Chapter 216

  Karen

"What's happening?" I asked and stood up, walking closer to the Garr and Selena. The two of them suddenly let go of each other with a gasp and I looked at a dark mist form in the air.

The mist moved violently for a while before suddenly spreading out into a thin black layer in the air.

"Hello." Mor's face was showing in the black layer in the air and he was smiling mischievously.

"I see that you're trying to track me, but there's no need to trouble yourselves," he said and smirked.

"Where's Draco?!" I yelled loudly and dashed forward, throwing a punch at his face. My hand passed through the mist and as I pulled my hand back, the mist spread out again to reveal his face.

"Don't worry, he's completely safe given that you follow my instructions," Mor threatened.

"What do you want?" Kaden asked in a thick, coarse voice.

  "Simple," Mor replied and smiled.

"I'm at the South Cemetery. Don't come here without a vial of Karen's blood. That's all I need," he said. A vial of my blood??

"Wh-" The dark layer compressed into a mist again and disappeared before I could ask my question.

"Why does he want my blood?" I asked confused.

"Who knows?" Garr shrugged and I sighed.

"Where's the South Cemetery? He's with Draco and we have to go."

"It's not far from here. It's one of the Cemeteries where the dead bodies of Mages are interred," Selena replied.

"Then we need to go and get Draco from him."

"He's going to see us coming and if we are not coming with what he wants, he'll just leave again," Garr said.

"All he wants is a vial of my blood," Stella said and I nodded.

"Yes, we can give it to him and get Draco back," I added.

"No. We don't know what he wants your blood for and whatever it is, it can't be a good thing." Garr shook his head.

"But that's the only option we have and he threatened to hurt Draco," Kaden said and I nodded.

"Draco can't be hurt physically. He would have to kill him and he knows that if he does that, he won't be able to get what he wants," Garr argued again and I sighed.

"I can't just watch and do nothing. We have to do this," I persisted and Garr nodded.

His hands glowed and as it dimmed, there was a small glass vial and a silver dagger in his hand. He stretched out his hand to me and I took the dagger and vial from him. I handed the vial to Kaden and I winced as I pierced the tip of my finger with the dagger. Kaden opened the vial and I placed my finger over it, squeezing my blood into it.

The blood stopped before the vial could get filled with blood halfway and I looked at my finger to see that it had healed up. I cut my finger deeper this time and I winced as I squeezed my blood into the vial. Just as the vial was filled up, my finger healed up. Kaden closed the vial and my palms glowed, the dagger disappearing

"Since you know where the Cemetery is, can you open a portal?" I asked Selena and she nodded. He hands began to glow and she stretched them out, scarlet waves whirling around in the air.

The portal soon fully formed and I walked towards it.

"Aren't you coming??" Garr asked Selena and I stopped walking, turning around.

"I'm not affected, why should I come?" Selena asked.

  "Yes, why?" I asked too.

"You're anchored to the ancestors and we may need your help, plus don't you want to get the body of your husband back?" Garr asked and Selena nodded.

I muttered a curse beneath my breath and rolled my eyes before walking into the portal.

I gasped and jerked up. I panted heavily and saw that I was lying on a bed in a room in the same dark room as before, but I was not the only one here this time.

There were Witches and a few Wizards standing at the corners of the room.

I thought Witches couldn't practice magic here again.

There were candles surrounding the bed I was lying on and all of these Magicians were all quietly chanting magical words I didn't understand.

Magicians didn't usually do all of these: candles and chants. They just had to cast a spell by thinking of it and throwing their hands.

Why all this traditional things and why was I abducted.

I was not restricted to the bed by chains so I tried to climb down from the bed and I groaned as an invisible force held me in place.

I grunted and gave up, lying on the bed and breathing heavily. I tried again and groaned as I tried to stand up, but the invisible force held on to me.

I saw a Witch come forward and look at me, specifically, at my stomach.

She was a middle ages woman with a long red hair and bright blue eyes.

She grabbed a candle and rotated it over my stomach, chanting silently.

"What am I doing here? Why did you abduct me?!" I shouted, hoping that someone would just give me answers so I can know what I put myself into.

The Witch looked at my face and remained silent for a while.

"You're not here because of you, you're here because of the baby in your womb," she replied and I mouthed a surprised, "what?"

I looked at my stomach and glanced back at the Witch. She gave me a affirmative nod and I left my mouth open in surprise.

My mom also talked about my child in the dream. Oh My God. I'm pregnant.

Wait. Then what the hell did they want with my baby.

"What do you want with my baby?" I asked, gritting my teeth.

"You don't know what your child is," the Witch said and I stared at her curiously.

"Your child is dangerous and he will be the end of us all," the Witch said and I scoffed.

Was she crazy? He was just an unborn child!

"I don't know what vision or prophecy you got, but you can't point fingers at an unborn child," I hollered at them.

"And he will remain that way. He will die in your womb," The Witch replied and I gritted my teeth. I groaned as I struggled to get up again and I became more violent this time, throwing my legs and arms.

"Be still," the Witch said and I gasped as I forcefully calmed down against my wish.

"We won't allow an imbalance. We won't let you bring that abomination into this world."
