Karen.
I breathed in deeply again and pointed my glowing fists at the wall before shooting another blast at it.
That was all it took and I watched as the wall came crumbling to the floor. As the walls fell, I saw Garr and Selena standing right behind it with surprised looks.
Selena!
I raised up my hands that were still glowing immediately and I fired a blast at her. The blast hit her on the chest and it immediately flung her across the room. She landed on the floor on her back and I immediately stormed towards her.
“You! You took my brother from me!” I yelled and I bent down, grabbing her by the neck and lifting her up.
“Karen, stop.” I heard Garr say behind me, but I ignored him and smacked Selena against the wall.
“And then you went on to abduct Garr!” My fists glowed and I was about to hit her in the face when I was stopped.
“Karen, stop!” I felt a force tug at my elbow and pull me back. I let go of Selena as the force pulled me back and I turned around to face Garr whose palm were glowing in a bright purple color.
“She didn’t abduct me, I came here myself and a man called Mor trapped us here!” Garr said quickly and I slowly unclenched my fists.
“You’ve met Mor?” Lucas asked and Garr nodded.
“Yes, he trapped the both of us here and left,” Garr replied and I sighed.
“He attacked us and successfully abducted Draco,” I said bitterly and shook my head when I remembered something.
“Why were you here with her? Why did you come to see her?” I asked..
“I came to warn her about the ancestors,” Garr said and I was confused.
“Who is Mor?” I asked.
“He’s one of the ancestors that was brought back to life,” Garr replied making me to gasp in surprise. What??
“How did that happen?!”
“They promised Selena they’ll bring back her husband, but instead, they put another soul in his body,” Garr explained and I faced Selena in anger.
“It’s always you who has been causing us trouble!” I yelled although I was surprised that she didn’t retaliate or defend herself the whole time.
“Karen,” Kaden placed his hand on my shoulder and pulled me back.
“I can’t calm down if I keep seeing the face of the person who killed Jordan so she needs to leave here,” I said and then realized that we were actually standing in her house.
“You’re in my house,” she finally talked for the first time since we got here.
“Yeah. I figured,” I nodded with a glare.
“Karen, right now we need to find a way to find Draco,” Kaden said and I breathed so I could calm the tension built up inside of me.
“Yes, and if we are going to do that quickly we need Selena’s help,” Garr said.
“Her help?”
“My help?”
“Yes, Mor confirmed that they had used you as an anchor to this plane this whole time so we can track his magic signature through you,” Garr said, looking at Selena the entire time he talked.
“That might work,” Selena said and I gave up with a sigh, rolling my eyes.
“What do we do?” I asked.
“Hungh, I need my Grimoires,” Garr scrunched up his nose and faced Selena.
“Do you have Grimoires about Magic Signature?” Garr asked her and I rolled my eyes again.
“I’m not a teacher, why ask me?” Selena replied.
“Right.” I rolled my eyes a third time.
“You could have asked me for yours,” I said with a smug smile and I stretched out my palm, a Grimoire appearing on it..
“You learnt the space spell,” Garr said..
“Yeah. I did.” I nodded.
I handed him the Grimoire and he began to flip through the pages.
He soon stopped and briefly read through a page before looking up.
“Found it.” He said and he dropped the Grimoire on a table.
“Selena, I’ll need your help with the spell,” Garr said, facing Selena
“Or I can just help you.”
Garr faced me, glanced at Selena, and faced me again.
“I’m going to be tracking the magic signature through her, so she has to be the one I’m channeling,” Garr said and I nodded.
Selena walked towards Garr and I sighed, going to sit on a couch.
Garr held both of Selena’s hands and their hands began to glow.
They looked at the Grimoire before closing their eyes and they began to chant.
They continued chanting for a while and the scarlet and purple glow of Selena and Garr mixed to form a scary black glow.
They both raised their heads up and I could see that they were both struggling.
“What’s happening?” I asked and stood up, walking closer to the both of them. The two of them suddenly let go of each other with a gasp and I looked at a dark mist form in the air.
The mist moved violently for a while before suddenly spreading out into a thin black layer in the air.
“Hello.” Mor’s face was showing in the black layer in the air and he was smiling mischievously.
“I see that you’re trying to track me, but there’s no need to trouble yourselves,” he said and smirked.
“Where’s Draco?!” I yelled loudly and dashed forward, throwing a punch at his face. My hand passed through the mist and as I pulled my hand back, the mist spread out again to reveal his face.
“Don’t worry, he’s completely safe given that you follow my instructions,” Mor threatened.
“What do you want?” Kaden asked in a thick, coarse voice.
“Simple,” Mor replied and smiled.
“I’m at the South Cemetery. Don’t come here without a vial of Karen’s blood. That’s all I need,” he said. A vial of my blood??
“Wh-“ The dark layer compressed into a mist again and disappeared before I could ask my question.
“Why does he want my blood?”
