I step into the practical room for the first time today, my heart thumping like a drum. The familiar scent of antiseptic mingled with the earthy musk of the forested grounds outside hits me, grounding me a little. This is my first class with Kieran, and the tension from seeing him in school hasn’t faded. If anything, it’s worse now.
