Carlisle
After Damon left the room, the tension was so high for more than a minute, Arabella had to make a joke before we were all able to move on. Everyone else seemed used to seeing their Alpha butt naked, I was the only one that had seemed remotely shocked and the silence that had ensued in the room after he’d left was because of me.
Emerald had been telling us all about her time as a young mother when her son had slammed the door open, naked. My eyes had been immediately drawn to what stood proudly between his legs and I even felt myself salivate. At the end, most of my shock lay in knowing that the sight of him and how manly he looked made me crave tasting him just to see if he tasted as good as he looked but I’d quickly removed those thoughts from my mind as I started feeling moisture between my legs and from what I’d read, wolves could sniff out the scent of arousal and I didn’t want to give Damon any thoughts.
I could still hear him breathing behind the door and from the look on everyone’s faces, they could too and they were waiting for one of us to make a move.
Taking the initiative to leave before anyone says anything, I get up quickly and ask to be excused, rushing out with Owen right behind me, I don’t look at Damon as I step out. Immediately looking for the door out of his home and hoping Owen is behind me to take me on the tour he promised.
As I hoped, Owen is right behind me immediately I step out.
“Slow down princess.”
Halting my steps, I dig my fingers into my hands and try to slow down the pace of my heart. Schooling my expression into one of neutrality, I face Owen and smile at him.
“What’s the first direction for our tour?”
The expression on his face shows that he knows I am trying to distract myself but he plays along anyways. Walking forward to meet me, he places my hand in the crook of his and leads the way.
“Ours is a big pack so I’m afraid we have a long journey ahead of us, first, I will take you to the most interesting place to be in, the training center, you’ll just love it.”
I’m about to scoff at the suggestion when I notice the expression on his face, he’s trying to make me laugh. I giggle and pinch his hands.
“I need entertainment, not a reason to fall asleep.”
“Yes ma’am.”
He continues to pull me along a path lines with stones and what looks like a garden. There are flowers of all kind and the scent from them all is almost overpowering but still all I needed to calm my head.
Taking my hands from him, I go towards a purple looking flower and close my eyes.
“This is the garden of the former Luna and I’ve always thought it was the most beautiful sight but now, I think that’s you.”
Snapping my eyes open, I stare at Owen and the look on his face almost makes me gasp, he’s looking at me so intensely. Almost like how Damon did that first day when he’d seen me undressed. Moving back a little I try to take my mind from the thought of whatever is going through Owen’s head.
Damon
After Carlisle rushes out of the room, I go up to my room to clean up and change. I’m leaving the shower when my sister comes in with a determined expression on her face.
“What’s going on little one?”
She ignores my greeting and goes straight into question mode.
“Did you two fight?” She asks with her hand on her waist, looking like she’s about to beat me up.
“Please tell me you didn’t fight with your mate who you spent decades looking for and a few other days trying to save.
Sighing, I look away from her and go stand at my favorite spot in front of the window. “We didn’t fight. She just suddenly rejected to be my mate.”
