CHAPTER 231

  Karen

"I don't want us to attract unnecessary trouble and attacks to any of our loved ones," Kaden said and I nodded in support.

"Well, then there would be no way for us to go, because the ancestors to track us wherever we go to and it would affect everyone around us," Garr stated.

"And I don't think we can risk opening another random portal after what just happened," he added and it's made me to remember where we just came from.

They should have seen the results of the test and if the Paradox wasn't reversed, then they should be here at any moment.

"Well, we need somewhere we can go for the meantime so we can think properly and figure out how to defeat The Five," Selena said, resting her right hand on her waist.

"A random portal is only available solution and it is risky. Anywhere else we go to, they would be able to find within a short time. We have already stayed too long here." Garr sighed and he stared at the body of water.

"We need to go somewhere The Five cannot find us without using a random portal," Garr said and I immediately got an idea the instant he said that.

"Yes, we can do that. I have an idea," I said and they all faced me. It was a spell I remember seeing one of the Grimoires Garr gave to me.

"We can create somewhere that we can access alone, somewhere the ancestors will not be able to reach," I said, hoping to see if Garr or Selena would understand me.

"A Chamber Chetum," Garr and Selena said at the same time.

"What is that?" Stella asked, looking confused.

"It's like some sort of parallel space magically created," I explained in the simplest way I could explain.

"And it is safe because no one can call me without the permission of the person who created it, no matter how powerful the person is," Garr added.

"Then let's do it quickly," Kaden said.

Garr's hands began to glow in a bright purple color and he stretched out his hands.

"Chamber Chetum," he chanted and immediately I watched as our surrounding slowly changed standing in a different place.

I looked around us and saw that we were standing on a bridge.

The bridge connected to different areas of land filled with grasses and small trees.

I looked below the bridge and saw that far beneath it was a rocky ground that was bright red in color.

"You could have made it a much nicer place," Selena said and I nodded in support.

He should have created somewhere we can stay probably a house or even a castle

"I was not thinking clearly when I cast the spell," Garr said.

"I'll clear it and create another one now." Is and began to glow again.

All of a sudden I began to hear a loud ripping sound behind us.

I turned around and I saw red sparks forming in the air. The sparks slowly formed thin lines through the air as if it was going to rip the air apart.

I moved back slowly praying in my mind that it wasn't who I was thinking of.

The thin line in the air gradually began to widen as I saw a space form in the air. The space grew wider and wider until I see the other side and my heart began to race as I saw Mor's face appear.

He was grinning widely and as the space became even larger I saw the other four behind him.

I thought this place was supposed to be protected! How the hell were they able to get in!

The five of them walked in through the space and as soon as they were all standing on the bridge with us, the space closed back up.

"Next time if you are going to run from us make sure that you don't go with someone we are anchored to," Mor said with a smirk and I looked over my shoulder to face Selena.

"We are one with her so giving her permission is equivalent to giving us permission to be here," he added.

I glanced at Kaden who was carrying Draco.

I couldn't let them get their hands on my baby again.

"Run!" I yelled and we all began to run immediately. Lucas picked up Stella from the ground and a run at wolf speed with her.

Garr and Stella floated close to the ground with magically enhanced speed while Kaden ran with Draco at Wolf speed.

"You have to clear the Chamber Chetum so we can create a portal to escape!" I said and Garr's hands began to glow.

All of a sudden, I felt something wheeze past me and the sharp icicle hit Garr in the arm.

He groaned and dropped to the ground immediately. He was the only one who could clear the chamber since they created it so they wanted to stop him.

Another Icicle wheezed past me again and hit Garr at the back of his left leg. He groaned loudly again and he fell on his knees.

I stopped running immediately and I went to him bending down and pulling the icicle out of his leg, a loud cry leaving his mouth.

My hands glowed in a bright golden colour and I placed them on his leg as I cast a quick healing spell. I pulled him up to his feet again and the two of us continued running..

I looked over my shoulder so that none of them were even running after us.

Mor scoffed and he faced the lady standing beside him.

  "Nylah now!"

Immediately she stretched out her hands that were radiating a black glow.

I felt her magic going to fill the air and I continued running knowing that whatever spell she wanted to cast couldn't be good.

I looked at Garr and he kept trying to cast a spell to clear the Chamber, but the glow on his hands kept going on and off.

There must have been something else in those icicles that hit him.
