Agatha had been asleep for a few days now, and honestly, I wished she would just stay like that a little longer. It was peaceful without her. The house felt a little less heavy. A little less fake.

I hadn’t been doing much. Just trying to keep to myself. But today, I had no excuse to skip school. So I dragged myself out of bed, got dressed slowly, and headed out.
