SLOANE

My eyelids were the first to open before I stretched out my arms, a yawn escaping me. Shockingly, instead of feeling the softness of the bed’s fabric, my hand had landed on a body.

Cold instantly prickled my skin. I could vividly remember sleeping alone, so how come I woke up with someone lying beside me on my bed?

I jolted upright as fast as lightning and when I turned my head to take in who it was, I almost flinched back, my eyes widened.
