I loved the curving, winding roads of the Island, banked with tall grasses, the ditches filled with white, purple and pink lupins, edged with red soil, endless blue sky overhead. It never seemed to be cloudy here, only raining at night, though from what I gathered that wasn't the norm for this time of year.
