Karen.
There was total silence in the jet as we flew to Lycian's island. I glanced at him and he also happened to face me at the same time. Our eyes met and I looked away.
We explained everything that happened to him and how Lucas had told us to come here. He didn't look happy to hear that Lucas was left behind. I also felt bad about this.
Lucas and every other member of the Moon Edge Pack were not supposed to be going through this. It was all my fault. They probably had nothing to worry about and all lived peacefully until I came into the picture.
I looked out the window and saw that the jet was descending. The small looking island slowly got bigger and bigger as we flew lower to the ground. The jet finally landed on the ground and after a while, the door was opened.
I faced Stella and watched Kaden help her out. As I climbed down, I saw two men walk towards us. Lycian walked towards them and he nodded at them as they greeted him.
"She's injured, you to carry her to the med bay," Lycian instructed and they nodded as he walked past them. They walked towards us and they paused for a while to look at me before past me and going to take Stella from Kaden.
Of course, I was a Vampire and all the hate would repeat itself. Maybe I was just being paranoid though, those men only looked surprise, I didn't see any hate in their eyes.
They walked past me carrying Stella and I felt Kaden place place his hand on my shoulder. I looked sideway at him and he gave me a reassuring smile before we both followed them. The island was beautiful and there were beautiful trees among all the modern houses.
Three were two cars parked a distance away from the jet and the men carrying Stella put her in one of the cars before driving away. Kaden and I joined Lycian in the second car and the driver started the car, driving the car.
In about 10 minutes, the car came to a halt and Kaden opened the door, climbing down. I did the same and look at the mansion before me. It was as big as the one back at the Moon Edge Pack, but the architecture was way better.
I looked at the car Stella was in drive towards the building next to the mansion and stop.
"She'll be fine," Lycian said and I faced him.
"I'll have someone take you to your rooms so you can rest," He continued and I nodded. It was early in the morning already and the sun was just coming out of the clouds. I took one last glance at the side and the men helped Stella into the building before I walked into the mansion.
As we walked in, a man walked towards us and greeted Lycian with a nod, "Welcome Mr. Hale."
"Thank you. Alfred, these are my guests and I want you to show them to their room," Lycian said and Alfred nodded, stepping aside for Lycian to walk by.
"Welcome, I'm Alfred."

I blinked as I stepped out of the portal. I looked around and saw that we were standing before a large body of water.
"Where are we?" Stella asked.
I looked around again trying to recognize where we were because the place looked familiar.
"Where did your portal bring us to?" I asked Garr as I remember that you should know he destination since we open the portal.
"We traveled through planes, the portal wasn't focused defined. It was something similar to a random portal," Garr replied and I nodded.
I crossed my arms over my chest and faced Lucas who sighed loudly.
"I know where we are," he said and I stared at him curiously.
"We are near the San Juan Island close to Lycian's pack," Lucas said and I nodded as I now remembered this place.
We always passed this see whenever we were flying in the jet to Lycian's Island.
After Jordan died, Lycian left to continue overseeing his company and pack. He was so heartbroken and dejected.
It feels painful to remember Jordan's death again and I glanced at Selena remember that she was responsible for it.
I decided not to think of it and I pushed away the thought. Lycian's pack was not far from here..
We couldn't be here too. The Five definitely knew of our connection to him and they would check the area.
"Then we have to leave here as soon as possible," Kaden said the exact thoughts on my mind.
"I don't want us to attract unnecessary trouble and attacks to any of our loved ones," he added.
"Well, then there would be no way for us to go, because the ancestors to track us wherever we go to and it would affect everyone around us," Garr stated.
"And I don't think we can risk opening another random portal after what just happened," he added and it's made me to remember where we just came from.
They should have seen the results of the test and if the Paradox wasn't reversed, then they should be here at any moment.
"Well, we need somewhere we can go for the meantime so we can think properly and figure out how to defeat The Five," Selena said, resting her right hand on her waist.
"A random portal is only available solution and it is risky. Anywhere else we go to, they would be able to find within a short time. We have already stayed too long here." Garr sighed and he stared at the body of water.
"We need to go somewhere The Five cannot find us without using a random portal," Garr said and I immediately got an idea the instant he said that.
"Yes, we can do that. I have an idea."
