Irena
Speak of the little devil, "Nala!" I exclaimed picking her up and spinning her around while she laughed adorably.
"Irena, I've missed you!" She cried out pouting, her large brown eyes twinkling in excitement.
"I've missed you too Nala, look at you, I leave you for a year and you have gotten way taller and bigger," I observed.
Her blonde hair had grown longer and she looked healthier and better.
"And you still look the same, but more beautiful!" She replied
I noticed she had a few missing teeth. Nala is the only human child that had survived the gruesome transformation from a human to a vampire. She was a six-year-old orphan who was kidnapped by a mad vampire to serve as his food source. We found out before it was too late, but hoping to kill her, the vampire whose name I have forgotten, injected her with some of his blood and fled, abandoning her.
Nala was close to death throughout the whole transformation process that lasted for three days, which was fast since she was a child. The transformation period for adults could last for more than a month since manifestations occur little by little. I caught the evil bastard and dealt with him so bad, that the thought of it puts fear in the heart of those that hear it, just like other cases I've been involved with or to put simply: taken care of.
"Thank you Nala, that meant a lot to me," I was smiling widely because I told her the truth. A compliment from her meant a lot to me.
After her transformation, she had lived here in my villa with all her needs provided for and my staff available to take care of her. She was like a daughter to me, one I loved so much. Just like those I care about, she was close to my heart and I would not hesitate to deal with those that try to hurt her.
"Alright, Nala," Jane, one of my staff said taking her off my arms, " time to learn."
Nala stared at her with adorable puppy eyes, "please Jane, can't I learn later?"
We laughed, Jane shook her head in disagreement, "no Nala, you have to learn now, if you learn fast and well, you can come back in time to hang out with Queen Ursula before she goes off for her meeting."
Nala grumbled annoyed, as she went away with Jane to be homeschooled. I had employed a tutor to tutor her on basic human and vampire knowledge she needed to know as she grows up.
I asked for breakfast to be brought to my room, while I took a long-needed bath and changed into something sexy and comfortable. I can't afford to not always look good, I'm a queen after all, and I'm always in my element. After a delicious and satisfying meal, I decided to take a nap, I needed as much rest as I could get for the meeting that would be held a few hours for now.
I woke up several hours later, feeling refreshed and slightly ready to face the annoying council members, Magnus has been awake for a while and had had breakfast. He was even dressed for the meeting.
"Looking good," I commented descending the flight of stairs that led to my room.
"I know," he replied. He was wearing a black vintage suit with plain black pants. He had on his neck some gold necklaces and matching rings, with his curly hair glistening and glowing, he had a little makeup on too; darkening his eyelids, making his grey eyes pop.
"You look like you're ready for drama," I commented when I reached him.
He smirked, "you know me, I'm always ready for drama," and indeed he was, Magnus lived for drama. "I look amazing, but you-" he clicked his tongue thrice. "You look more than amazing, I can't find the words,"
"Of course, it's me you're talking about," I laughed.
I was dressed up wearing just a black fishnet top, with black tapes covering my exposed breasts, a crazily ripped baggy pair of boyfriend jeans with black fishnet leggings inside, on my legs were a pair of black leather heels. My red hair was packed and wrapped in a high bun, and with a little makeup on my eyes, my large green eyes were popping. I was going to stand out, and that's the point. I looked ready for drama, heck I am drama itself.
"Shall we?" Magnus asked dramatically extending his arms.
"We shall," I looped his arms with mine and we began walking outside.
Kjov was going to drive us to the home of the councils, and he was already waiting for us with the car door of the SUV opened.
"You look dashing," he commented.
I smirked and blew him a kiss, "when do I not?"
He chuckled and closed the door after us, before going behind the wheel.
"Why didn't you take the mustang?" I asked Kjov as he started driving.
"I didn't think of it Queen Ursula, my apologies,"
Asking his the question made me think about having sex with Alexey in his mustang, I wonder how he was doing, he would be surprised to find out that I wasn't in the country, maybe a little annoyed that I didn't inform him before leaving, such a self-entitled fuck. thinking about him made me almost miss him, I felt like telling myself that I almost miss him would stop me from feeling like I actually miss him. It was even more futile when I tried thinking of his annoying actions and statements, everything I tried proved to be a waste of time, and so I joined Magnus in drinking wine and talking about stuff that wasn't related to a chestnut-haired handsome bastard.
By the time we got to the council house, Magnus was already drunk on wine, but then when was he not? He'll be good, he can handle himself.
We soon arrived at our destination, and we were late, just the way I like it. The council house wasn't easy to find, it was located in a museum run by vampires and the council hall could be found in a hidden part of the museum. The Museum was empty, save for a few security guards. There was nothing unusual about it as the museum is always void of its workers when a council meeting is to be held.
The guards greeted us as we walked in and after passing through the secret passage, two guards opened the dual doors that led to the hall where the gathering of the head of all voice clans, powerful and ancient, and where all great decisions have been made after the great war.
All heads turned in our direction as soon as we walked in, and as I confidently walked in, I could feel their scrutinizing stares, giving me thrill a taste of the thrill I'd been waiting for.
I was the youngest member of the vampire council and the youngest queen to have ever ruled a vampire clan. Some of the members of the vampire councils had reasons to dislike me, I was stubborn and I made decisions without giving a fuck about anyone's opinion, and to make matters worse, I may have revealed our existence to a human. They don't know that yet that Fabian Ruiz isn't dead but had escaped the fight alive, and that would give them even more reason to dislike me. But none of them would dare to go against me openly or succeed in challenging me.
I had the strongest clan and I am more powerful than them, but this hasn't stopped many from trying to challenge me, which ended up being bad for them. I may be disliked by some of the council members, but my decisions had saved millions including them, so in the end, I was well respected, disliked, and feared.
"Decided to join us, Queen Ursula?"
