We paid for our tickets to play balloons and darts and began to play. As expected, we won at the first round and got gifts. I got a giant elephant and Magnus got a giant cucumber which he claimed to be a sign from the gods

Crazy fuck, but then it takes one to know one.

Since Magnus wanted to try out games before we try out the rides, we decided to play Dime Pitch next. We paid for our quarter coins each and deciding to go first, I tossed my coin onto the horizontal the board with random marks. When my coin landed, it completely covered one of the random lines on the board since most of the lines were of the same diameter as the coin, it was supposed to be all the lines being of the same diameter, but the game operator gas rigged it, arranging the marks at a particular randomness where coins couldn’t easily fit the diameter. But I was a vampire and rigged games won’t affect me. Since I won, I got a mug with winner imprinted on it. Magnus played and he won too and he got the same price.

We gave our prices to two children that were sad about losing and went on to play the next game. We decided to play whack-a-mole and we accidentally broke the machine. Magnus transferred a good sum of money to the game controller, money that would definitely get him five if what he just lost

Laughing at our clumsiness and probably high on sugar from all the cotton candy we kept eating, we went on to the next game. It was the ring toss and after we played the milk bottle. We won all and got our prices which we gave out and then Magnus complained that he didn’t feel like playing the games anymore. I knew it was because he still hasn’t found who he came here looking for and we’ve spent almost two hours in the amusement park.

Since Magnus didn’t want to play games anymore, because he is a sulky little man, we could finally try out the rides.

Magnus wasn’t too keen on trying them

“come on, it’ll be fun” I said trying to encourage him

“It won't, and you know it” he said stomping his feet and closing his eyes

Did he just stomp his feet like a little kid?

“The last time we got on these rides, I puked after each ride till there was no liquid left in my stomach” he said

“But you said you wanted to face your fears right?” I asked poking his ribs

“Bitch, that was a lie I made up so I could meet the man of my dreams, who I don’t think I’ll be seeing today” he said sounding a little sad

“Come, on” I pushed him towards the line for the Ferris wheel “who knows, you might have a better chance if seeing him faster from the top of the Ferris wheel” I said

He grumbled

We were the last on the line

It was almost our turn to get our tickets when Magnus suddenly pinched me

“Holy shit Irena, it’s him! I’ve found him!” he exclaimed trying to contain his excitement

“wow, you were right,” I looked around “what does he look like again?” I asked when I couldn’t identify who he was talking about

“Look at him! He’s one over there buying those corndogs” he said nudging his head towards the direction he was talking about. He was pretty mixed up with the crowds, but due to our vampire abilities we are able to spot him out easily

“His face isn't even visible, how are you that he’s the one?” I asked baffled

“You see that hoodie he’s wearing? I caught a glimpse of it during one of his live games and disregarding that, I recognize any of side of his profile anywhere, at just one glance. That’s how much I’ve stalked him” he whispered the last part

I didn't even know what to say in reply

“Here, hold my candy apple” He pushed his candy apple into my hand. “How do I look?” he asked trying desperately to rearrange his disheveled hair

“You look great” I replied trying to figure out what's about to happen “Why are you asking? Where are you going?” don't tell me he's about to—

“I’m going to meet him, I’ll be back soon, I won’t be gone for long” he said hurriedly walking off

“But you said-” he was already gone.

The man giving out the tickets was waiting for me

Oh shit what am I going to do? I don’t want to ride alone

“I’m so sorry, but-”

“I’ll be paying for two” I familiar voice said and a familiar scent wafted past my nose. I subconsciously inhaled the scent.

“Why the fuck are you every where?!” I exclaimed crossed

“I was going to ask you the same question” Alexey replied receiving our tickets

It was almost our turn to get in the Ferris wheel

“Are you stalking me?” I asked crossing my arms, making Magnus candy apple fall

I groaned in agony, I have to buy him another one when he gets back. That’s if he gets back. I could no longer find his curly messy head anymore neither could I find the dude he ran off to

“Looking for someone?” Alexey asked

“Non of your fucking business” I snapped as he gave our tickets to the ride controller

“Look who’s feisty” commented getting on the last sit available and stretching out his hands invitingly

I pushed his hands off and sat next to him. The controller secured us on our seats and ensured we were properly strapped on, having done all that, we were good to go.

