CHAPTER 83

  Not my Baby.

The front doors opened and Adams stepped in with two young attendants. Adams wore a black suit that looked like he had spent the whole morning ironing it.

His boys were the complete opposite. Their white coats looked like it was brought from a crocodile's mouth. They were a complete contrast. While the boys looked like they would sleep off at the first sight of a bed, Adams looked like he had spent a lot of time in the spa. They were so different yet there seemed to be some kind of harmony between them.

The attendants carried two silver briefcases of medium size. While Adam took the direction of Ethan. The two attendants just waited by the side until their boss called for them.

"Good morning Alpha," Adams greeted stretching his hand to Ethan -who was still sitting. He had a soothing smile on his face that made it easy to speak to him about anything.

Ethan got up from his sit and walked the remaining distance to Adams' stretched hand. He greeted him and they held on to each other in a friendly embrace.

"Good morning Adams. I am so glad you could make it."

"It's nothing Alpha," Adams responded with a small smile. "How are things in the province now?" Adams asked.

"It's fine... We have another situation at the moment, Adam. Please, come," Ethan said, directing him back to where he was before and pointing Jessie to him.

"She is the lady. Can you please check how old her pregnancy is?"

Adam stared at Jessie and tried to smile at her -keyword tried. Jessie looked even paler as she saw the doctor. Her father held her hands trying to calm her down. What her father didn't know was that she wasn't just lying to Ethan, she was lying to him too.

"Beta, how are you?" Adams greeted the moment his eyes landed on Peter.

Peter waved his left hand at Adam in a quick friendly salute and continued typing away on his phone.

"Please hurry up with the result Adams. This woman is choking out the air in here!" He said still focused on his phone.

"I will get started..." Adams motioned to his boys to bring in his materials and he bent over by Jessie's arm.

His boys took long strides to where Adams stood. They opened one of the boxes and one took out the syringe.

The first passed the syringe to Adam, while the second held Jessie's arm.

The one holding Jessie's arm helps Adams tie a transparent rope around her hand to try and keep her blood at the spot Adams wants needed to get her blood sample.

"Igh!" She squeaked as the needle broke into her skin.

Adams drew out the amount he needed and passed it to the attendant. He then loosened the rope and he also pressed a ball of cotton wool on the part where he had punctured.

"How long will you take?" Mr. Thompson asked Adams.

"All you have to do is give me a few minutes," Adams said, as he left Jessie's side and walked to where his attendants stood with their bags.

One of the bags was opened and Adams set up the table, so he could check the pathogen in the blood sample they had just taken from Jessie.

Adams didn't have to do a pregnancy test because his wolf senses had already picked another heartbeat in her body. He was only going to confirm how old the baby was and who exactly owned it.

"The moment of truth is here," Peter snickered as he kept typing away on his phone.

Jessie was rubbing her hands together.

She was trying to manage her anxiety. She looked around, hoping she could see Sandra but Sandra wasn't anywhere close.

Jessie was all alone and if things went south she would have to face it on her own and this she knew too well already.

Adams got up from his seat and walked to where the group had gathered.

Adams fixed his glasses over his nose and turned to Ethan.

"Alpha, she is truly pregnant as we all know," He began, taking his time to look at all the werewolves in the room -he was certain they all knew she was pregnant at this point. They could all hear the faint heartbeat in Jessie's body.

"However, the pregnancy isn't for Ethan-" Adam was saying but Jessie screeched so as not to allow the doctor to finish what he wanted today.

"What do you mean!?" She screeched.

Adams tried to reply but slot in another fierce question he allowed her to take the spotlight.

"It's Ethan's child! You didn't even take his blood sample! How can you claim it isn't his? What sort of test did you do?" She said with panic. Her eyes were red as she tried to keep her angry tears at bay. "You don't know anything!" She cried out in desperation.

Adams smiled at her. "I am his doctor, I have all information concerning his health do not worry about that miss," Adam responded calming.

Ethan was shaking his left leg in anger but he kept his cool watching as Jessie continued making a scene.

One of Adam's attendants stepped forward and handed a white envelope over to him. Adams took the envelope and turned it to Jessie's father.

"Here is the age of the baby," Adams said handing the paper over to Mr. Thompson.

Mr. Thompson took the paper and checked the information. His brows met together in a thick line the more he read through the letter.

"Dad, what's wrong? Look, if the results are negative. We shall get a second result! We don't have to stay here and think differently. It is a simple thing-" Jessie rambled as her father's expression kept changing the further he read the letter in his hands.

  "Daddy if it isn't-"

A loud resounding slap sounded in the room and Jessie felt light headed all of a sudden. Her ears rang and there was a sharp painful sting in her eyes.

