Dominic got out of the car and walked towards the house, asking the butler as he did so, "What's the situation at home?"

The old butler followed behind, respectfully saying, "The old lady went to pray. Madam Carter hasn't been going out much, but a few orchids arrived a few days ago, which Madam really likes. Miss Carter has gone to attend a banquet, and Young Master is upstairs."
