AUTUMN POV

The world tilted on a soft, warm axis, a pleasant hum under my skin. Their faces swam before me, three sets of eyes wide with something I couldn’t quite name. Shock? Awe? It didn’t matter. The wine had melted the cold, hard edges inside me, leaving behind a bold, buzzing confidence.
