Chapter 76

  Her Humiliation.

Camilla and Ethan were the talks of the event. Everyone admired them as they danced to the beat of the slow music. The public had seen Ethan with a lot of ladies but none had been like Camilla. Neither did he look at them the way he gazed at Camilla.

It was like she was the only person in that room. His green eyes never for once wavered away from her smile. And she was so cute in that green dress that complemented her body so beautifully. Every lady wanted to be her tonight.

Camilla felt tingles in her stomach and she couldn't stop the emotions that swirled in her head, she just couldn't. Ethan was so gentle, yet so strong. He was this person she always dreamt of meeting. When she was still with her parents and her mum went on about getting her a boyfriend, the image that came to her head, even back then, was Ethan's.

Maybe she had known him in her past life. Maybe they were even lovers it would explain why her body had this reaction whenever they were this close to each other.

She was looking up at him as they danced their bodies, so close if he tilted his head lower on a certain level and she pushed herself higher, their lips will meet.

It didn't help that his lips were parted as he watched her.

Camilla's ears became red again and she quickly looked away from him. His green eyes were too enticing to even focus on. It made her think of things she couldn't have.

"Are you tired?" Ethan asked blowing another wind of shiver down her skin as his breath brushed her bare shoulder.

  "Yes, " she said breathlessly.

She wasn't tired. She just couldn't keep up with the tension that threatened to pull her to his bed tonight.

Ethan held her hand and led her to a corner of the hall that wasn't too crowded. He found an empty chair and made her seat. Her face was flushed and he believed she was truly tired.

"I'll go get you something to drink okay. Wait right here and don't venture anywhere else!" He told her.

Camilla nodded as she slipped her bottom lip between her teeth. She didn't trust her voice to sound normal. She was breathless like a woman who had been fucked, yet Ethan had barely touched any important part of her.

Ethan folded his hands into fists at the way she bit her bottom lip. She didn't know it, but it drove his cock crazy.

Damn, Camilla was beautiful. He could say it a thousand times but it was the truth. She was effortlessly sect as well.

He straightened and placed a kiss on her forehead before quickly disappearing to get her water or any form of liquid he could find.

Camilla looked at him till he disappeared before she released the breath she was holding. She fanned herself and moved back and forth in the seat, trying to calm her nerves.

  "Look who we have here!"

A loud screech reached her and she turned to look at where the sound came from.

Camilla is surprised to find Jessie and Sandra, gawking dangerously at her, like she had taken something from them.

Oh, wait- she had indeed taken someone from them, Ethan.

"Hey, Jessie... Sandra..." Camilla acknowledged them with a smile.

Jessie stepped closer and pushed Camilla by the shoulder. "Who are you greeting so casually you low life! How dare you?"

Camilla was shocked at the audacity. She got up from the seat and glared at Jessie. She wasn't scared of Jessica. she had faced off way stronger opponents on the streets.

"Excuse me, what is this about?" Camilla asked her as she got up on her feet.

Jessie laughed -a low dangerous laugh that caused goosebumps to appear on Camilla's body.

"Now listen you rat! Ethan doesn't belong to you! He belongs to me! And there is absolutely no amount of trick you want to keep doing that would get him to like you. Do you understand? " Jessie said

"No, I don't understand..." Camilla stood her ground defiantly.

Jessie laughed again, this time her eyes shone with pure evil.

"What is it you don't understand?" She screamed causing people nearby to get interested in the conversation. "Do you need me to remind you that you are from the gutters and that Ethan isn't your bank to keep sucking money from?"

As more people trooped around them Camilla felt embarrassed and her eyes became red as she fought back tears.

"Jessie, what are you saying?" Camilla asked her, her voice cracking at the end.

"I am saying the truth. The truth you have been hiding from everyone! You pauper!" She yelled.

"Why am I even calling her a pauper?" She asked turning to Sandra who stood still in the corner not saying a word.

"You are not a pauper. A pauper has more self-respect than you. You silly cheap wore! Aside from that, you are also a thief! Did you steal this gown as well?"

There were gasps among the crowds as they couldn't believe the beautiful woman that Ethan borough to the event was a thief. Some took out their phones and started recording the whole scene.

"Jessica shut up. You don't know what you are saying!" Sandra put in as one of the phones got to her side.

Jessie in that rage didn't even realize that it was Sandra that had spoken, but she answered anyway.

"I know exactly what I am saying! She is a thief and you should be careful of your jewelry and watches because she might have already taken them!"

The crowd gasped again as some of the women started checking their purses to see if they had lost anything.

Tears streamed down Camilla's face and she wondered why she had even let herself be carried to a place like this in the first place. She wanted to leave but as she made to move, someone pushed her back.

"Who knows, maybe she has some things already stolen!" Someone in the crowd yelled and Jessie grinned.

"No!" Camilla cried out as she tried to protect her body from the hands of the horny men around her that wanted to use the opportunity to touch her body.

"We should search you, sweetheart, just to make sure you didn't take anything!" One snickered and the ladies all screamed in agreement

Camilla took unconscious steps to the back and she hit the wall.

"Stay away from me! I didn't take any of your things please!" She cried out.

But the men were determined to enjoy the beautiful flower in front of them.

Camilla was so ashamed and hurt that she couldn't even fight her heart was filled with shame and pain and even her voice refused to come out above a whisper.

Suddenly, she felt a presence in front of her.

"Everyone back to the party, now!"

She heard the voice of her savior and when she opened her eyes she found that strange friend of Ethan, Marcus.

He looked pitifully at her and Camilla felt her heart shatter. As the crowd dispersed in disapproval, she ran out of the event, peeling off the shoes from her feet so she could move. As she ran, she tore off the pieces of the dress away from around her legs as well.

There was only one place she could go and that was to the hospital.

She ran to the City hospital from where they were. She didn't have any money with her so getting a taxi was impossible.

It took her forever to reach but she did finally reach. The guard saw from her state that she didn't need to be stopped. They let her in and she ran straight to her father's ward.

The moment she saw him, she collapsed into tears.

"Dad!" She cried out, tears flowed down her cheeks like a dam had been opened from her body. "I was humiliated because I am trying to help you!" She choked out between her sobs.

"In front of everyone, dad... I was called a thief! I was called what I am..." She cried, her body shaking as the tremors moved through her body.

  "And it's true!"

  She was devastated.

  Camilla was heartbroken.

If only her father could wake up, then she wouldn't be nominated like this. She wouldn't be called names and molested in front of all the people like this.

"Why? Why can't you just wake up?" She sobbed resting her head on his lifeless hands.

How was she going to face the world again when everyone would wake up to videos of her being insulted by Jessie at that big party.

"I should have listened to Lisa! I should have listened..." She said through tears. Her shaky voice echoed in the quiet ward yet there was no one nearby to comfort her.

Even if there were, the only one she needed was her father. Only he could help her now.
