"Are you okay, Mel?"

Dorian set me on the bed as we arrived in my chamber.

"I'm fine," I lied.

I was far from fine. There is a constant knot in my belly which comes with a strange pain. I purse my lips to stop myself from screaming everytime it hits.

"Are you sure?" Gio was holding my hand immediately.

My distress never goes unnoticed by him.

"You don't look fine. What's up with your belly?"
