CHAPTER 237

  Karen.

Immediately, Jordan zoomed away and I watched as the black clouds joined together and materialized into Kaden.

He looked at his body in surprise, shaking his arms. All of a sudden, he stopped moving and I watched as his eyelids slowly closed as he dropped to the floor. I zoomed towards him quickly and I caught him in my arms before he could fall to the ground.

  What just happened??

"Karen-" I heard Stella call me from across the street and I turned around to face her.

The expression on her face made me curious and worried. What happened?

I didn't realize what happened until I looked around and saw that I couldn't see Draco.

What? Where was Draco? Where did he go?

"Where's Draco?" I asked loudly with my heart beating rapidly.

  "Jordan took him."

What?! I wanted to drop my hands until I realized I was carrying Kaden.

Draco?! Why did he tell Draco?! My heart was beating rapidly as I was scared he might try to siphon the magical energy in Draco.

I looked as up as a large blue portal opened in the air and Sanctum officials stepped out of the portal. Someone must have alerted them that something was happening here.

"It's you guys, what is it?" Darell asked and he looked at Kaden who was lying unconsciously in my arms.

We really needed to find Jordan, hide from The Five, or Four now, and find out what's wrong with Kaden.

I think getting Sanctum involved might be our best bet.

  ***

"You're saying that Jordan has gone Rogue now?" Darell asked and I nodded, crossing my arms over my chest. I glanced at the side where we laid Kaden on a couch.

"And he has my son, Draco," I said, scared to think of what might happen.

"Wait, the Tribrid is still alive?!" A Sanctum official in the room exclaimed in surprise. I looked up at him and sensed that he was a Wizard.

"Yes, something wrong with that?" I asked, glaring at him.

"Yes, it is wrong. What about all the scary prophecies and visions that were seen about him?" He asked and I sighed in frustration, they were still on about that rubbish.

"I heard about it. They are unreasonable," Darell said and I nodded in support, although I wondered if he would think the same if he was also a Mage. He was human.

I looked around and saw that there were other officials there who were Vampires and Werewolves.

"We have to find Jordan before he hurts Draco or before the Five gets to him and takes Draco," I said and Darell lifted his eyebrows..

"The Five?? As in the ancient Five friends from the Kraken Clan??" Darell asked..

"Yes, they were resurrected and they are after Draco," Garr replied.

"Because of those visions and prophecy?" Darell asked and I glanced up at the Wizard and then at the others in the room.

"Yes, but first, they are going to use him to make all supernaturals who aren't mages to turn human," I replied and all of them seemed surprised..

Even if the Mages among them really believed the prophecies, then the others would sure as hell feel motivated to assist in getting Draco back.

"Okay, there is a way we can talk to Jordan," Darell said and he stood up on his feet.

"Get the communicator," Darell instructed and one of the men nodded before walking out of the room.

  "What is that?" I asked.

"We'll cast a locator spell on Jordan, but the communitor will allow us to create a signal to speak to him," Darell explained. Soon the man walked back into the room holding a device.

It had a thick rectangular metal with a flat bottom and an antenna like device was attached to it.

"We'll can use my blood," I said and I conjured a knife.

"Just a drop," Darell said and he pointed at a tiny hole on the device. I nodded and I pricked the tip of my thumb allowing a drop of my blood to drop into the device.

"Locitare nelida postum. Locitare nelida postum," one of the wizards from Sanctum began to chant and as he did, the antenna attached to the device began to spin around slowly.

The spinning got faster and faster before finally stopping and a bright blue light shine at the tip of the antena.

A thin ray of light shot out of the antenna into the air, stretching out until it had created a blue film in the air.

I looked at the blue film and I could see Jordan as if I was looking at him through a security footage.

Jordan looked as if he was staring at me in confusion and he slowly stretched out his hands that I thought his hands would come out through the film.

He dropped his hands and a look of recognition lit up on his face.

"Oh, it's you guys," Jordan said with a wide grin.

"I was already getting tired of waiting for you to contact me," he said and he moved back a bit so more of his body could be seen.

"Where is Draco?!" I yelled at him.

"Oh calm down, Draco is right here with me and he is perfectly fine," Jordan said and I sighed in relief. Although, I couldn't see Draco and didn't know that, I believed him.

"At least for the meantime," Jordan threatened and I gritted my teeth in anger.

"Jordan, what do you want?" Garr asked, stepping forward a bit.

"Finally someone asked," Jordan said, throwing up his arms in the air..

"What I want is simple-" he said and smiled mischievously.

"There is a certain power battery with you right now and I want it," he replied. What? What was he talking about??

