CHAPTER 235

  Karen

I prepared myself as the car drove out of the portal and came to a halt before Jordan's house. I sighed as the car stopped and I removed the seatbelt, opening the door of the car and climbing down.

I looked up as I saw a woman and a dog on the front porch of the house next to Jordan's. She was an old woman and her eyes looked like it was going to pop out as she saw us.

The dog was barking loudly and wagging it's tail too.

"That's Mrs. Bill," Stella said as she climbed down from the car and she waved at the woman. I looked away and walked up the front porch of Jordan's house to the door.

The door would be locked and we didn't have his key. I looked around to make sure that no one was watching us and my hands began to glow in a bright golden color.

I heard the door click and I opened the door, walking in. They all walked in after me and Raphael closed the door.

I walked into the sitting room and I threw myself on a couch with a loud sigh. I was so confused and frustrated right now.

It was truly annoying to face the same problem that I thought I had long overcome.

"Where is this place? Why did we leave the pack?" Draco asked and came to sit next to me, holding the tablet in his hand tightly.

I faced him and smiled, "we're here on a short vacation, we'll go back to the pack later, okay?" I smiled at him and he nodded before directing his attention back at the game tablet in his hand.

I looked up as I heard a phone ringing and Raphael reached into his pocket, taking out his phone.

He looked at the screen and looked up briefly.

"It's Nate," Raphael said and he picked the call, holding up the phone up.

  "Hi Nate."

"Raphael, is that you?" I heard Garr's voice echo out of the phone and I sat up at alert.

"Yes, it's me. Garr?" Raphael asked.

"Yes, I'm at the pack now. Is Karen with you. There's something important that you have to know," Garr said and I guessed that one of the Five must have also paid him a visit.

"Yes, I am here," I replied loudly so he could hear me.

  "Good."

"Wait at the main door, I'll open a portal now," I said and I stood up as Raphael ended the call.

I stretched out my hands and golden waves flowed out of them, whirling rapidly in the air so it could form a complete portal.

I began to see the other side of the portal and I saw Garr standing in the corridor of the pack with Selena.

How were the two of them together. I finally lowered my hands as the portal was complete and as the two of them stepped inside the room through the portal, the portal closed up.

"So, what happened?" I asked and I went to sit down back beside Draco.

"Cade and The Archer. The both of them attacked us," Garr replied, confirming my suspicion.

"I was also personally attacked by Mor, Nylah and even the Archer. The ice elemental attacked Stella and Lucas," I said and Garr sighed in frustration, shoving his fingers into his hair.

"How the hell are they walking? Karen I thought you locked them up in coffins and kept them in the pack's dungeon?" Garr asked.

"I did. I don't know how this is happening," I replied.

"Someone must have pulled out the daggers from their hearts," Selena said and I nodded in agreement, although I had a absolutely no idea who the person might be.

Who would want those monsters alive and for what reason?

I tried to think of anyone in the pack that that could have a motive to do that, since anyone in the pack could easily access the dungeon.

I looked up as the door opened and I quickly stood up to prepare for whoever wanted to walk in through that door.

I slowly lowered my hands as I saw that it was Lycian. He slowly walked into the room and he looked at the faces of everyone here.

Wait, why was he here? This was Jordan's house so maybe he used to come here somrtimes.

"Hi, Lycian," Stella waved at him and he smiled bleakly.

He didn't seem okay, or rather, he looked like he had something he was hesitant to say.

"Lycian, what is it?" Lucas beat me to asking him that question.

He stared at all of us for a while with his lips quivering slightly before finally speaking.

"I might have had something to do with The Five being awake," Lycian said and my eyes widened in surprise.

  "What?!" Everyone exclaimed together.

"Lycian, what are you talking about?" I asked and I slowly stood up from the couch.

"I..... I was the one who pulled the dagger out of Mor's heart," Lycian said and I immediately went crazy on hearing that.

I thought that we had finally defeated them and they would rot away for ever only for the daggers to be pulled out of their hearts.

I dashed at him immediately and I grabbed his collars, smacking him against the wall.

"Why? Why did you do that?" I asked and he didn't say anything, making me even angrier.

"Answer me, why did you pull the fucking dagger out of his heart?!" I shouted on top of my voice and Lycian suddenly shouted back at me.

"Because of Jordan!" He yelled and I slowly let go of his collar, moving back a bit.

  What?

"Yes, I did it because Mor promised that he would bring Jordan back to life!"

  Karen.

"Why? Why did you do that?" I asked and Lycian didn't say anything, making me even angrier.

