Typical Alley Scene

　　Irena's POV

　　I was fuming when I walked into the club. I marched to the room where the girls got prepared for the night's activities.

　　"I want someone here to tell me about August's whereabouts now!" I thundered, frustrated that none of the guards could give me something tangible.

　　I had asked Carlos to go to the security room and check the CCTV footage, while I asked the rest of the girls about her whereabouts.

　　They all looked startled, "I asked a question, stop looking at me like fools, and give me an answer quickly. August is in danger,"

　　The expression on their faces was that of shock.

　　"August is in danger? She left here two hours ago saying that she was going to see a friend," Amber, one of the girls spoke up.

　　" Did she say which friend or at least give a location?" I asked, pleading inwardly that they would give me something useful.

　　They shook their heads and I felt all the hope I had shattered.

　　Why the fuck would August leave without informing anyone about where she was heading to?

　　I turned to leave, "wait!" Izzy, another of my girls, called out. " This might not be useful, but I did overhear her trying to memorize a number before she left, it sounded like an address because she was on a call with someone and they planned to meet,"

　　I signed in relief, grateful for the information.

　　"Please do you remember the number?" I mean it would be totally stupid and annoying if she had said all that only to forget the number. But I had no qualms, Izzy was a smart vampire.

　　She nodded, "yes, I do."

　　I took out my phone to type the number, "please tell me, I'll save it on my phone,"

　　"Alright, it's was 397404,"

　　I dialed it on my phone, quickly left the room, and walked to the club looking for Carlos. Luckily, he was looking for me too.

　　"There was nothing useful in the CCTV footage, it just showed her getting into her car and driving off. Nothing else, we can't really get any useful information from the footage," he quickly informed me as soon as he saw me.

　　"Izzy gave me a number she had called out during a phone call right before she left. It could probably be an address," I said, bringing out my phone.

　　" Alright, my laptop is in your car, I'll check if it's an address,"

　　We hurried to my car, he had driven the Bentley. We got into the car and I called out the number, while Carlos typed it in.

　　It was the address of a small supermarket a few kilometers from here.

　　"Alright quick, drive us there," I ordered. Adrenaline was flowing through my veins. If August is hurt, I would kill anyone involved.

　　We drove to the supermarket and I quickly alighted, leaving Carlos to park the car in the car park.

　　I looked around the supermarket and August's car; A Benz was nowhere to be found.

　　I prayed to myself that we had not driven here in vain and August is somewhere else suffering.

　　I decided to go into the supermarket to search for August. It was a small supermarket, and Carlos joined me eventually. Together we checked the supermarket, asking the attendant if anyone resembling August had been there. But she said no one had been at the supermarket all day.

　　I was getting frustrated.

　　Carlos went to search the areas around the supermarket and I kept on calling August.

　　My fifth attempt to reach August was interrupted by Carlos's call.

　　"Madam, you should come and see this," he said

　　"Where are you?" I inquired looking around but catching no sight of him.

　　"Just ten blocks away, you should go behind the supermarket and keep walking, you'll find me," the whole thing sounded fishy to me.

　　I hung up and went behind the supermarket. There was an empty alley and kept on walking straight just as Carlos had instructed. The whole area was different from the rest of the city. It seemed vacant and I could tell that it was once part of a company.

　　I saw him standing by one of the buildings, a warehouse.

　　"What is this about?" I asked curiously.

　　"Just follow me, I saw something crazy," he replied and started walking towards the back of the warehouse.

　　My senses were heightened as I followed him. One could never be too cautious around these places and I didn't know what he was about to show me. I had bad vibes about the place.

　　We halted in front of a car. I walked closer and on top of the windshield was August's bloody body sprawled, with a wooden stake drive into her chest.

　　I stood in shock and disbelief, staring at the body.

　　I refused to believe what I was seeing.

　　"Madam?" Carlos called watching with a worried expression on his face.

　　"We have to find out who did this," I spat out angrily, my voice echoing through the empty area. " Look around," I ordered, "search for anything that would be useful,"

　　Carlos nodded and proceeded to look around the warehouse.

　　I called other security members from the club and asked them to come. I needed as much help as I could get if we wanted to find something that would lead us to the killers and also I needed to get rid of her body and the car before the police found out.

　　They arrived thirty minutes later and everyone was in shock when they saw the body.

　　The stake was removed from her chest and her body was lifted from the car and placed in a carcass bag.

　　My blood was boiling with rage and I wanted revenge.

　　I asked some of the security men to join Carlos in the search for any form of evidence or anything that we could use to find the murderers, while others cleaned the car. I ensured that the windshield was repaired to avoid questions from the police when it was being driven back to Sodom City.

　　I was making appropriate calls and making inquiries. I also informed the council members because this wasn't an issue that I can figure out myself if I don't inform others and get as much help as I could get. I was going to ensure the murderer was caught no matter what. They had come for someone I care about a lot and it was going to be hell for them.

　　I saw Magnus rushing to meet me.

　　"What the fuck?!" He exclaimed and shuddered when he saw the body.

　　"Oh my god, who did this?!" He was fuming angrily.

　　I was too angry to talk. Magnus joined Carlos and the rest of the security men to search for evidence.

　　I sat at a corner watching the men do as I instructed them.

　　"Madam!" One of the security men called.

　　I looked up in alarm. Have they found another body? Or solid evidence?

　　Two men rushed out carrying someone and I stood up quickly confused.

　　"What's going on?"

　　The rest of the team searching came out to find out what was going on.

　　I walked closer to them and was shocked and confused.

　　Why were they carrying an unconscious August?

　　"I don't understand what's this about? Is this some kind of joke?" I asked, looking at them.

　　They looked just as confused as I was. I looked at the body bag, August's body was still in the bag. Her body was still in the bag right?

　　"Open up that bad!" I ordered urgently. I was very confused.

　　Two of the men opened the bag and looked up even more confused.

　　"What?" I asked, peering into the bag.

　　The body in the bag was no longer August's but a totally unrecognizable person.

　　"What the fuck?!" Magnus exclaimed, shocked to the bone.

　　What the hell is going on?

　　They quickly put August's unconscious body in my car and I drove her to my mansion, having called Dr. Cells informing him to be on his way.

　　What the fuck was going on?

　　Magnus called to inform me that the body we found was not even that of a vampire but a human.

　　How did they manage to make the body look like August?

　　And why did they do it?

　　Was it some sort of threat?

　　A warning?

　　I was so confused and I had so many questions.

　　Why would anyone kill a human just to threaten me?

　　It was obvious that it was done by vampires because humans were unaware of our existence or what if Fabian was behind all of this?

　　He is after all aware of our existence and must have informed others about it. But if so, why kill a human?

　　So many thoughts ran through my head as I drove to my house. I glanced at August's body from time to time, she was still lying there, unmoving.

　　Why are all these confusions coming now?
