As soon as we got home, we had lunch arguing over who should eat the last slice of pizza we had ordered. After lunch, the house became unusually quiet. No voices, no footsteps, no clinking dishes from the kitchen. Just the faint hum of the AC and the rapid clicking of Jaxon’s game controller upstairs.