“Have fun” he said to me of us?

“We’ll try” I replied staring at Alexey dryly

“What did I do?” he asked

“Just shut up” I replied frowning and looking away “I want to enjoy this ride, so I’ll pretend that you’re not sitting next to me and choking me with your sweet scent-”

He smirked “so you think I smell amazing” he asked

“You don’t.”

“But that’s what you just said, you said I smell sweet” he said smirking even more

Fuck I want to wipe that stupid smirk off his stupid face

“I did not, that was a mistake” I retorted

“That didn’t seem like a mistake to me” he replied

“It was” The ride started

“I don’t believe you. In fact I think you sniff me when I’m around you” he teased

“no Alexey” He paused for a second hearing me call him name “sniffing people is a weird and creepy thing to do, and I am not weird and creepy.”

I wonder why he paused

“Sure you’re not. You’re a feisty beast in many ways though” he said

“Please shut up” I insisted face palming

“Okay, I will, but only because you begged me” he replied

I didn’t beg him, but I’ll take what I can get

I am a weirdo and a creep, and I don’t like to admit what that insinuates.

The Ferris wheel make a complete rotation and could feel myself excited for the next

The next rotation was faster than the first and at the third we were all screaming and laughing and giggling. Well everyone on the ride except Alexey

He was definitely not having the time of his life, he looked like he was going to get sick

Why did he get on the ride if he knew that he wouldn't enjoy it?

The fun ride was over and we soon got off it

I was a little dizzy, but fine

I couldn't say the same for Alexey

“Are you okay?” I asked surprising myself by my worry

He nodded and raised a finger indicating that I should give him a minute to calm down.

I quickly bought him water while he sat down on one of the park seats close by

“Thank you” he said taking the water from my hand

“why the fuck did you get on a Ferris wheel when you know you can’t handle the activity?” I asked sitting next to him

“I didn't know he replied taking a swig of water

“What?” I was instantly surprised “are you telling me that you’ve never been on a Ferris wheel?” I asked shocked

He shook his head “This is the first time I’m entering an amusement park.” He stated blankly

I read his mind, he wasn’t lying and there was a bit of sadness to his attached to his thoughts

I didn’t know what came over me, but immediately I wanted him to find and enjoy the fun the amusement park offers

“Get up” I ordered

“Mhm” he smirked standing up “this puts certain thoughts on my head” he said biting his l”

“Fool, we’re going to try out everything here tonight” I stated “even though I and my friend have played most of the games.” I gave all my prices to different kids especially those that couldn’t win the prices they wanted.

“You came with someone?” he asked walking beside me

“Yes” I nodded

“Where’s the person now?” he asked looking around

Why is he looking around, does he even know who I came with?

“He ditched me to go woo his crush”

“ooo, that sucks” he commented

“It actually doesn't, it's cool. My friend is a crazy fuck” I said shrugging

“I came with someone too” he said rubbing the back of his neck

“Really? Where’s the person now?” I asked “why aren't you having fun with him?”

“Well we didn't actually come here to have fun only per sé he actually dragged me here. He’s a professional gamer and he came here for research concerning a game he wants to build” he replied

A thought crossed my mind, but I quickly brushed it off. It could be simple coincidence

“So why aren't you with him now?” I asked?

“I was supposed to wait for him while he bought food but then I saw you” he replied nervously

I gave him a condemning look

“so you left your friend alone just because you saw me? you’re a shitty friend” I replied

He laughed

“It’s not like that, he’ll understand when I explain shit to him later. Besides he barely ever comes out, so hopefully he'll socialize a little and meet new people” he said.

I scoffed.
