El Luchadore
Irena's POV
I had officers Garcia and Iglesias drive me there and on the way I phoned Pablo.
"I may have found the fucker that hit us, get a few vampires and rendezvous with me," I instructed.
"Wow, boss, you don't fuck around." There it is that Pablo pattern of speech I've grown to appreciate so much.
"Now Pablo!" I demanded.
"Yes boss, we're on our way." He responded before hanging up the phone.
It wasn't a long drive because I had instructed the officers to turn on their sirens informing other cars in traffic that this was an emergency so they'd move out of our way and we'd arrive quicker but seated in the back seat alone with nothing to do but create scenarios in my head of the numerous and imaginative ways I'd get the arsonist to spill all his secrets, I found myself seeing the beauty of the city's nightlife for the first time since arriving earlier in the evening.
Vibrant colors and lights lit up every building we passed by in a hurry each with its own loud and unique music, making the night feel like a radio, and the speedy way we passed the buildings made it feel like we were flipping through the channels, it was quite something.
A normal human wouldn't have experienced this, but as a vampire, I also picked up various wonderful scents and smells of wonderful Mexican cuisine as we drove by food stands and restaurants.
I'm pretty sure I just took a whiff of the best tacos I've ever smelled, interesting.
It reminded me of why I established a club here in the first place.
In the heart of this culture-rich City and that fuelled me with even more rage at the fact that some imbecile would so blatantly take that from me, and that inspired even more vicious and imaginative ways in which I was going to make him pay once I get my claws on him or in him.
"We're here ma'am," The two policemen informed as the car slowed to a halt in front of the El Luchadore club, a big building, impressive looking, with loud music bursting through the walls but something was missing, maybe it was the music throwing me off or my strong desire for the blood of my enemies but I just couldn't place my finger on it.
"Good work Officers," I commended as I noticed that my vampires had arrived shortly before with Pablo and were awaiting my arrival, poised to say I wasn't shocked to see Mia there, possibly here for revenge, good it's always good closure to cause harm to those who have wronged you when I find the arsonist and his friends she can have whatever is left of them.
"Oh and boys." I stopped with one leg already out the car door just before hopping out to look at the policemen through the rearview mirror.
"Remember to forget " They responded in unison.
"Excellent," I smiled in approval as I stepped out of the vehicle and gestured for them to drive off with their final instructions for the night, to erase all records of these events and any findings they had previously collected on Sodom City, can't have the police snooping around in vampire business.
"Boss, I got the guys you wanted, how do you wanna play this, we could just burst in there and give those puta Madres hell's fury like they've never had," Pablo asked with conviction in his eyes, as branch manager this was very much his club too, after all, the offer to storm the club, guns blazing was tempting but there would've been innocent casualties, plus I had just given instructions for all our records to be wiped out of the police database.
What purpose would it serve if we undid that by causing a scene and inviting police attention again not to mention the fact we don't know what the bastard we're here for looks like.
As I thought to myself, out of the corner of my eye I spotted a man hand over his keys to a young man who then hopped in and drove it into an underground parking garage, it was a very innovative and impressive idea which I would most likely steal when I rebuild my club, but it also gave me a realization of what was so off, what was missing.
I thought, where was the Neon Green Mustang?
"Valets!" I called out suddenly looking away from Pablo and fixing my eyes on one of them as I started to walk straight to him.
"¿Que?" Pablo said suddenly in confusion.
I reached the young man who was unsurprisingly rendered speechless by my charm but this was no time to watch some kid embarrass himself in an attempt to catch himself, as he repeatedly trips over his own words.
"Focus Diego!" I searched through his mind to find that he did in fact park the neon green car and I also got the face of the man who arrived in the car.
"Good boy Diego, you've been very useful," I commended him as I tapped his face lightly and walked away gesturing with my finger for him to follow which he did.
" Si Senorita, gracias." He moaned softly with a silly smiling expression on his face as he walked slowly behind me.
"Pablo, have your men take Diego here he's the valet that parked the arsonist's car and lay in wait for the arsonist at the back exit should he flee the club, and have two guys watching the car."
"Sure thing boss, but why do we need the kid?" Pablo asked, I guess it was past due for him to say something dumb.
"Do you know who you'll be lying in wait for Pablo?" I inquired in a tired tone making sure to wear my disappointment heavy on my voice.
"No boss." He said, realizing immediately how silly he must have been.
"Do you understand now why you need the valet that parked his car and very obviously interacted with him tonight?" I asked once again, laying heavy on the disappointment in my tone as the other vampires started to snicker and giggle in a hushed manner.
"Si boss, claro." He responded feeling completely silly at this point. His face was flushed.
"Good, then I believe a lesson has been learned here tonight," I said in a quirky manner as I turned to walk towards the entrance of the club gesturing simultaneously for Mia to follow.
