CHAPTER 61.

  ANNABEL'S POV.

I walked around the house is search for the man I loved even if I knew he didn't like me back, I had no idea how I could literally be head over heels for someone that wasn't even my mate, I wanted to get a chance to spend with him, but he had no interest in me at all and moreover I hadn't seen him since he save me which was quite sweet of him perhaps that's why I fell in love with me.

I wasn't supposed to even be in this house but who cares I just want to see him again even if it's just to have a chit-chat but to my disappointment he was nowhere to be found, I know without a doubt that I was going to reject my real mate if I saw him right now for I couldn't be with another and love another it seriously doesn't work for me that way even if it works for other girls

I walked out of the house and towards the garden where dozens of different flowers were planted, oh how much I love them I mean who wouldn't like to see a beautiful garden with flowers all over the place, if I have a chance my room would be a garden, but I wasn't allowed to do that, I picked out a water Lily from the small lake in the garden and began to pick it out one by one.

Water lilies are one of the most beautiful flowers in the world, but I have no idea why I enjoyed picking them out. Maybe it's because I find it fun to do but nevertheless I think I need to take a little nap right here in the garden before I go anywhere.

  RAYMOND'S POV.

I looked towards the garden from my room and saw her sitting by the lake picking out water lilies, I barely know her how could I possibly be mated to her, but she was beautiful, mateless and not a whore unlike other pretty ladies I knew, I would have loved to just go down there and talk to her right now but watching her from afar seems more beautiful than anything hold on, did I just say watching her is beautiful? I asked myself, but then I shook my head and closed the curtains.

I picked out a piece of paper to write to Emily, perhaps accepting her offer would do good for me and I despised Damon. Long ago Damon and I weren't really friends, but we weren't enemy's either but then Damon chose to betray me in such a way that literally no one has.

I understand that he was an alpha and alphas are literally driven by that pride but at some point he seemed different from other alphas from my perspective though but little did I know he will just stab me in the back when I needed him, even if we weren't really friends at least he would have shown some sympathy but rather he had a mischievous smile on his face and

walked away like he never knew me or my family.

I stood up from the chair with the letter in my hand and handed over to the guard stationed in front of my room as a way of getting him out of the way, I had no idea why exactly he was even stationed here it's not like I don't know how to protect myself because it seriously irritated me when I see him just standing there

I walked out of the room in search of Israel; a friend of mine. I knew Emily and she could do anything she planned on doing today so if she was meant to do anything towards I have to take Annabel out of here for she was not allowed to see me till Emily finishes what she is meant to do, I knocked on the room and the door immediately flew open making me to look at him with a weird look on my face.

"Are you ok?" I asked, and he just gave out a little laugh.

"I'm fine dude, I was going to go out but what do you need?"

"Can you help me take Annabel to the penthouse? I'll be there in a short time"

  "Sure"

"She's in the garden, maybe half way asleep"

"How can someone sleep in the garden?" Israel laughed.

"Annabel of course, she's one of a kind get here there please"

"Well someone is in love" he teased.

"I would have killed you right here, but I have a lot of work to do"

  "Take it easy lover boy"

"I swear Israel..." He jumped off the stairs just before I could get a hold of him, and then he ran, making me shake my head.

I walked back to my room and picked out a pair of pants and a black t-shirt to wear. If Emily was to send my guard back with her own letter then I needed to be prepared to meet Annabel in the penthouse and see exactly what Emily had in store for me.

  EMILY'S POV.

I paced back and forth in the room feeling restless, I needed Raymond to agree to this deal as soon as possible. Damon has been nothing but a pain in the ass, and I was going to do anything to get revenge on him and the only way to get to him is Annabel which was his only weak point.

He had gladly rejected his mate for heavens knows what but right now all I really wanted was Raymond's reply and I hoped it gets here as soon as possible. A sudden knock on my bathroom door made me snap my head towards the door. I walked towards the door and opened it. A man was soon there with a very weird scent and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion while looking at him.

"Who let you in?" I asked, and the man held a letter up.

"Mr Raymond sent this to you and yes I let myself in"

"Go" he nodded before he left, and I immediately shut the door.

I ripped the envelope open immediately and opened the paper, I read carefully word by word making sure I don't miss any word, and then I saw the exact words I needed to see, he had accepted it which meant I had to find where Annabel and Raymond were right now, I kept the paper in my bedside cupboard and grabbed the potion on it.

I walked out of my room and called out for Mirabel; a witch that works for me, and she appeared in front of me like always, I handed her the potion she had given me earlier, and I grabbed her hand.

"Find Annabel now" she nodded her head and snapped her fingers.

We appeared in a strange dark place and to my surprise my mouth was sealed making me furrow my eyes in confusion, I couldn't see or hear anyone, not even Mirabel who brought me here.

"Mirabel!" I yelled in the room, but then a sudden thought came to me.

I remembered a certain time when we were working a spell on someone, and she literally took me to a forest with no directions. I always fail to understand why she takes me to weird places, and won't find anyone. That's the most frustrating part about how Mirabel's magic works.

But right now I really didn't have a choice, I sat on the fall and waited for her peacefully.

  ANNABEL'S POV.

I laid on the floor with one piece of water lily in my hand when I suddenly heard footsteps walking towards me, but I didn't stand up to look at the person, if it was trouble then I could easily protect myself but other than that someone might just be looking for me, but I don't really remember anyone seeing me in this house though but nevertheless whoever it was will surely reach me.