"How dare you!? How dare you, Jessica?" Mr. Thompson barked as he threw the envelope to her.

He turned to Ethan and held his hands together as if he wanted to say a prayer. "Ethan, I am so sorry I caused this much trouble for you. I thought she was telling the truth..." He cried out to Ethan.

"Dad what are you saying?" Camilla asked as she wiped tears from her eyes.

"It's no problem, sir. I am just glad that we have cleared it out before then," Ethan assured him.

In his mind, he couldn't wait for them to leave because of his relationship with Mr. Thompson.

Jessie became stranded. Tears flowed freely down her face as she bent over to pick up the paper he had dropped on the floor. Her hands shook as she opened the paper and read through it. It showed that she has been pregnant for only four days. Meanwhile, the party was barely two days ago.

Jessie felt like her heart will speed out of place as she stood shaking with the piece of paper in her hands. She knew that her game was up, but she refused to let go of her fights. She still wanted Ethan.

Jessie suddenly jumped to Ethan's feet. She sprawled herself by his feet and held them close. "Ethan please! Don't let me go! Please, Ethan! I can't live without you! Please have mercy!" She begged and Peter signaled to the guards at the fat end of the room.

"Please take this woman away from the alpha, at once!" Peter commanded.

Mr. Thompson held his head low in shame and walked out of the house, leaving Jessie to scream embarrassingly in the room. He was devastated. His daughter had failed him. The moment he saw the results of the age of the baby, he immediately understood everything Jessie has been doing was just to get Ethan back and nothing more. He had raised a selfish human in the world.

The guards arrived and tried to pull Jessie off Ethan's side but she became like a leach. She couldn't be peeled off of him.

"Ethan!" She screeched as they started removing her fingers one after the other.

"Ethan no! You can't do this to me! You can't do this to me! I love you very much! Camilla doesn't love you the way I do! She is a thief... Ethan please! " she cried hysterically as the guards successfully, pick her up and started moving towards the doors.

"You can give the baby's daddy your love!" Peter snickered.

Ethan didn't say a single word. He just watched with a satisfactory smile what was happening.

"Ethan!! She steals from you! Ethan, I swear I am telling the truth about this! Ethan!" Jessie kept screaming at the top of her lungs as she got thrown out of the house and into her father's vehicle. Immediately the guards locked the doors behind her, Mr. Thompson kicked started the engine and drive out of the estate in shame.

"We should definitely have a drink to this!" Peter said and Adams fell into laughter.

"You are right. It was by the goddess grace that we were able to get rid of some pests!" Laughter boomed in the room and Ethan joined them.

He had been praying to the goddess to take Jessie away from him and somehow it has happened. Maybe if she didn't use the pregnancy, he might have kept her in the house because of her father and because he had gotten tired of the noise. But she had to mess things up by getting impregnated by another person and then she had wanted to pin it on him.

"Come on guys, let's go get something to eat!" Ethan said getting to his feet.

He started in the direction of the dining room and they all walked together. It felt like they had won a case in court.

"How about the people in the province, how are they now? You said you were going to tell me as soon as we settled Jessie's case," Adam asked as they got close to the dining room.

"Oh, they are doing great. We have successfully been able to completely wipe out that plague and the people are living perfectly fine now. Thank you so much for everything Adam," Ethan said as they entered the room.

"It's nothing my Alpha. I am just doing my job," Adams said.

Breakfast time had passed and he knew that Camilla wouldn't be in the room but he couldn't help the spirit of disappointment that crawled unto his system. After the brunch, they were about to have.

Mary stepped into the room and the scent of well cooked steak filled the air. She served them and proceeded to let them enjoy their meal in peace. The men shattered and joked around concerning Jessie and her silly games.

After their meal, Adams leaves the estate to return to his office and Peter also leaves, saying something about Lisa.

Ethan leaves the dining room last. His legs carry him to Camilla's room and he finds the door locked. She might be sleeping by now he would have to check on her later.

Rather than walk to his room, Ethan goes to his office and spends the rest of the day in there busy with work. Managing fleets of companies and a group of packs wasn't a very easy task. Even when Mary came to call him to come down for dinner, Ethan refused to go. He was hellbent on completing the file he was working on before he left the room.

When he was done, Ethan was bothered about Camilla. He had buried himself in work all day because he didn't want to think of her. But the moment he drops the work, Camilla comes to his mind.

He needed fresh air to think.

Ethan stepped out of the house to take in air. He moved about quietly in the dark, trying to think of the best way he could convince Camilla to confess her hidden secrets to him. Why did she have to steal from him?

The sound of scurrying feet came to his ears and Ethan immediately jumped out of his thoughts.

There was someone in his estate.