"Shut up! Stop laughing, you puta madres!" I heard Pablo curse at the other vampires as the snickering and giggles graduated to full-blown laughter before they dispersed to lay in wait in their respective spots.
Getting into the club was easy enough, these things always are for me. I had been informed of the El Luchadore club before any of this, Sodom City's main competitor in Mexico, and I would have to be the first to admit it did not disappoint.
The spread was quite impressive, the turnout was large enough that they'd cut a profit but still few enough that they'd remain an exclusive spot.
They weren't just letting anyone in, as expected from the second-best club in Mexico.
We made our way to the VIP section which the arsonist mentioned to the girls he was with. Fucking idiot thought that rather than laying low for a while, a blatant celebration would be the best course of action for someone who has had such an eventful evening.
We reached the VIP booths and there he was the little slimy fucker, nestled up in-between two girls bragging about destroying my hard work.
"-Si Mamacita, it was me and my boys-" he said to them boastfully as they giggled no doubt enjoying the pay he got for doing what he did to my club.
"Who paid you?" I asked, interrupting him.
"¿Quién diablos eres tú?" He asked dismissively without even looking twice, cocky little prick.
"Don't worry about who the fuck I am, you'll find out soon enough," I said slowly drawing closer to him as he looked me straight in the eyes.
"Coño!" He said in realization as he flipped his table and rushed for the back exit with Mia giving chase hot on his tail. I wasn't worried, he and everything he knew would be mine by the end of the night.
As I stood there in the VIP section which was an elevated set of balconies that encircled the main floor I looked over to the other side where I recognized Alexey of all people.
He was with a girl.
I watched as they exchanged a passionate kiss before leading him to the hall with the back rooms for exactly what I thought they would be going back there to do.
I was enraged. But why would I be?
He owes me nothing and I owe him even less.
Why am I so pissed?
"Fuck you, Alexey!" I cursed under my breath as I left the club through the back exit where Pablo and the others were waiting for me.
"We got him, boss, we got the puta madre." He said fiercely and reassuringly as he gestured to the van in which they held the arsonist.
"You coños are making a terrible mistake, you don't know who you're dealing with!" He yelled as he banged at the van from the inside. This was the second time he had called me a cunt and one more might cost him his tongue.
"Take him to the warehouse." I ordered and they drove off in the van while Pablo and I took his 'baby' for another spin to rendezvous at the warehouse.
When we got there someone had already gotten started on torturing him and I could hear his screams soon as I walked into the warehouse.
One of many scattered across Mexico City these warehouses supplied drinks to my clubs but today this one served as something different;
A torture box, his own personal hell.
As I approached the room where he was being held the sounds I heard became clearer.
"Robbie was a good man!" Mia exclaimed, followed by a scream of pain from the arsonist.
"He never did anything to you!" She yelled out again and again and he cried out in pain.
"Stop!" I ordered walking through the door, which triggered immediate obedience in Mia giving the arsonist a moment of reprieve so naturally, like an idiot, he took it as an opportunity to gloat.
"Does your mama also wipe your ass for you sweetheart?" He said while making kissy faces through his beaten and swollen lips.
"Hm, maybe I'll give you a few more moments with him," I said as I shut the door slowly and walked away to the melodic sound of his receding screams.
I returned a little before Dawn to find a beaten down broken sorry husk of a man who at this point just wanted to be killed, a fitting look for a lowlife like this.
"Who paid you?" I asked holding up his head with his hair but got no response from his drooling mouth, or what was left of it.
"Damn Mia, you really did a number on him," I said, allowing myself a moment to admire the work of a fine torturer. I was impressed as torturing was also my major indulgence.
"I'm sorry Miss Ursula, I got carried away, I was just so pained!" I understood that much, part of the reason why I let her keep him for this long was that after what I saw Alexey do yesterday I'm not sure I'd have been fully able to contain myself from completely destroying this man without getting anything out of him.
"It's okay Mia," I reassured her.
"He might be trapped inside his mind due to the severe trauma he's endured through the night but that's not a problem for me at all," I said looking at the once cocky little shit that destroyed my club and caused so many deaths, not so much so now I guess.
"Now to find out what I need to know," I said as I dived into his mind to search for the information I needed about the mystery man that hired him.
"Juan Pablo AKA the arsonists," I said out loud the first thing I learned upon entering his mind.
"Show me what you know, Juan Pablo. What were you hiding?" I said just before exiting his mind abruptly and retreating backward at the shock of what I had just learned.
"No, it can't be, it couldn't possibly be." I was in disbelief that I had just made an unexpected discovery, for a split second I doubted the authenticity of the information I had just received. But how could I? This is the most authentic method to get the truth out of a person, and yet I found myself asking; How could this be?
