CHAPTER 224

  Karen

I couldn't think of any where we could go that the Five would you look for us at.

"I'm really confused right now because there's the Five already probably have access to our minds so they would be able to predict anywhere we go to," Garr said and I nodded in support, "It might take a while, but they will eventually find us." He added.

"Well, what do you want us to do?" Lucas asked.

"If we decide on where to go then that means it is somewhere that we already know of before so how do we leave here and where do we hide?" He asked again.

He was right. If those bastards really had access to our mind and everywhere we know of, then I could bet that they would patiently visit all of those places one after the other until they find us.

"Plus a portal will only take us to a place that we know," Selena added and that instant I immediately had an idea.

"Unless we actually want it to take us to a place we don't know," I said softly and glanced at Garr who seemed to have already understood what I meant.

It was a very spell that Garr used to defeat Selena when she first attacked us during Stella's wedding.

"Yes," Garr said, nodding in agreement.

"We can open a random portal." He added..

"Alright, I'll open it," I said and my hands began to glow in a bright golden color.

I stretched out my hands into the air and chanted, "Celeste Oblicus.". Golden waves flowed out of my hand into the air and began to whirl rapidly in the air.

The portal continued growing bigger and bigger before suddenly pulling all of us in rapidly.

  **"

I stirred out of sleep and opened my eyes slowly. I looked around and I saw that I was lying on a bed in a cold dark room. I sat up on the bed and looked around I'm confusion.

I climbed down from the bed and as soon as my feets touched the ground, the room I was in faded into a large, open meadow.

The sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky.

The smell of freshly cut grass drifted across the meadow with the clippings scattered over the turf. The branches of the giant oak tree swayed to and fro in the wind, shaking the leaves, so they fell like raindrops, their green color fading and replaced by patches of brown.

The meadow was spacious, with a collection of trees and bushes guarding the perimeter.

I noticed a swift movement behind me and I quickly turned around, but there was no one there.

I felt a shiver in my skin as fear crawled beneath it and I folded my arms against each other, rubbing it.

Where was I and what the hell was happening? How did I get here?

"Karen." I heard a voice call me and I turned around. There was a bright blinding blue light up ahead and I raised my hands to my eyes to protect my eyes from the bright light.

I slowly walked towards it out of curiosity and the light slowly dimmed, revealing a figure.

"Mom," I muttered as I saw my mom appear out of the light. What's happening here? My mom was dead.

"Karen," she said, walking towards me with a light smile.

"H...How........ how are you here?" I asked out of curiosity. I don't understand what was happening and that curiosity and feeling of ignorance was taking the place of the happiness I should be feeling right now for seeing my mom.

"Karen, don't forget what I told you," she said and I tucked a strand of my hair that blocked my face behind my hair.

I still remembered what she told me when she was dying. She wanted me to find a man called Magnus.

"Yes mom," I affirmed with a nod.

"But I need an explanation. Who is Magnus? Why do you want me to find him? And wherr can I find him?" I asked, hoping that she'd give me the answers to my questions.

"And where am I?" I asked, taking a look around and rubbed my arms together. I couldn't help the eerie feeling and fear crawling beneath my skin.

"You can find Magnus on Earth of the second plane," she said and I stared at her with wide open eyes.

  Plane? Earth? Another Earth?

  "Mom-"

She interrupted me and held my hand, "and Karen, you need to protect your child. You need to protect Draco," she said with pleading eyes.

  My child? Draco?

I saw a dep fog appear behind her with the bright blue light shining from within it.

"Mom, what are you saying? I don't-"

She interrupted me again, "Karen you are a-"

Suddenly the fog began to pull her towards it and I held on to her hand.

"Mom. Mom!" I shouted as she pushed my hand away and let herself get sucked into the fog.

I looked up as dark and heavy clouds filled the sky, covering the sun completely.

A huge gust of wind began to form and slowly accumulated into a tornado.

I began to move backward as the tornado headed my way. I tried to run with my Vampire speed, but I didn't have my powers.

I covered my face with my palm as the tornado whirled at me.

  ***

I grunted as the portals suddenly spat me out, throwing me to the floor.

I slowly stood up on my feet, dusting off the sand on my hand. I instinctively bent down as a blue ray of light flashed towards me and it's passed over my head by an inch.

I looked around surprised to see what was happening all around. There were humans running helter-skelter on the streets, looking for safety as Mages dressed in black robes flew around in the air, firing random spells at humans and at buildings.

I glanced at everyone else and they all looked equally surprised to see what was happening.

  "Where the hell are we?"