"Answer me, why did you pull the fucking dagger out of his heart?!" I shouted on top of my voice and Lycian suddenly shouted back at me.

"Because of Jordan!" He yelled and I slowly let go of his collar, moving back a bit.

  What?

"Yes, I did it because Mor promised that he would bring Jordan back to life!" Lycian yelled at me.

  Bring Jordan back to life?!

"And you really believe that he's going to do it? You believe he's going to keep to his promise?!" I asked on top of my voice and sat on the chair again.

"I can't believe you let those monsters come back because of a promise that will never be fulfilled," I said softly, breathing in deeply and immediately I said that, the door of the house flung open.

I quickly stood up and hit the door away before it could hit Garr and Selena.

I stood in front of them and looked at Mor and Cade standing at the door.

"Oh. Hello. Miss us?" Mor asked with a mischievous smile.

He slowly walked into the house and he looked around, his gaze landing on Draco.

"Mom, who are they? Are they joining us in the vacation?" Draco asked in curiosity and excitement.

"No. Get up and stay behind me now," I said and Draco looked up at Mor and Cade, the excitement on his face wearing away before he dropped the tablet in his hands and came to stand behind him.

"The answer is yes," Mor said with a smile and he glanced at Lycian.

"I always keep my promises and I already did," Mor said and I scoffed.

"You liar!" Selena who was standing behind me yelled and Mor smirked.

"I did keep my promise, I brought back your husband IN THE FLESH," Mor said and his hands glowed. His face changed into that of another man and he smiled at Selena.

"You bastard! Selena said and she was going to rush past me and attack Mor, but Garr quickly pulled her back.

  "Selena don't."

Mor smiled and his face changed back to the illusion form.

"I hope that you know the reasons why we are here?" Mor asked with a wide grin.

"I'll answer that. We are here so we can complete what we started and we're going to need the Tribrid for that," he stated.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on my son!" I bellowed at him and he smiled in amusement.

"The little trick you pulled off this last time is now going to work anymore," Cade said and I looked over my shoulder at Selena.

Does that mean that were no longer anchored to Selena. I've been learning everything about magic for the past three years and I know they still had to be anchored to something.

If they really did that, if they changed the anchoring, then it would be impossible to take down or even find the anchor.

My eyes darted to Mor's hands as they began to glow in a bright red color. He flicked the air with his finger and immediately, a force hit me in the chest and flung me up to the roof.

I groaned as I landed on the floor and heard my bones break.

Mor looked at Draco with a smile and intense glare and he slowly walked towards him. .

"Get away." Garr sudden got in the way of Mor and he shot two purple blasts at Mor.

Mor was able to dismiss one of the blasts, but the other one hit him on the shoulder, pushing him backward. Cade quickly supported him by causing the floor behind Mor to raise up a bit and stop his legs.

Mor looked up and the smile on his face disappeared, getting replaced by a hard glare.

His hands began to glow again and he clenched his right fists, pulling it down.

Garr began to groan and he held on to his throat as he was forcefully made to go on his knees.

"Garr, Garr," Selena moved closer to Garr and she tried to help him up.

"Elepsunde." Selena changed and rays of lights shaped like arrows appeared out of nowhere and whizzed at Mor.

Before they could hit Mor, he snapped his fingers and they dissolved into scarlet particles.

That was enough to distract Mor and Garr gasped as he got released. He coughed and slowly stood back up on his feet.

I stood up too and I walked forward so I could stand between them and Draco again.

I stopped walking suddenly as I heard something drop to the floor and I looked down to see Draco's wristwatch fall to the floor.

"Draco?" I asked and he suddenly clenched his small fist, stretching it out.

"Don't you dare touch my mom or anyone else!" Draco yelled at Mor and Mor chuckled.

All of sudden, massive transparent waves burst out of Draco's hands and it hit Mor and Cade. My hair blew violently in the air and I tried to maintain balance from the heavy wind blowing in the air.

Mor and Cade had also been pushed against the door and they were trying to push against the waves of wind.

I quickly opened a portal and as it fully formed, I faced Lucas, Stella, and Lycian.

"Get in!" I said on top of my voice because of the loud sound of the wind. Pieces of the roof were beginning to fall and everything in the room was flying around.

As soon as they entered the portal, I bent down, grabbed Draco's wristwatch, and clamped it on his wrist.

The wind stopped and immediately carried Draco up and jumped into the portal.

  ***

  Jordan.

There was complete darkness and a scary silence. Then came the faint beating sound. The beating sound became louder and louder and all of a sudden, my eyes shot open, gasping.

