In a hotel room in the city of Necity, in the country of Sucinni, a man sat on the bed. He was wearing only a towel, having just finished showering. A moment later, there was a knock on the hotel room door. The man quickly stood up and opened it.
A woman with curly blonde hair smiled shyly at the man in the towel. The man touched the woman’s hand and pulled her inside the room.
"How long?" the woman asked, referring to the duration.
The man in the towel grinned. "Why ask? I can pay you whatever you want."
The man in the towel immediately embraced the blonde woman. He didn't hesitate to kiss her neck and then slipped his hand down to her chest.
The blonde woman couldn’t move as the handsome, dapper man explored her body. It was rare for her to get such a handsome customer.
The blonde woman's name was Anastasia Baker. She was a prostitute from a well-known brothel in Necity, the Lotus House.
"What's your name, beautiful?" the man in the towel asked as he began to undress Ana.
Ana struggled to answer, feeling a strange sensation throughout her body. Although she was used to serving men who needed to release their desires, this was still exciting.
"A-Ana, Sir," Ana replied.
"Don't call me sir. I’m your lover in bed. Call me Eddy," the man said.
Eddy successfully left Ana wearing nothing. Ana’s body was very white and smooth. Even though she was a prostitute, Ana liked to take care of herself. She didn’t want the men who used her to gossip about her body being unfit.
"Ho, ho. No wonder Zack charged me so much," Eddy said, looking at Ana’s body. "Why would a woman like you become a prostitute?"
This was such a stupid question. What business did this man have asking that? Ana just wanted to make money from her job. She wasn't interested in telling him her sad life story to make him feel sorry for her. Ana’s desire suddenly vanished.
"I’m sorry, I came to serve you, sir." Ana looked at Eddy. He really was handsome. He seemed like an office guy. From his looks, he appeared to have enough money to order a VVIP prostitute like Ana.
Eddy wasn't interested in Ana's anger. In his eyes, Ana had no right to protest. Ana was a prostitute. She didn’t have a high enough status to object to her customer.
Eddy proceeded to satisfy his desires. He pulled Ana to the bed. He didn't care if Ana resisted. He felt he had already paid for her. Ana had no other choice but to serve her customer. This was her chosen job, and Ana could make a lot of money from it.
For one hour, Ana served Eddy. Her legs were shaky. Now Ana understood why Eddy needed to hire a prostitute. He was too wild. Most likely, no woman would want to serve him that way.
Eddy fell asleep after successfully satisfying his desires, while Ana just stayed still. Her body ached because of Eddy’s rough handling.
"What a maniac!" Ana grumbled.
Ana took the money that Eddy had left near the pillow. She had to get back to the brothel. She needed to tell Zack Bundy that she had completed her duty.
Ana got out of the taxi and entered an old-looking house. But don't be fooled. This was the most famous brothel in the city. Only wealthy people could afford the services here. Zack, the owner of the brothel, was very selective about the women he chose. When he picked women to become prostitutes here, he was meticulous. Zack's clients were elite—mostly officials and businessmen who were bored with their family lives.
Zack was smart about how he did business. He knew this kind of business was very lucrative. These crazy men wouldn’t hesitate to pay a high price for a woman.
"Take it," Ana said. She was annoyed and tired.
Zack, a tall man with his hair tied back, took a drag from his cigarette and glanced at Ana, whose body was bruised.
"He hurt you?" Zack asked.
"Next time, don't find a customer like that! I can't even move my legs!" Ana complained.
Zack just caressed Ana’s face and then kissed her cheek. "Sorry, bitch," Zack said.
Ana was still exhausted and wanted to rest until a young girl suddenly came in. She looked like she was about seventeen, while Ana was twenty-four.
Ana was shocked when she saw the teenager. It was Aby, her sister.
"What are you doing here?" Ana cried out. She couldn't believe her sister had managed to find her at the brothel. Ana was baffled that her sister could even be in a place like this.
Ana immediately stood up. She quickly grabbed Aby's hand and dragged her out of the brothel.
"Ana, Ana. Listen to me. It's an emergency!" Aby yelled.
"You, a seventeen-year-old girl, in this dirty place. This is more of an emergency than anything else!" Ana snapped.
"I don't know what else to do!" Aby retorted just as loudly as her sister.
"Are you talking back to me?"
"Yeah, I am. But that's not the point right now. I'm freaking out. Hero came to the house and trashed everything. He gave me a debt note!"
"A debt note?" Ana frowned in confusion. "I’ve never borrowed money from Hero."
Hero was a loan shark who usually lent money with an insane amount of interest.
"It's Mom's debt," Aby replied. "Mom borrowed the money before she left Sucinni. And now it’s due. They're demanding that I pay it.”
Abigail, Ana's sister’s name, looked shaky. Her face was pale, and there was a trace of blood on her lip. In an instant, Ana knew her sister had been abused. Hero was the loan shark who usually collected debts from Ana. Marie, their mother, who was now God-knows-where, had a debt with Hero.
Zack came out of the brothel and saw Ana talking to Aby. Zack’s eyes were on Aby. Aby was indeed beautiful and fresh. She was young and would definitely be a target for Zack's exclusive customers. Unfortunately, Ana would not let Zack’s eyes linger on Aby. Ana knew very well that Zack had a keen intuition when it came to money.
"Come here." Ana had to keep Aby away from Zack. She didn't want her sister to have to do the same job she did.
Ana took Aby to the bus stop. She needed to talk and calm her sister down.
"Okay, so you ran here in this kind of mess." Ana tried to hold back tears. She knew her sister was terrified. "So, what did Hero do?"
"He messed up everything in the house. He wants you to come see him tomorrow at his office," Aby replied.
Ana kept looking at Aby's trembling hands. She felt bad and immediately took them in hers. Her own body was aching from how her customer had treated her, but she had to protect her sister.
"It's alright. I’m here. You don’t have to worry. I'll go to his office tomorrow," Ana said.
Aby was instantly shocked when she heard her sister would go to the loan shark's office. "Seriously?" Aby tried to confirm.
"Yeah. Don't worry. I’ll take care of everything." Ana then hugged Aby. She couldn't imagine how scared her sister must have been at home with Hero and his guys.
"I hate Mom. She made us suffer." Aby cried because of what had happened.
"Shh, don't say that. She's still our Mom. Don't hate her."
"I did! I did hate her!" Aby yelled. "She made you do this dirty work!" Aby was truly disappointed in Marie.
Two years had passed since Ana and Aby were abandoned by Marie. She ran away after her debts piled up. And now Ana had to pay for it all so that Hero wouldn't bother her and Aby. Unfortunately, the interest on the debt kept increasing every moment, and Ana was struggling to pay Marie's debt of one million dollars.
Ana was twenty-two, while Aby was sixteen. They should have been peacefully enjoying school and college. Aby was still in school because Ana didn’t want her sister to become a loser.