I perceived his muscular and natural scent while trying to remember who exactly owns that scent, I knew who it was, but I couldn't clearly remember as he walked closer the scent became stronger and stronger, but I still was feeling lazy to get up and just check.

"Annabel." The moment I heard my name my head snapped towards his direction.

I stood up to look at him. "Israel! Well, what brings you here?" I smiled, making him laugh.

"Well I have a surprise for you."

"A surprise? How did you even know I was here?"

"Well my nose seems to catch your scent quickly in the halls, so I figured I should look for you wherever you are and this is where it leads me to"

"You are a very bad liar Israel, now tell me the truth" I laughed, and he gave out a sigh.

"Ok fine! A little bird told me you were here, and I wanted to show you a surprise"

"Is it something I can carry?"

"No I just want to show you, and I'm very sure you'll like it and moreover I'll tell you the real surprise when we get there" he grabbed my hands and walked towards the house.

"Israel, what exactly do you want to show me?"

"Relax woman, you take way too much." I watched as he walked through different corners.

I was so confused about everything but deep down inside I felt that something special was going to happen today but for some reason I just can't figure it out, we suddenly appeared in a clear space which made me furrow my eyebrows.

  "Where are we?"

"We are close to where I'm taking you to" he pulled me again.

I was slowly getting exhausted from walking about a place I didn't even know if it was this far. They could have just shifted into their wolf form and ran rather than going to a scavenger hunt without directions.

  "And here we are!"

"This is an... Oh my goodness!" I gasped as I saw a very large building.

"This really isn't really the surprise but common, I have to show you before he probably kills me"

  "Who sent you?"

"You'll meet him inside" Israel gave out a fake smile before putting his hand inside his pocket.

We walked into the building and it turns out it has been here a long time but how come I've never seen it? We walked into the elevator, and he pressed the penthouse button making my jaws drop and looked at him.

  "The penthouse"

"Yep! Let me explain something to you. When you get inside you do exactly what you want no one is stopping you but right now you need to take a long shower and change your clothes you look like you got hugged by a kid covered in mud."

"Says the man who had me running for miles when our wolves aren't dead!" I yelled at him, and he made a face.

"I'm sorry I was just in a hurry to get here"

"My clothes aren't here so tell me how exactly am I supposed to change without clothes."

"Everything you need is inside, trust me and if you need help there's a maid now."

"Wait what..." He pushed me out of the elevator and waved as the door began to close, "... Who am I even meeting?!"

"You'll know when you see him" he smiled at me before the door shut and boy do I felt like punching him in the face right now

"Good day ma'am." I turned and saw who seemed to be the maid.

"Hi! Can you please show me where I can change?"

  "Yes ma'am"

"No, please call me Annabel." The maid nodded and opened the door before I followed her.

The penthouse was indeed very beautiful without a doubt and whoever this mysterious person was I really needed to tell him I am flattered, its interior designs were nothing like I have ever seen.

The maid opened the door and refused to enter the room which only meant this was my room in an unknown house. I thanked her before I walked in, and she left. I immediately went to the bathroom to have a nice warm bath and find some clothes to wear.

  RAYMOND'S POV.

I walked out of the elevator and walked inside the room, a sudden scent of vanilla and wet soil hit me like a ton of brick, but again the scent suddenly became faint making me furrow my eyebrows in confusion, I brushed it off and walked towards the kitchen to make something.

Though I had a maid in here, sometimes I just felt the urge to cook myself and now that Annabel was coming I just needed to get something done before they got here, but then he wondered why they weren't here yet but nevertheless I still had more time in my hands.

  "Hi"

"What the hell?" I growled at the woman that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Her eyes were bright purple and I became extremely confused, but then I realized she was a witch when she began to chant something in different languages. I could barely get whatever she was saying straight but then again why did she suddenly appear and begin to chant some spell.

"Who the hell are you? And what brings you here?" She continued whatever she's doing for fifteen minutes straight and when she was done she just smiled and snapped her fingers.

She disappeared through thin air. I was still a little lost as to what brought her here or did Emily perhaps send her here to place a spell on both of them but If that was the case I wouldn't be able to remember anything, I brushed it off and continued what I was doing.

  ANNABEL'S POV.

I turned the shower on and immediately the warm water touched my skin. I felt relaxed. I wasn't going to lie. I was nasty, dirty and probably hungry too, and I'm supposed to meet whoever this person was and get to know the person perhaps because this was definitely beyond me.

I turned the shower off then a mixed chocolate and lily scent and a cinnamon thick scent hit my nose like tons of bricks and a huge smile appeared on my face. I finally found my true mate that I've been waiting for, for ages.

I tied a towel around my body and walked into the room. I opened the closet and saw numerous clothes of her size in it. Did this person know that I was his mate before all this was arranged because it seemed very suspicious.

I picked out a pair of undergarments to wear, some black shorts and a t-shirt. I wanted to just dress casually even if it was already a special occasion, I couldn't wait to see who my mate was or break the news to my brother.

I wore a pair of flip-flops and walked out of the room in search of him, the scent was all over the house and the maid was absolutely nowhere to be found. I traced the scent towards what seems to be the kitchen and just when I stepped inside a very familiar looking body stood there.

He slowly turned around and our eyes met, it felt as though everything around me had stopped. All I could really see was him though a lot of questions flooded my mind but right this moment was just too precious to miss out on, he slowly walked towards me as I stood there completely frozen.

He placed his hand on my left cheek causing a tingling feeling in both of us. I sensed his sudden body posture. I felt confused about how this whole situation could really be happening right now. I was in love with Raymond since he saved me but didn't we recognize each other as mates right from the start?