I looked around and saw that I was in a confined space. My eyes were completely black in colour and all I wanted to do I suck the life out of anything I saw.

A wicked smile formed on my lips and I raised my leg up, suddenly kicking the roof of the coffin I was lying in.

  Karen.

I slowly brought the car to a halt in front of the main pack mansion. I retrieved the keys from the car and I opened the door, climbing down.

I was just coming from the junior school in the pack. That was the school all small children in the pack went, after Junior School their parents would take them to school outside the pack, and then, the children would have learnt how to control themselves and hide their abilities.

Although hiding their abilities was no longer a big deal since the humans discovered us three years ago. The most important thing was controlling themselves and not using their abilities wrongly.

I climbed up to the door and I walked into the building. I saw Raphael approaching and I stopped before him.

"Raphael, have you seen Draco?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yes he locked up himself in your room earlier and he refused to open the door for anyone," Raphael said and I sighed knowing it would be for the same old reason.

"Okay, thank you," I said and I walked past Raphael to my room.

As I got to my room I stopped and I knocked on the door. There was no response and I knocked on the door again.

"Draco, darling," I said and knocked on the door but he didn't reply me.

"What's the matter? Open the door and talk to me," I tried to persuade him but he didn't say anything.

I sighed and my hands began to glow in a bright golden color. I grabbed the doorknob and I heard it click open.

I walked into the room and I saw Draco lying on the bed with his face buried in the bed..

"Draco, Draco?" I slowly walked towards the bed and I sat beside him on the bed.

"Draco, what is the matter?" I asked and grabbed his shoulder but he shook his shoulder, to get my hands off.

"You can talk to mommy. What is the matter?" I asked again.

"Just leave me alone," Draco said with his voice muffled as his face was buried in the bed.

"Come on, is this about you not going to school?" I asked.

"Yes!" Draco suddenly raised his head, frowning.

"I want to go back to school. Why won't you let me go back to school?!" He asked and I sighed.

"Draco, you know why I had to stop you," I said..

"Just give me some time and you'll go back to school," I said, trying to persuade him to wait, but he shook his head

"No, I want to go to school and play with all my friends," Draco shook his head and I tried to touch him, but he pushed my hand away.

"Draco, I made you stop schooling for now because you always accidentally hurt your friends when you are playing with them," I said.

"But it was a mistake, I didn't mean to hurt any of them," Draco insisted.

"I know that is why you have to stay at home for now until I figure it out," I stated.

"No! This place is boring! I want to go to school!" Draco yelled and I looked around as wind began to blow in the room..

"Draco, calm down, we will talk about this later," I said trying to make him calm down and prevent his uncontrolled magic.

"No! I want to go to school!" Dracula with again and suddenly, everywhere burst up into flames.

  ***

I blinked as I stepped out of the portal. I bought out us back to the park and we were standing in a corridor in the main pack mansion.

I close the portal and I dropped Draco, allowing him to stand on the floor by himself.

"Draco, why did you do that?" I asked and he looked up at me apologetically.

"Why did you take off your wrist watch?"

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to help you," he said and I nodded, patting his head..

"It's okay," I said and I bent down to help him put on his wrist watch properly.

"Karen, why did you bring us to the pack?" Lucas asked asked and I stood up straight.

"Yes we are not going to stay here," I assured.

"I think Selena is no longer anchored to the Five so if we create a Chamber Chetum, they shouldn't be able to reach us," I said.

"How are we sure that they are no longer anchored to Selena. He might have been lying to deceive us," Garr said and I stared at him silently.

He was right. Mor could have been lying to us or you might have even been implying a completely different thing.

When he said that using Selena against them would no longer work, he might not have meant that they were no longer anchored to Selena.

It was possible that they had found a way to prevent the things that happened to Selena happening to them also.

All of this shouldn't be happening. Right now I shouldn't even be bothered about finding a way to protect Draco and fight off The Five.

Only if Lycian had come to us after Mor made that promise, instead of going behind us and taking that irrational decision by himself.

By the way, how was Mor even able to communicate with him while daggered in that coffin.

I looked up and I saw Roderigo approaching.

He stopped walking as he saw all of us and he looked curious.

"Don't worry you can keep going," Raphael said and Roderigo nodded. He was about to move, but all of a sudden, he froze in place.

What? I watched in shock as Roderigo's body began to turn pale and his veins became grey.

"Roderigo!" I gasped as Roderigo fell lifelessly to the floor and I looked up to see someone I didn't expect standing there..

He was wearing a black leather jacket and his eyes were completely black in color.

  Jordan!
