Autumn’s POV

When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was George sitting by my side. My heart warmed immediately because for a moment, I thought I was dreaming. His face was the first thing that greeted me, and I felt safe.

“You’re awake,” he said softly, his eyes filled with relief.

“George…” I whispered, forcing a weak smile. “You’re here.”
