Chapter 215

  Three Years From Now.

  Karen.

I panted as I jumped out of the portal. I bent down instinctively, an sharp icicle that fired out of the portal passing over my head. I turned around immediately and I snapped my fingers, closing the portal before anything else could come through.

I sighed and looked around. Okay. I know where I am. I need to call Raphael, but I left my phone in my car.

I looked up and saw a phone booth near a gas station nearby and I walked towards it with my palms rested on my waist.

How the hell were they here? I thought we took care of them so how are alive and walking. If they were back then they would definitely want to continue their original mission. I have to do something about it. I finally got to the phone booth and I walked in.

  I need a coin.

I sighed, realizing that I didn't have any money on me since I left my purse in my car. I looked around and saw a man walking three dogs pass by me.

I got out of the phone booth and I walked towards the man.

"Hi," I said and the man looked sideways to face me. He was a blonde that looked like he was in his late fifties.

"Sorry, but I need your help," I said with a smile. I moved back a bit as the dogs began to bark loudly at me. They could obviously sense what I was.

"Yes, how?" He asked with a bit of inpatience in his voice.

"I really need to make a call and I don't have only paper notes," I said, pointing at the phone booth in the distance.

"Oh." He said and he looked at his pocket before looking up again and he stretched out one of the dog leashes to me. The dog began to bark even louder, wagging it's tail at me.

The man looked at the dogs with a faint smile and he faced me again, suspicion flickering in his eyes for a split second.

I took the leash from him and he used his free hand to reach into his pocket. He took out a penny and he handed it to me with a smile.

"Thanks," I took the coin from him and handed the dog leash back to him.

"You're welcome," he said and I nodded before walking back to the phone booth. I put the penny in and hurriedly dialed Raphael's number.

The line rang for a while and he picked up the call.

"Raphael, it's me Karen," I said quickly.

"What happened. What number is this?" He asked and I gulped.

"I'll explain later, Raphael, you need to go two things quickly and it is super important," I said in one breath.

  "Okay?"

"Yes, First, get Lily and your kids to leave the pack immediately and go somewhere safe," I said and there was silence on the line for a while.

"What?! Why?!" Raphael sounded so surprised.

"I'll explain later. Do that and get into a car with Draco. I'll open a portal in the forest path and you need to drive into it," I said and he remained silent for a while again.

"Alright. I'll see you in 10 minutes."

  ***

I stretched out my hands and continued to make the golden portal that was forming in the air larger and larger. The portal was fully formed, but I continued building the portal till it was mature so I could see the other end of the portal.

That was the normal way of creating a portal, but it takes too much energy so Mages like cutting it short.

I could see a car driving towards the forest path at the other end of the portal and as the car got closer, I moved out of the way.

Finally, I watched as the car drove out of the portal and as it was completely out, I dropped my hands and the portal closed.

The car stopped moving and I looked at the window at the front roll down.

I quickly walked towards the car and I looked in too see Draco sitting at the back.

"Mom," Draco called me in excitement and I smiled at him.

I opened the door of the backseat and I climbed in, sitting next to Draco.

"Hey," I leaned towards Draco with a smile and I kissed him on the forehead.

"How are you?" I asked and he smiled.

  "Fine."

"Aunt Lily bought me a new Superfriend Batmobile," Draco said excitedly.

"What happened to the one that I bought for you?" I asked and Draco grinned widely, looking away.

"He burnt it with a fire spell," Raphael replied and Draco immediately covered his face with his palms.

"It was a mistake. I didn't do it on purpose," Draco said with his voice sounding muffled because of his palms.

"But you took off your power dampening wristwatch," I said and took his palms off his face.

"James and Louis were doing a speed race and I wanted to join them so I took it off to use my speed," Draco said quickly and he pouted.

"Alright." I sighed. I looked out of the window and I saw a red spark in the air.

"Raphael, drive now!" I shouted loudly and Raphael immediately started the car engine, driving off.

I looked back to make sure that we weren't being followed and I leaned into the chair, sighing..

"I was supposed to have a meeting with other Alphas of Washington Packs so do you mind telling me what happened?" Raphael asked..

"It's the Five. They're back," I said and Raphael turned around to face me with a shocked expression.

  "What?? How?!" He asked.

"I don't know, but they attacked me earlier."

"Oh My God! We need to warn Stella and Lucas," Raphael said and I nodded.

"That's not the only shocking thing I've discovered today," I said, remembering my encounter with Kaden earlier.

  "What else?" Raphael asked.

  "I saw Kaden, He's Alive."
