I had thought I would never see her again, but my world stopped the moment I saw her sprawled on the dusty ground in the market. In that instant, I knew it was real.

Her misty eyes bored into mine, her nose scrunched with curiosity, and her mouth parted as though she wanted to say something. My heart leapt with joy, knowing that I had finally found her.
