I stepped out of the black and into the Daeva's main chamber overlooking the ocean, locked onto the feeling of my sister and the sorcery of the Daeva. It helped they hadn't left the last room I'd been in before my ill-fated flight with Mabel, making them easy to track and use as a beacon. All my concerns about my drach ancestor came flooding back as the occupants of the room reacted with varying degrees of upset at my sudden appearance.
