Zephyra woke up to Valtoor gently shaking her shoulder and the smell of something burning.

"We need to move," he said quietly. "Now."

She sat up fast, instantly alert. "What's wrong?"

"Smoke," he said, pointing toward the east. "Someone's burning something about two miles from here, and it's too much smoke to be a normal campfire."
