Chapter 213

  Karen.

I sighed as we stepped out of the portal. That was one messy ride and an unstable flow of golden energy.

"Where are we?" Kaden asked and I looked around. We weren't in any house, but we were in Maldoria. I knew this because of the two suns up in the sky.

"I don't know. I'm new to all this so there must have been a mistake," I said and looked around again. I spotted a wooden board close by and I walked towards it. The edge of the board looked like it was blasted off.

"Black Sycamore Clan." I read the inscriptions carved into the board and looked up.

"We have to be close to her house, we just have to find it," I said and began to walk around randomly.

"Karen, watch out!" Kaden said and immediately, I instinctively raised up my hands, trapping a blue ball of energy between my palms.

I pressed my palms together and the ball disappeared into the air. I looked up and saw three people in the distance.

Who were the they and what did they want?? Best guess, they are here to defend wherever we are from outsiders who might be here to cause trouble.

I raised up my hands in the air for them to see and looked over my shoulder to face the others.

"Raise your hands too so they can know we're not here to cause trouble," I said and they nodded also slowly raising their hands up.

I looked at the three of them in the distance and they slowly began to walk towards us.

"What do the four of you want?" One of them asked as they were close enough to us.

"We mean no harm, we're actually came here to meet a friend. I've only been here once so the portal must have displaced us," I said and they glanced at each other.

"A friend you say and you've only been to that's friend's house once," the lady asked with a glare and I simply smiled.

"Yes, he just moved in with his fiancee," I explained with the first thing that could come to my mind.

They glanced at each other again and I sighed.

"Her house is the only one around," I added.

"Selena has a new Fiancee?" One of the men asked as if it was a strange thing for a woman to be engaged.

Was Selena is her name? I wasn't sure, but I was pretty sure I didn't see any other house around the last time we came here.

"Yes, Selena. Can you lead us to her house?" I asked and they glanced at each other.

"No." They all replied together. What??

"But we can tell you. Just keep walking North and you should spot her house," The lady said and I nodded.

"Alright, thank you," I said and they nodded before walking away.

I looked over my shoulder to face Kaden, Stella and Lucas, "Up ahead."

We continued walking straight ahead for a while until I finally spotted Selena's house far ahead with my Vampire sight.

"I can see her house," Kaden said and I nodded. We soon reached there and we walked up to the door. I tried to touch the door, but my hands bounced off it.

There was a boundary spell around the house.

"A boundary spell," I said with a sigh.

"Can you break it?" Stella asked and I shook my head.

  "No. I'm not strong enough."

"But I've been reading some of the Grimoire Garr got me and if the person who cast the spell is far enough from here, I should be able to find a weak spot," I said with a smile even though it hurt to know that Draco's life was in danger at the moment.

Kaden nodded and I began to use my glowing hands to trail the walls of the house. I kept walking and moving round the house for a while before suddenly stopping as I felt a spot with a lower magical density.

"Here," I said and twisted my neck to both sides, breathing in deeply as I prepared to hit that spot with every bit of magic I could release in one blast.

My hands glowed in a bright golden color and as I concentrated all my magic in my fists, the bright golden color slowly turned to a deeper red-brown color.

I immediately released a large blast from my hand and as it hit the wall, it reflected some waves that nearly made me loose balance.

"Are you okay?" Lucas asked Stella as he grabbed her hand to prevent her from falling and she nodded. The walls of the house were shaking and bricks were slowly falling to the floor.

I breathed in deeply again and pointed my glowing fists at the wall before shooting another blast at it.

That was all it took and I watched as the wall came crumbling to the floor. As the walls fell, I saw Garr and Selena standing right behind it with surprised looks.

  Selena!

I raised up my hands that were still glowing immediately and I fired a blast at her. The blast hit her on the chest and it immediately flung her across the room. She landed on the floor on her back and I immediately stormed towards her.

"You! You took my brother from me!" I yelled and I bent down, grabbing her by the neck and lifting her up.

"Karen, stop." I heard Garr say behind me, but I ignored him and smacked Selena against the wall.

"And then you went on to abduct Garr!" My fists glowed and I was about to hit her in the face when I was stopped.

"Karen, stop!" I felt a force tug at my elbow and pull me back. I let go of Selena as the force pulled me back and I turned around to face Garr whose palm were glowing in a bright purple color.
