CHAPTER 229

  Karen.

"Since none of us knows what could have caused the Paradox I think I have to call Magnus," the older Witch said and immediately I heard that name a memory flashed in my head.

"Ma....ma. Magnus... You have.... to find him," my mom's voice came out in what sounded almost as a whisper.

"You can find Magnus on Earth of the second plane," she said and I stared at her with wide open eyes.

"Magnus-" I muttered softly and everyone faced me.

That was the name of the man that my mum kept telling me to find and she also mentioned that I would find him on the Earth or the difference plane.

Those were our last words to me and if she could have tried to tell me to find a man out of all the things you could have said to me while dying then that means it was important. Even after dying she appeared to me in a vision when those group of Witches abducted me the first time.

"I think I know what could have caused the Paradox," I said and they all stared at me inquisitively.

"I am not entirely sure but I think it has something to do with that man called Magnus," I explained and they all looked confused.

"Before my mom died, she kept asking me to find a man called Magnus from the earth of the second plane," I explained and they still looked confused.

  "She did? Why?" Garr asked.

"I don't really know but she mentioned something about him being my destiny," I replied knowing that what I just said sounded weird.

"Well, that isn't weird at all," The Vampire said, pressing his lips into a tight line and leaning on the wall.

"And for the past 3 days, all my portal memories I've been that of my mom telling me to find him," I added.

"Alright. We have to find Magnus. Elena come with me, Eren will stay with them," the older Witch said and Elena nodded.

I began to hear a loud ripping sound in the air and I looked over my shoulder to see golden sparks in the air.

I turned around and move backwards slowly as the spark grew larger and larger. All of a sudden the spark exploded into golden waves that whirled around rapidly to form a portal.

As the portal fully-formed, I watched as a man stepped out of the portal. He was wearing a long scarlet robe and his eyes were a bright angelic golden color.

He ooked at everyone in the room and he shook his head.

"Magnus-" the older Witch called him and I looked at him closely. I could sense the power exuding off him. Although I could not sense as much power as I sensed from Elena, I had a feeling that he had a more perfect control over it.

The man that my mom had been talking about was standing right in front of me and I wasn't sure what to think. The part about him being my destiny was what freaked me out the most.

Could the two of us possibly be connected? Well, for starters, we have the same magical signature.

"What did you do this time?" He asked facing Elena.

"How could you have created a reality paradox?" He asked and he shook his head too.

"We didn't create the reality paradox, they did," Elena retorted quickly.

"Wait you remember the real events?" Elena asked.

"I didn't remember initially until I traveled to another plane and all the memories came flooding back," he replied.

"When I found out about the reality paradox, I came back to this plane and I tracked the source here," He added.

"So who are they?" He asked facing me and the others.

"They said that a random portal from a different plane brought them here when they were being chased," Eren replied and he nodded.

He faced the older Witch and asked, "Linda have you been able to find the cause of the Paradox?"

"We are not certain but I think it has something to do with you and......"

  "Karen."

He faced me reason is eyebrows and I nodded.

"Yes the portal memory I had before we got there was that of my dead mom telling me to find you," I affirmed.

"And that's not the weirdest part," Eren said and I rolled my eyes.

"She said that her mom told her you are at destiny," Eren said and I expected Magnus to act shocked and freak out.

Inspect, he stared at me for an awkwardly long time and then nodded, "I know."

"What?" I and at least two other voices in the room exclaimed.

"Your mother is right but it is not yet time," he stated.

"Right now we have to find a way to reverse the Paradox before it solidifies and becomes permanent," he said.

  "Becomes permanent?!" Eren asked.

"Yes after a while, the paradox will slowly solidify into existence and it will become permanent," he confirmed.

"How long do we have?" Linda asked.

"I'm not sure but we have to find a solution within the hour."

"But you can't reverse it without knowing the exact cause of the Paradox," Linda said and I glanced at all of them faces one after the other.

They were all afraid for the fate of their world.

"There could be two reasons," Magnus said and every eyes in the room was on him.

"It could be that the random portal was wrongly opened and it cost some sort of magical interference," he said and then I realized that I was the one who opened it. It was also my first time opening a random portal so I could have wrongly opened it as he said.

"It could also be that the Paradox was created because it wanted to bring me and you together."

I began to think about what he said. He had a point. All the flashes and portal memories could be signs that I was supposed to meet him soon so the paradox was supposed to make us find each other in this large world.

"If the latter is the case then I think the Paradox will be reversed if they go back to their world," he said.

"Does that mean that we can go now?" Kaden asked.

"It's a possibility, but yes you can go," Magnus replied.

"If you go and the Paradox is not reversed we will just track your portal so we can call you back," he stated and I nodded.

I hope so. Although this place allowed us to breath for a short while we still had to go back and face The Five.

The earlier that happens, the earlier we find the way to defeat them.

"Alright," Garr stood up and his hands began to blow in a bright purple color.

He stretched out his eyes and purple waves began to whirl around in the air to form a portal.

"Let's go," he said as the portal fully formed. Lucas and Stella walked into the portal first and Selena followed after.

I was about to walk into the portal but I stopped and I turned around to face Magnus.

He smiled lightly and he nodded, "Go, we'll meet again when the time is right."

I nodded and I walked with Kaden into the portal.
