THE RED CARPET
"Sandra what are you saying?" Jessie screeched on the phone as she got informed of Ethan's intentions.
"I am sorry but it is the truth. I heard him even remind her of it. He is going to bring her..."
"Isn't there a way we can stop her from coming? All my friends would be there. They will think that I and Ethan are no more... Please help me, Sandra!" Jessie screeched for the millionth time that evening.
Sandra could take the pictures to Ethan straight and that may at least cause some doubts in his heart hopefully deep enough to have him delay taking her to the public but she couldn't do that. That little Anita had threatened her and she didn't want the child to go telling on her till she had thought of a solution for the girl. Hopefully, if Jessie could take Ethan back then she would convince Jessie to make Ethan say the girl away. At that point, she would easily get away with her. But within the estate, it wouldn't be easy for her to kill anyone.
"Look my hands are tied here, Jessie. I have shown the pictures to Ethan and Peter but none of them want to do anything about it. I am helpless here," Sandra lied.
"Oh my God!" Jessie exclaimed in shock. "I will have to come up with a new plan..."
"And it has to be as fast as possible. The party is in two days..." Sandra reminded her.
"Fine. Just leave it to me. I will be at the party too. We will meet there and I will tell you whatever I come up with, okay?" Jessie said through the phone.
"Okay fine."
Sandra ended the call and prayer Jessie really came up with something good enough that would give them the time they needed to separate Camilla from Ethan.
That was her only goal now.

The day of the event finally came.
Camilla puts on her beautiful green dress which Ethan got for her.
"You look amazing ma'am!" The hairstylist Ethan had gotten for her said.
"Thank you, " Camilla whispered as she looked at herself in the mirror. She really looked amazing and she felt it too.
She really looked like some princess from a very well-known place.
A knock came on her door and she blushed, knowing well enough that it was Ethan there to pick her up.
The stylist opened the door and indeed it was Ethan.
"Woah!" He exclaimed when he opened the door.
Camilla smiled as she dropped her head to the floor. He also looked very handsome in his tuxedo and the small green flower in his pocket that matched the green of her dress. Yet he thought she looked stunning. Camilla couldn't contain the emotions she felt. She blushed all over. Even her ears were red.
He raised her jaw and held her head high. "Don't kook away Camilla. You look fabulous!" He complimented her.
She smiled but this time she didn't look away. She focused her attention on his green eyes.
He gave her his hand and she took it. Together they walked to the door, just like the first time he had taken her for a date but this time around it was a fancy event and she was all dressed up for it.
This time, Ethan wasn't driving. There was a driver around to take them to the venue.
"My lady," the driver said, bowing respectfully as he held the door open for them.
Ethan held her left arm as she mounted the vehicle. She got in and scooted for him to join her.
"I think I should dress you up like this every night, you look stunning, " Ethan repeated unable to take his eyes off her body.
The first time she had tried the dress, she looked beautiful in it nevertheless but tonight it was different. She had an extra shine of beauty in her and he couldn't help gawking at her.
Camilla's entire body seem to be awake, every slight movement Ethan made she felt it between her legs. The tension in the car was getting high and she couldn't have been more grateful when they finally got to the venue.
The paparazzi went crazy as they saw Ethan descend the car, the screams even increased when they saw that he didn't come alone.
Ethan held out his hands for Camilla and everyone held their breaths waiting to see who the new girlfriend was. As soon as Camilla stepped out, everyone was mesmerized by her beauty.
Ethan led her through the red carpet, till they got to the photo stand. They posed for a few shots and reporters tried to ask as many questions as they could even if they knew that Ethan never responded to any of their questions.
"Mr. Jadiel is this your new girlfriend?" One asked.
"You are so beautiful miss what is your name?" Another reporter asked.
"Thank you, " Camilla mouthed to the reporter with a smile and Ethan took her inside for he knew the others would want to ask more questions hoping they would also get responses.
The host immediately stopped the music and the spotlight was placed on them. Camilla held tightly to Ethan's hand. She knew Ethan was popular but she didn't imagine the extent.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let's welcome the man of the moment, the CEO himself, Mr. Ethan Jadiel Peterson, and his beautiful companion!"
The crowd of fancy-dressed people erupted in claps as they welcomed Ethan who bowed respectfully at them, waving his hand.
"What am I supposed to do?" Camilla whispered to his side.
"Just keep looking beautiful dear Camilla, " Ethan said getting lost in her beauty again.
He brought her to the event so she could understand the kind of person he was. He knew she was a pickpocket but he wanted her to realize that he had enough money to give her everything she needed. She didn't have to take from him.
When he had found out that she took from him, it broke his heart but his wolf gave him the strength he needed to continue. He was disappointed in her because everything she took, he could have given them to her if only she had asked.
But rather than close up his heart to her, Ethan became determined to show her his world. Maybe when she saw it and would change her mind.
The music resumed and they walked deeper into the large hall where Ethan had spotted some of his friends.
"Ethan!"
"Marcus!" Ethan exclaimed hugging his friend.
"Long time no see my friend, where have you been?" Marcus said.
Marcus Cartel was one of his friends in the mafia world. He was a vampire but a very cool-headed one when he knew he would benefit somehow from the situation and according to him every situation brought some kind of benefit it just depended on how you handled it.
"I am good. I had to go fix some problems in the province but I am back now, " Ethan said, sincerely happy to see his friend.
But Ethan didn't exactly say the truth to his friend. He was hiding the fact that he had not been to their regular gatherings and clubs because he was at the estate all the time. This was because he wanted to spend more time with his mate, Camilla.
But Marcus was a very wise man. His grey eyes moved to the woman beside Ethan and he smiled stretching his hands to her. "And who is this beauty by your side Ethan?"
Camilla looked to Ethan unsure of what to do next. Should she give her hands to this stranger or not?
Ethan nodded gently at her and she stretched her hand to him, hoping she interpreted his instructions right. The last thing she needed was for her to do the opposite of what he had asked her to do.
The strange man took her hands and dropped a kiss on them. "Ah, she is your mate, finally! I am glad you sent that slimy one away from you, " Marcus said and Camilla looked confused.
Were they speaking in codes?
She looked to Ethan for help but he couldn't meet her eyes.
"Marcus, I have to catch up with others, enjoy the night!" Ethan said and pulled Camilla away unceremoniously.
Marcus was a man without a sieve in his mouth he could go on about who they were without realizing that Camilla was human and perhaps she didn't know who they were.
"Did I do something wrong?" Camilla asked when they got far enough.
Ethan looked at her with alarm. He never wanted her to feel that way at all. His eyes softened as he held her shoulder. "No, you didn't do anything wrong. My friend is just a very strange person to be around with. I didn't want you to start feeling uncomfortable... " Ethan told her. His head was getting filled and her intoxicating scent by his side was not helping his situation.
One of the waiters passing around the wines passed his side and he grabbed two glasses for him and Camilla. He downed his in one go and turned to her.
"We should go dance! Come on!" He said and without waiting for her response, dragged her to the dance floor.