"Bring it to me in the next 24 hrs and you're going to get your precious little son back, or I'll just make do with the energy your son had to offer," Jordan continued.

"What are you talking about? What power battery?" I asked in frustration.

"Oh, you know it. So don't trying to play dumb with me,"he said and I looked over my shoulder to face Kaden who was lying on the couch.

That time you had suddenly turned into a large black cloud. Could he be the one?

  Karen.

"Jordan, what do you want?" Garr asked, stepping forward a bit.

"Oh, you know it. So don't trying to play dumb with me,"he said and I looked over my shoulder to face Kaden who was lying on the couch.

That time you had suddenly turned into a large black cloud. Could he be the one?

I was about to ask him, but before I could, Jordan touched the mist from the other side and it disappeared.

"What power battery is he talking about??" Darell asked and I glanced at Kaden.

"I think it is Kaden," I replied.

"We thought he had died three years ago, but all of a sudden, I found him, he doesn't remember any of us and he is human then he turns into some sort of large cloud of magical energy," I explained and Darell sighed, intertwining his fingers on his desk.

"I'm really confused right now, I don't know what is going on with him," I said, sighing in frustration.

"We can scan him to check what's really happening," Darell said.

"That would be good," Garr replied.

  "Okay, have the laboratory prepared."

  ***

I watched as Kaden was laid on a bed with a large overhead lamp radiating a blue light. The bed was slowly moved into a machine and I crossed my arms over my chest waiting to hear the result.

"Do you see that?" Darell asked and he pointed at a screen where Kaden's body was being displayed in a green and red 3D form.

I noticed that the areas around his hearr down to his abdomen was black in color and it was constantly moving.

  "What's that?" I asked.

"It's like a cluster of magical energy inside of him," the man standing next to Darell said and he pointed at the screen.

He looked at a tablet in his hand, examining whatever was on it closely.

"But it isn't just in him, his body cells are those magical energy. It's like he himself if the energy," He explained and I wasn't even sure if I understood what he just said.

"You said, he died, what happened?" The man asked him.

"He was shot in the heart with an arrow and he fell into some sort of dark cloud," I explained.

"It's a purging hollow," the man said.

  What was that?

"A purging hollow has two uses. To either slow a magical effect or to purge magic," he explained and I nodded.

That was why we weren't able to move at supernatural speed on the bridge that day.

"What kind of arrow hit his heart and what happened after that?" The man asked.

"It was a magical arrow. We were in a Chamber Chetum that day so when it cleared, we lost him into the hollow," Raphael replied.

"I think the hollow reversed the effect of the arrows and when the Chamber Chetum cleared, the hollow tried to save itself so it entered into Kaden and it purged Kaden out of the hollow," He explained and I thought I was going to have an headache because of all the explanation..

"Entering into Kaden, the hollow purged out his werewolf side and his memories. Now Kaden's body is adapting and becoming one with the hollow," he added.

"That's why Jordan wants him so he can absorb the magic of the hollow," I said and I pplaced my hand on my forehead, sighing.

"And since Kaden is connected to the hollow now, he's going to end up killing Kaden in the process," Garr said.

"Is there a way to separate Kaden from the hollow?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yes, we can, but it's going to take a while and Jordan gave us only 24 hrs," He replied.

"The hollow, if Nylah created it, can't we also create it?" Lucas asked.

"We don't have access to the power of every Mage who has ever died like they do," Selena replied.

"Yes, but we can create a decoy to deceive Jordan and get Draco from him," Garr said and I looked up to face him.

"Yes, I can create a condensed form of pure energy to deceive him," Garr said.

"But it'll be purple in color," Selena said..

"And if we try to create an illusion to make it black, his magic detection would sense the illusion," She added and I knew she was right.

"What about trying to harvest some of the energy from Kaden before the main separation is done," I suggested.

"Yes, we can do that," the scientist replied. The bed was rolled out of the machine and Garr conjured an empty transparent glass jar shaped like a lantern.

I moved closer to Kaden's body and Garr opened the jar.

I placed my palms on Kaden's naked chest and I could sense all of the energy in him. My hands began to glow in a bright golden color and slowly, black waves flowed out of Kaden's chest.

I groaned as I felt the energy trying to infiltrate my magic connection and stop me. The waves slowly flowed up and entered into the glass jar.

After a while, I quickly took my hands away from Kaden's chest and before all the waves could go back into Kaden, Garr quickly shut the jar.

I sighed and my hands stopped glowing. The black energy in the jar moved around violently inside the jar as it tried to reconnect with it's host.

"We'll go with you to meet Jordan and Marc will work on separating the hollow from Kaden."
