile.

"Professor Garr! I haven't seen you around lately. Are you on a leave?" He asked and I smiled back faintly.

I was in pain and I didn't want to show it. I was trying to limit everything that's happening to only people who know already as much as possible.

"Something like that, I really have to go now," I said quickly and immediately walked past him before he could say anything else.

I quickly walked towards the office of the principal and I knocked on the door as I got there. Normally, I shouldn't be here unless he called me himself or if I had told him that I would be coming before.

There was no response and I knocked on the door again.

The door suddenly opened on it's own and I walked into the office, the door closing on it's own again.

"Garr." Bastien smiled as I walked into his office. He was at the corner of his office, mixing a cup of chocolate on a small table. He dropped the spoon he was using on a small glass plate and he picked up the cup.

He was a old man in his early seventies. His hair was white and long, going a little bit past his shoulder. His goatee was also long and grey in color.

"I was showed the letter you sent to the admin," Bastien said and faced me. He didn't look satisfied with how I suddenly left.

"Your leave is not until another 4 months, what's happening Garr?" Bastien replied.

"You just dropped a letter with a request without giving the reason or an explanation," he added.

I knew that I couldn't tell him the truth and while in the elevator, I cast a spell to protect my mind. People like him could easily read your mind without showing any physical struggle.

I didn't want to let anyone know about Draco since everyone believes he is dead and I knew that they would have the same opinion about the prophecies and visions.

"Something came up with my family so I asked for my leave to be moved to now," I replied and he picked up his cup of chocolate, gently sipping it and walking to his main office desk. He sat down on his chair and dropped the cup on the table, leaning into his chair and staring at me.

"So are you here to know if it was approved because you seem to have made the decision yourself when you suddenly left?" Bastien asked calmly and he intertwined his fingers on the table. I tapped my foot on the floor, not knowing what I could say and at the same time keeping myself from showing the pain I was being tortured with.

"I'm sorry," I apologized and he nodded.

"I'm here because I need your help," I said as Bastien picked up his cup of chocolate again.

"What is it?" He asked and took a sip of the chocolate.

I reached for my left sleeve and hesitated for a while before rolling up my sleeve.

Bastien looked surprised to see the sigil mark on my wrist and he immediately dropped his cup on the table.

"Garr, what did you get yourself into?" Bastien asked, raising his eyebrows for an explanation. I didn't know what to tell him exactly what happened. Do I say that I was hexed by a Witch who was sent on a crazy assignment by the dead Mage ancestors?

"I don't know who did this," I lied.

"I tried getting a Reaper to absorb the magic, but it only came back," I stated.

"It could be persistent magic and where the hell did you find a Reaper?" Bastien asked and stood up, walking away from behind his desk to come closer to me.

"It's a family on earth. He absorbed all the layers or magic forming the persistence, but it came back again," I replied and he pressed his lips into a tight line, squinting he closely observed the sigil.

He suddenly moved away and walked to a small shelf at the left side of the door. His hands glowed in a bright white color and a book from the shelf immediately flew into his hand. He walked back and placed the book on the table.

He pointed his glowing hand at the book and the book flipped open it's own, the pages flipping rapidly before suddenly stopping.

"Let me see the hand," he said and I stretched out my hand to him.

He looked at the book on the table and read the chants of the spell he wanted to cast before facing me.

"He placed his both hands over my wrists and closed his hand as he began to chant.

"Rostrum Namil Virai. Rostrum Namil Virai." He chanted and I didn't feel any change in body so he was probably trying to diagnose what was really behind the hex.

He suddenly stopped chanting and he took away his hands.

"Garr, what did you get yourself into?"
